The Justice Department’s indictment of former President Donald Trump is still all the rage on the airwaves and interwebs. Members of the chattering class have been chiming in, giving their two cents on the matter. Theodore "Ted" Kaczynski, the man known as the "Unabomber," has died in federal prison at age 81.
He was found unresponsive in his North Carolina prison cell Saturday morning and was pronounced dead at about 8 a.m. Saturday, Kristie Breshears, a spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons confirmed to USA TODAY. A cause of death was not immediately known. He was serving a life sentence after sending by mail a series of homemade bombs around the country. He pleaded guilty to setting 16 explosions that killed three people and injured 23 others.

Rather than write 10,000 highly specific and legally granular words to deconstruct the Trump indictment, I will share the opinion of others with supporting analysis and add some substance to the issues. (snip)
First, it is important to always remember why this indictment is taking place. The DOJ, specifically Lisa Monaco, are continuing the offensive against Trump in large part to cover for the actions of the Obama administration in the originating targeting of their political opposition. Originating Spygate operations (’15-’16), Russiagate (’16-’17), Mueller (’17-’19), Impeachment #1 (’19-’20), Durham (’19-’23) and Jack Smith ’22-present, are all part of one long continuum of weaponized DOJ and FBI operations.

The media and other Democrats repeatedly call Republicans fascists and dictators to intentionally mislead the public. Fascists are essentially authoritarians. Trump and other Republicans basically want to transfer power and money to the people, which is the opposite of what an authoritarian would do. Democrats are seeking to transfer as much power and money to the government, which is what fascists or dictators would do.

Stephanopoulos clearly had no clue that’s what Trusty would invoke when he questioned whether he and Trump “believe...no person is above the law.”
New York Times columnist and the supposedly conservative half of PBS NewsHour’s weekly Friday Brooks and Capehart panel was dismayed that even “supposedly mature and moderate” Republicans were decrying President Trump’s latest indictment as “selective prosecution.” Washington Post columnist and pinch hitter Ruth Marcus went even further, labelling it “sickening.”

Throughout most of my life my attitude toward politics has been this: Don’t get involved. People who get wrapped up in politics gain nothing from it and often ruin their own lives.
