Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin refused to completely rule out jumping into the 2024 Republican Party presidential primary when pressed about the matter over the weekend.
The news comes after top Republican governors who will be influential in helping shape who wins the early states — like Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu — have said that they do not believe that the race needs more candidates at this point since the process is already well underway.

New York's police officers will face overtime cuts - despite increased crime - as the city continues to struggle with the financial toll of the migrant crisis that has overwhelmed the Big Apple.
Upwards of 110,000 migrants are littered across the New York area, with most arriving in the last 18 months from the southern border. New York City Mayor Eric Adams has warned the issue could cost taxpayers $12million and destroy the city.
Jacques Jiha, the city's budget director, has told not just the police department, but fire, sanitation and corrections to drastically reduce overtime.

A somewhat unexpected twist has emerged in the JFK assassination saga, which blows a hole in a critical government narrative surrounding his death.
On Saturday, 88-year-old Paul Landis gave an exclusive interview with The New York Times where he shared he shared his revelations regarding what happened November 22, 1963, in Dallas — the day JFK was allegedly assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Landis that year was a Secret Service agent assigned to First Lady Jackie Kennedy’s protective detail, as the Daily Mail notes.
Landis’s revelations regarding what happened 60 years ago lay waste to one critical claim by the Warren Commission and raises questions regarding whether there was a second shooter

Like millions of Americans, I was at work on 9/11. I was 18 years old, employed at a water facility on Lake Michigan in Chicago.
My coworkers and I gathered around a small television and watched the unthinkable unfold in real time. It was a moment when a country lost its collective innocence. A moment in which we realized things would never be the same. A moment when the promise of eternal sunrise in America looked dim. And now our group, once solely linked by vocation, had something else in common: fear.
Yet despite the national emergency, there was work to be done.

Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that President Joe Biden should release a “full neurological evaluation” of his cognitive ability.
Cassidy said, “Shouldn’t there be transparency? Shouldn’t President Biden release a full neurological evaluation to his cognitive ability and whomever else? You picked a person.”
Anchor Chuck Todd said, “It’s one thing if it’s something voters should demand, but is it something that should be in the Constitution?”
Cassidy said, “I don’t know if it should be the Constitution, but it certainly should be the House rule.”

Baby boomers and the 'silent generation' are blaming supermarket self-checkouts for increasing loneliness and wiping out one of their last remaining social interactions.
When 83-year-old Marliss Myers lost her husband, it was her local Albertsons cashier who provided solace.
Workers like Sharon Hechler are determined to maintain that special bond with the elderly, even as almost half of checkout lanes in the US are now automated.
'We all need that human, personal touch,' Hechler told the Los Angeles Times.

Far-left MSNBC host Chuck Todd celebrated his last day as the host of “Meet the Press” this Sunday morning by touting his so-called “journalism.”
“Good Sunday morning. As you may have heard, after nine years and more than 430 broadcasts, today is my final Sunday in the moderator chair. To say that this has been the honor and privilege of my lifetime is an understatement,” his final statement began.
“This is simply the pinnacle of political journalism — something my younger self never imagined,” he added.
To be clear, what Todd does is not journalism — it’s left-wing advocacy and commentary.

Joe Biden traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam to meet with General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
After spending a couple of days in New Dehli, India, Biden arrived in Vietnam. The grueling schedule is just too much for old Joe.
He needs a nap and he let everyone know.
Biden held a press conference after he delivered remarks and it was a total disaster. He opened up the presser by making a joke about a Vietnam War movie.
