From the moment that billionaire Oprah Winfrey and multi-millionaire ‘The Rock’ started asking the public for donations to fire victims in Maui, the public started pushing back.
People all over the country are hurting financially and many critics felt that if Oprah really wanted to help, she should have just done it herself.
People also didn’t trust her claim that she and The Rock were kicking it off with a ten million dollar donation.
She went on CBS Mornings on Friday and showed that she has no idea why people reacted in this way.

We, the people who turn on the TV sets and tune in to their show, movies and sporting events made them rich and famous. I still watch Carol Burnette, Dick Van Dyke, Andy Griffith, Mash and any old show and movie I can find. I don’t patronize sporting events or the cinemas. Life might be boring at times but I try hard to spend my money in the right place. As far as Oprah goes, she is a fake, her life is fake. Don’t give her the time of day. I still would like to know about the all girls school she has in Africa. I’ve heard some bad thing about it

And she has the nerve to mention white privilege every chance she gets.

Winfrey and Dwayne Johnson claim they donated $10 million to Maui fire victims. A good question is raised in the article —- how much of that money has been delivered to the clients?

Oprah - thanks for all the black obese privilege thrown my way and a little bit of white suburban women guilt for my success.

Laughed at loud over the Dolly comparison. Oprah will NEVER understand the difference between Dolly and herself. Start with a demonstration of honesty and humility - Oprah doesn't have that image anymore.

Marie Antoinette was White. Oprah is Black. That’s where the difference ends.

Ten million, Oprah? That’s like me digging a few spare quarters out of my pocket. How about you cough up a couple hundred million and open your vast estate to house some of the people made homeless by the fires?

Oprah has been a bloated human tick feeding off of and helping to destroy the social fabric of our country for decades. On top of everything else she is, natch, an arrogant racist who hates the country that made her rich and famous. Of course she never would have attained her wealth and fame without the drooling, fawning legions of liberal suburban wine drinking women who watched her soul sucking show every day and eagerly lapped up her particular brand of poisoned patented social pap. This festering lump has gotten away with her scam for years and finally, finally, people are waking up to what a truly debased greedy person she really is.

If she were really concerned about the people on Maui, she could have opened up emergency shelters on her own property as soon as it was feasible after she heard about the tragedy. That was when the need was most acute - hurt, bewildered people with no place to even sit down, much less protection from the elements or water or food. It didn't have to be perfect, just the absolute basics. (I betcha an event planner could have made it happen.)
That is what a super-rich person directly in charge of a pile of money, with private property near the disaster site could provide that the government could not - immediacy.

Zuckerbucks can give 400 million to disrupt our elections. He, Bezos, Opray, and Obama could easily contribute a billion to restore Maui.

I remember after 911 and the invasion of Afghanistan that Oprah said she would do anything to help.
GW Bush asked could she go to Afghanistan and talk with the women. I suppose about empowerment and self reliance, her owns struggles, etc.. She quickly said NO.

I could never see why this woman had so much public adoration when her show was running. Never is nothing about her that clicks with me.
