Ron DeSantis on Nixing Deep State: ‘We

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis used a surprising choice of words over the weekend when describing his plans to tackle the Deep State, promising to “start slitting throats” on day one. DeSantis campaigned in New Hampshire over the weekend, attending campaign events hosted by former Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA). “We’re going to have all of these Deep State people, you know. We are going to start slitting throats on day one,” DeSantis said during the barbecue event. DeSantis also promised that his administration will ensure the woke agenda “ends up in the dustbin of history.”

And I have more confidence in DeSantis getting rid of the deep state than Trump. I have not seen any indication that Trump will not be surrounding himself with many of the same people he had before. Obama, through executive order, overhauled all government agencies, forcing out career employees and installing "his people."

Trump spent the first three years of his term fighting false allegations of the Russia hoax. Yet he accomplished more in that time to fix the country than most presidents do in two terms. His first few years was ridding himself of all the inside the beltway clowns foisted on him by people in D.C. That won't happen again. He knows how the swamp works now. He knows where all the skeletons are buried, and he's now had four years to formulate a plan to rid D.C. of those causing the problems. DeSantis will have to start from scratch and feel his way around the D.C. swamp. Trump won't have that kind of problem.

For those who might (sadly) not be aficianados of H. L. Mencken, this phrase is likely lifted by Gov. DeSantis from a quote or a "Menckenism". "There comes a time in every man's life where he must spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and start slitting throats." H.L. Mencken

Tucker Carlson recently revealed that in an interview that never aired before he was fired from Fox, the chief of the Capitol police, Steven Sund, told him that on Jan. 6, 2021, at the Capitol, “that crowd was filled with federal agents.” Mounting evidence that Jan. 6 was anything but an “insurrection” didn’t stop the Biden regime from indicting Trump again, however, and it didn’t stop far-left talking head Dean Obeidallah from likening Trump to Osama bin Laden and hoping he dies in prison. Yes, that’s how far the left is ratcheting up the hysteria against their bête noire.

Archer called it an 'an abuse of soft power' in an interview with Tucker Carlson.

Smith’s proposed order seeks to prevent “improper dissemination or use of discovery materials, including to the public,” according to a four-page filing.

The Marine JAG veteran and former senior Homeland Security officer working on President Donald J. Trump’s legal team tells RedState that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of Trump revealed Aug. 1 is a surprisingly weak case against the former president. “I don’t think anybody thinks Donald Trump believes he lost the election,” says Christina Bobb, the author of “Stealing Your Vote: The Inside Story of the 2020 Election and What It Means for 2024.” Smith’s central legal thesis is that Trump knew that he lost the 2020 election and that his subsequent actions and statements were corrupt and criminal. Now that Donald Trump has been indicted for using lies about the 2020 presidential election to seek to overturn its results, it’s become a matter of grave national concern that big majorities of Republicans apparently don’t think he was lying at all. A new CNN survey shows that 69 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents do not believe “Joe Biden legitimately won enough votes to win the presidency” in 2020. It’s worth asking what if anything might have convinced them to believe Biden’s win was legitimate, if only to establish what could happen differently in 2024 to avoid another contested Democratic win — if not an attack on the Capitol.
