While the White House dithered around, sending Americans trapped in Israel to Cyprus and other foreign locations, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis cut through the bureaucratic red tape to fly nearly 300 Floridians home to safety on Sunday. Last week, just five days after the attack on Israel, which left thousands dead and injured, DeSantis signed an executive order “authorizing rescue operations in Israel to bring Floridians home,” according to his X post on Oct. 12. “We will not leave our residents behind. To the many Floridians who are stuck in Israel, trying to get home—help is on the way.”

But our Government will pay for illegals to live anywhere they want and will also provide 5 star hotels in NY to live in , food, health care and schooling.
Screw you if you are on vacation and pay taxes.

Kinzinger is finished at CNN.
They'll never tolerate someone using their airtime to make an utter fool of himself. It would be very bad for their sterlig reputation as premier journalists.

He has such potential. Just break it off with the Bushes, Ron. That's been your big mistake.

Trump like.
Not a lot of words, but a lot of action.
I like it.
Still supporting PDJT, but the Gov just ascended in my estimation of him.
And ditto, #8.

Kinzinger embarrasses his home state, Illinois, with his wussy comments on the Governor of Florida. I wish he were from somewhere else. I am disgusted he is from the Land of Lincoln, my home, sweet home.
DeSantis got it done. Biden gets stuff done -- destructing the American way of life.

I would respectfully ask # 8 and those who think as she does to explain themselves.
So DeSantis has donors. So what? So does DJT. It is performance that matters. What have " the Bushes" to do with the governor's policies and actions?

Speaking for #9, I believe we have established the Bushes, Roves, Cheneys etc are, at a minimum, RINOS. And you could make the case (to me, anyway) they are globalists Uniparty.
By having Bush staffers in any advisory (or otherwise) capacity to his campaign, the governor gives the APPEARANCE of being part of the Uniparty.
I personally believe the Bush-Rove cabal is toxic and am not sure how they benefit the governor or his campaign.

Many thanks to Ron DeSantis and Cory Mills for showing more courage than any 50 people in the Biden administration. You exposed them for the inept fools that they are even though they are quite good at doing that all by themselves.

This was a very good move, absolutely.
It’s really too bad Desantis ran away to run for another office, betraying his constituency, after they elected to him do the job of the Governor of Florida.
- probably one of the stupidest political moves in U.S. history-
This was such a sad waste of political promise, however he did show who he is, and that he would probably have done the same,
unfortunately, to the people of the United States.

Disingenuous, # 22? Not at all. DeSantis is a straight shooting, principled conservative. His record makes that clear. There is no deep, dark RINO conspiracy. beng contemplated, np matter what that internet screwball likes to imagine.
And you know what? Our 2024 nominee is going to need the support of the entire GOP (that includes RINO voters) and squishy independents if he is to have a chance of winning the general election. I don't see how Trump (a great man, may God protect him) can pull it off. Don't believe today's meaningless polls. MAGA is just not enough, especially when you factor in Democrat cheating.

Again, you are being disingenuous, #23. Your original post asked #8 and all who shared that opinion to “explain themselves.” My response indicated that you already know why people don’t like the governor’s close relationship with Rovites and Bushites, as it has been explained many times on this thread, to you in particular. You switching gears to talk about electability doesn’t change the fact that DeSantis is running with the wrong crowd and that that crowd is giving him very bad political advice, as evidenced in the polls. But again, you know all this, hence the “disingenuous” label. I’m pretty sure you are smarter than many of your posts, which I suspect you make just to be quarrelsome.

# 25, the successful GOP nominee will need the support of the entire party, even those with whom you may not be comfortable.
And if you can explain how being less than antagonistic toward the more establishment GOP has compromised DeSantis in any way, in terms of his governance or policy advocacy, please put it on the table. Shadowy whispers and vague accusations implying guilt by association are unbecoming.
I do not seek to quarrel with people, but I will not be part of a rah-rah chorus. Of course Trump will have my vote if he is nominated, but I don't look forward to being part of a losing cause.
