Democrats in Ohio say they’ll need a

BURTON, OHIO — Abortion rights activists shocked themselves and the Ohio political world when they resoundingly defeated an August proposal that would have made it more difficult to enshrine abortion protections in the state’s constitution. The next test comes on Nov. 7, when voters will decide whether to adopt a constitutional amendment to preserve access to abortion in a state that has veered increasingly to the right since 2016. But despite their high-profile victory in August, abortion rights activists know it doesn't mean November will be a cakewalk — and Democrats still face hurdles when it comes to the 2024 political cycle.

An NBC News rah-rah piece, but one senses an undertone of uncertainty and even desperation down deep.

Included in this bill is the taking away of parental rights. Also recreational marijuana proposal making it legal. Seems anything that destroys life is in this bill. The left is sick in the head. Bonkers!

The bill covers the broad topic of "reproductive rights", which goes beyond abortion to include transgender hormone treatments and surgeries for minors without parental consent. During the recent campaign to change the state Constitution to increase the vote margin for amendments, conservatives argued for the change to protect their Constitution from this upcoming abortion amendment and other radical ideas being easily passed. Although their campaign failed, it did lay solid groundwork for this upcoming election. There is also increasing news reports of the irreversible and permanent damage done to teenagers who are subjected to the mutilation of transsexual treatments. With God's help, in the next two months the majority of voters in Ohio will realize the health and well-being of future generations are in their hands. In God We Trust.

#3~ Thank you for encapsulating, in a masterful way, the background and precarious circumstances confronting Ohio pro-life voters in November. Pro-choice activists have unlimited resources and funds to saturate states where they want to impose their “reproductive rights” agenda. Small grassroots pro-life groups do not have the financial means to establish official websites and depend on contributions sent through the U. S. Postal Service at PAC addresses registered with the State of Ohio. One such PAC (“KNOW the Truth – Issue 1” - 44905 North Ridge Road - Amherst, Ohio 44001) is among smaller groups working tirelessly to bring the truth, facts, reality to the local electorate that is being distorted and manipulated by radical activists with seemingly unlimited financial means. ~~~ Ballot language for the special election in August was considered by many to be confusing. It was reported that a very devout Catholic woman was determined to vote “against abortion” so was going to vote no to the proposed amendment to Ohio’s Constitution. She could not be convinced that she was only voting for the amendment at that point, not abortion, and should have voted yes for the amendment that might prevent passage of enshrining abortion in Ohio’s Constitution that would appear on the November ballot. Allegedly there were many Republican women concerned about “women’s safety” so voted against the amendment in August. What about the safety of babies in the womb, or children already born but being enticed to participate in mutilating their bodies due to a perverted activism effort for transgendering? Others were concerned about making amending Ohio’s Constitution more difficult by raising the threshold for future amendments from a majority to 60%. Or refusal to give “outsized power to the secretary of state and smaller counties; from a democratic state to an autocratic state" as reported by one “moderate” Republican. Lost in all of these reasonings is the MOST important reality: babies, children, and the rights of parents. Based on the history of successfully enshrining abortion in state constitutions, the invasive and legal restrictions imposed go beyond abortions to include mutilation of bodies and preventing parents from the consent, knowledge of what may involve their children, or their right to intervene. Whether people adhere to Judeo-Christian beliefs or not, it isn’t very likely that any loving parent would want to murder or mutilate their children. Simply stated, “Thou shalt not murder.” That is reason in itself to defeat the issue on the November ballot.

You can't trust US elections anymore. Not until we return to a one in-person vote, with the purple thumb or equivalent.

Here we go. The Clinton Global Initiative will launch a new network to provide ‘humanitarian aid’ to war-torn Ukraine. Of course. Recall, that Bill Clinton last year announced the Clinton Global Initiative will be hosting a leadership summit in New York in September after a 5-year hiatus. “This year’s meeting will focus on what it takes to keep going — to maintain and advance progress, in spite of the difficulties that arise, and increase our capacity to cross the divides and make common cause with one another wherever possible to build a stronger future for all,” the Clintons said in a letter to the CGI community.

President Joe Biden is seeing a series of economic, political and personal challenges pile up on the domestic front as he travels to New York City intent on making the case for American leadership on the global stage. The White House is confronted by an autoworkers’ strike that Biden himself had predicted two weeks ago wouldn’t happen. Biden’s Republican critics in the House have launched an impeachment inquiry. Administration officials are seeing gas prices rise, taking a wait-and-see approach for now. Biden’s son is freshly indicted on federal charges. And Congress is barreling toward a potential government shutdown at month’s end.

The summer was devastating for Trump from a legal perspective, after he was charged with retaining national security documents in Florida as well as with seeking to overturn the 2020 election in Washington and in Georgia, the trials for which will occur before the election.

In reality, the experience of being occupied by the Russian invaders is utterly nightmarish. It was for Galyna Matyoshko. It involved the murder of one son and the permanent injury of her other son. Her older son has had 18 surgeries and will never completely recover. For Matyoshko, this nightmare will likely follow her for the rest of her life.

A recent report published by America First Legal (AFL) details how the FBI weaponized the federal background investigation process to deny Republican presidents — specifically Donald Trump — the ability to make political appointments in an “institution-wide” violation of the Privacy Act, the Paperwork Reduction Act, and other federal statutes. Institutional disregard for the FBI Manual of Investigative Operations and Guidelines (MIOG) further contributed to this.

Three-quarters of Americans, or 76%, favor allowing the federal health care program for the elderly to negotiate prices for certain prescription drugs. That includes strong majorities of Democrats (86%) and Republicans (66%), according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. About one in five Americans are neutral on the issue, while 6% outright oppose it.

There is much to be learned about power and the press from the fact that former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson once evaded a reporter’s tough questions by hiding in an industrial fridge. For months, Johnson, a former journalist himself, had refused to be interviewed on prime-time breakfast television. If Johnson wouldn’t go to Good Morning Britain, then Good Morning Britain would go to him. Swain, broadcasting live to a national audience,

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while announcing his 10-point plan to end the plastics pollution crisis, said he would ban fracking. The process of fracking involves high pressure injections of liquid into underground rocks and layers to open fissures and extract oil or gas. The United Nations says each year, 19-23 million tons of plastic waste leaks into waterways, polluting rivers, seas, and lakes. [snip] The move would also drive the price of oil above $150 per barrel, while killing state budgets for energy producing states.
