On Sunday, the White House grounds were evacuated after an initially unidentified item was found. A United States Secret Service spokesperson confirmed the event, saying: U.S. Secret Service Uniform Division Officers located an unknown item on the White House complex. As a precaution, the White House grounds were evacuated, and the DC Fire Departments Hazmat team responded. A hazmat team responded to the area of 18th St and Pennsylvania Ave, and the Secret Service blocked roadways around the White House. All roads have re-opened since, according to the spokesperson. D.C. Emergency Medical officials later deemed the item to be “non-hazardous.”

It's true that cocaine spray is used prior to some forms of intubation and in removing foreign objects from the nasal cavity, and has been used at least since the 70s, but that comes in a metal aerosol can, not a bag full of white powder. As an EMS paramedic working my way through college, I remember in the late '70s when the "crash carts" in hospital ERs, stocked with all manner of emergency cardiac drugs and equipment, started having to be sealed to prevent the liquid from walking off.

On Thursday, DeSantis’s first quarter fundraising numbers were released, showing that he has raised a whopping $20 million since launching his campaign on May 24. Nearly half of that came in the first 24 hours. The DeSantis campaign shared its fundraising data with Fox News, touting the fact that this haul was the “largest first-quarter filing from any non-incumbent Republican candidate in more than a decade,” and that it even “bests the $18.3 million former president and quasi-incumbent Donald Trump’s campaign raised

Let’s be honest. If your 80-year-old father, grandfather, brother, or husband was in the same physical and mental condition as Joe Biden, would you want your loved one to face the rigors associated with the job of president of the United States — much less remain in office until age 86? If Biden wins the 2024 Democrat nomination and goes on to win the election, he’ll be 82 on Inauguration Day 2025 and 86 years old if he finishes a second term. That is inconceivable, particularly given Biden’s steady decline, just since the 2020 primary season. His deterioration grows more evident, seemingly by the week, and attempting four more years

Maine Governor Janet Mills, a Democrat, introduced the bill in January alongside legislative leadership, both also Democrats: House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross and Senate President Troy Jackson.
