WASHINGTON − President Joe Biden plans to announce "new actions to protect student loan borrowers," the White House said Friday, after the Supreme Court overturned his signature program to eliminate up to $20,000 in student loan debt for millions of Americans.
The court's 6-3 decision dashed the hopes of 26 million people who applied for student loan cancellation since Biden took the action last August, putting pressure on the Biden to find other ways for debt relief. "While we strongly disagree with the court, we prepared for this scenario. The president will have more to say today," a White House official who spoke on the condition of anonymity said.

Bla, Bla, Bla! Biden knew all along he didn't have the power to eliminate those Loans, he was just making himself Mr. Big! Didn't work. Now all those Losers who wanted the rest of us to pay off their Loans can get off their dead Ass and start paying the loan they signed up for! Too bad if a Four Year College Degree didn't actually get you a better job than working at Starbucks! Maybe you should have changed your Major! Or maybe you should agree to work a 40 hour week and not demand you be allowed to work at home in your jammies! We have no sympathy for you! Grow up!

Having been in the US Senate for decades Biden had to know that his so-called student loan forgiveness plan was unconstitutional from the get-go. Therefore if you have been paying attention, it is evident that instead, the Biden plan was actually a Biden and Democrat vote buying plan thrown out there before the mid-term election.

I expect Biden to extend the pause on student loan repayments. Until Biden and the democrats are ousted, student loan deadbeats won’t have to make another payment. Perpetual forbearance is de facto forgiveness.

Sure. Have a Democrat colleague in the house minority submit a bill outlining what you want. Get it passed (probably not) in the house, send it to the Senate, get it passed there too (also probably not) and then sign the bill as approved by the US Congress in accordance with Article 1 and 2 of the US Constitution. Easy Peasy.

26 million deadbeats who want to renege on an honest debt.
I paid to get them through high school now they want me to pay to put them through college .
I wouldn't mind so bad if they took courses that would let them work in jobs that would pay them enough to pay back their debt.

Borrowers (by definition) don't need protection. It's not their money at stake. They "borrowed" it. The lenders need protection from having their money stolen.

I'll tell you exactly what he's going to say & do.
China Joe will just tell everyone to stop making payments on their student loans ... and like he tells Hunter ... what are they going to do about and what can they do stop us?
Just don't make any more student loan payments and let the Supreme Court try to collect them.

I was watching Outnumbered on Fox. It was said on that show that Kamala Harris promoted the loan forgiveness idea. I never heard that before.
I am so glad this was the decision. I hope this stops the overreach by the Biden Administration. He is trying to do an end-run around Congress.

Why does Diaper Joe want to punish the vast majority of Americans by forcing them to pay for a very small number of Americans financial obligations? I and my spouse put four kids through college. It isn't easy or cheap. They all earned scholarships thank goodness or it might not have been possible. Now why are me, my spouse and our 4 gainfully employed kids being punished?

He must have heard that the program was against the Constitution. Thought I overheard him declare, "There's no reason that a constitutional should get in the way of this. I get my constitutionals at the Camp David spa center, and they always help me; I'm sure they can bring relief to all Americans stressed out by student loan debts."

I was curious about the extent Joe's knowledge, and I came onto this:
"In 1968, Biden earned a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, ranked 76th in his class of 85, after failing a course due to an acknowledged "mistake" when he plagiarized a law review article for a paper he wrote in his first year at law school. He was admitted to the Delaware bar in 1969."

Okay. In your Biden-to-English translation book, please note that when he mutters about protecting student loan borrowers, he means merely to hand out more cash like he did during Covid-19. Democrats NEED the underclass of welfare recipients to keep the big money feeding into the $$ laundering outfit.

#6 is correct. They will try extending the loan payment pause again and again. It won't look good because the original excuse was the Wuhan Flu "pandemic" which is well and truly over in spite of what the lying Dems might claim.
I put four through college with one or two small home equity loans. We ate cheap, drove old cars and didn't take a vacation for 8 years. When the last one graduated, we felt like had won the lottery and gotten rich.
OH, and I also paid back that money I borrowed. Those students should do the same

The "loan forgiveness gambit" fulfilled its intended purpose in bringing hordes of grifters to the polls in 2022,
In fact, it worked so well that Joe is going to try it again in 2024.
