A left-wing nonprofit group whose activists were arrested for occupying House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's (R-CA) office to demand reauthorization of an HIV/AIDS program pockets millions of dollars each year in government grants, documents show. (snip) Housing Works notably disclosed hauling in $32.2 million in fiscal 2022, with $29.6 million of that coming in the form of government grants. If this was a right-leaning group who did the same stunt at Nancy Pelosi's office, I'm sure they would be in jail, and the IRS would be reviewing their tax returns with a fine-tooth comb. And, that's how McCarthy and all other Republicans need to frame all of these issues when they speak to any media outlet.

A recent study conducted at the University of Arkansas finds that men with heightened physical strength are perceived as more conservative by others. The study found that men who seem fit and healthy and have some bulk are considered right-wing, while thin or svelte and weak-looking men were not assumed to lean right. The results came from a series of four experiments that sought to establish a link between political orientation and a fit physique, according to the Daily Mail.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito paused an order restricting the Biden administration's communications with social media companies after lower courts ruled officials engaged in censorship practices. Alito's temporary hold on a federal judge's July 4 ruling comes after the Justice Department asked the high court to stay the decision, arguing it infringes on the First Amendment rights of government officials and impedes their duties. (snip) The lawsuit, Missouri v. Biden, was filed last year by then-Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, claiming the federal government colluded with social media companies such as Twitter and Meta to suppress the freedom of speech.

A U.S. District Court judge ruled on Thursday that a school district policy requiring teachers to keep preferred pronouns from parents undermines their constitutional rights and “conflicts with knowledgeable medical opinion,” according to the decision. Two teachers, Elizabeth Mirabelli and Lori Ann West, filed a lawsuit against the Escondido Union School District (EUSD) in April after the school board adopted a policy that says if a child identifies as a “new gender, or wants to be addressed by a new name or new pronouns during the school day,” then teachers must withhold it from parents unless given permission by the student, according to the ruling.

Former President Donald Trump dismissed concerns that President Joe Biden, 80, is too old to run for reelection in 2024, saying he is "not too old" but incompetent. At this point, the people in power behind the scenes at the White House have to be pulling their hair out over this question: How do you solve a problem like Joe Biden? Staff told them, "If the shelves look emptier right now it's because we have to remove all books [published] prior to 2008." Why? Wednesday's Cabinet meeting was most interesting. After a minute of introduction, President Biden turned the meeting over to his wife Jill, who continued to run it. This allows us a glimpse into the Democrat presidential strategy for 2024: run Jill Biden. In order for Jill to win the Democrat nomination for president, she needs to do several important things: 1. Box out Kamala Harris, Michelle Obama, and Gavin Newsom. 2. Maintain DNC support for Joe. 3. Keep Democrat contributors in line. 4. Do more and more of the president's job now.

By midnight Friday, that amounted to approximately 12,700 union workers, including ones at GM in Wentzville, Missouri; Stellantis in Toledo, Ohio; and Ford’s Wayne, Michigan plant.
