Memorial to McCain? Well, why not, he got in bed with the enemy. All the more reason for Joey to celebrate him.

Prime Minister Chính: "So Joe, I hear you were a draft dodger. Want to see the prison where we kept men more courageous than you?"

Did anyone else catch how Biden opened the presser? He mumbled something about his staff reminding him about the "song" good morning Viet Nam and then said so good evening Viet Nam. He looked and sounded even more senile than normal.

Biden's Vietnam shame was at the banquet table overshadowed by a giant bust of Ho Chi Minh in a bed of greenery, lording over the assembly and smirking. McCain was spinning like a top.

Hanoi has a memorial to McCain? Can this world get any more bizarre? How can people be so blind?

The marker commemorates the actions of those who shot down McCain.
I guess that's sort of a memorial...

There were thousands of US military pilots flying over and bombing North Vietnam during the Vietnam War era that lasted well over a decade. Many of them were shot down and were captured or killed. John McCain was shot down and was captured then spent years in a POW Camp before being returned to the USA. Of all those US military pilots who flew over and dropped bombs on North Vietnam, the North Vietnamese only put up one memorial relating to just one U.S. airman, John McCain. Obviously the reason for that is because after that war McCain was a top level US RINO DC politician who the Vietnamese knew could influence future U.S. Government economic and financial decisions and policies to the the favor of Vietnam.
Obviously the Vietnamese Government, in erecting the McCain Memorial was looking out for the interests of Vietnam and there is nothing wrong with that. Since then all sorts of US Corporations, including companies like LL Bean, have been doing business in Vietnam. Now we see the 101% political partisan leftist Democrat Biden over there at the McCain Memorial claiming that the RINO McCain was his longtime friend. Who knows if that Biden claim is true or is just another Biden made up story?
The Vietnam War was another liberal Democrat started war where a lot of money was made by the the US military industrial complex, with no doubt big kickbacks being garnered by DC politicians, resulting in over 58,000 US military personnel being killed in action and with hundreds of thousands more being wounded. I happened to spend the entire year 1968 on the ground in South Vietnam when well over 15,000 US military personnel were killed alone. As soon as the liberal Democrat President (Johnson) left office and was replaced by a Republican President (Nixon) the DC liberal Democrats who supported the Vietnam War before that, essentially started calling for a “bug out” and an end to the military draft, with all sorts of exemptions favoring the monied upper classes, that supplied a good portion of the enlisted U.S. military personnel who served and were killed and wounded on the ground in Vietnam. A drawdown of US forces in Vietnam then occurred with a complete “bug out” completed in 1975 with the enemy North Vietnamese claiming victory. During 1975 I was in Guam and got to watch as hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese “refugees” arrived destined for onward passage to the USA. My big question is, why were we at war in Vietnam in the first place?
Since then we have been involved in several Middle East wars either covertly or overtly, the latest being in Afghanistan, where another leftist or liberal Democrat President (Biden) ordered another “bug out” that has again resulted in yet untold numbers of Afghan “refugees” being allowed to come into the USA, with the enemy again victorious. Now we have Ukraine, with the current US military-industrial complex again making a lot of money, and it is fair to ask will that US proxy war end with some sort of cease fire and untold numbers of Ukrainian “refugees” coming to the USA.

I’d rather do 5 years in the Hanoi Hilton than 8 years in Biden/Harris’ America.

Its entirely appropriate to have a memorial to McCain. After all, he killed more Americans aboard the Forestall than most VC saw during the entire war.
