Mayhem has broken out in the City of Brotherly Love following the Philadelphia Eagles' narrow Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Signs of unrest surfaced almost immediately after the team's 38-35 defeat Sunday night - with disgruntled fans already seen swarming City Hall and clashing with police that had been stationed throughout the city in case of such an outcome. Police scanner audio since 10:30pm suggests that cops have already made multiple arrests, as citizens have been seen scaling lampposts, chant 'f*** the Chiefs', and hurling glass bottles

It was a great game. Hardly any penalties, decent officiating. I'm a Mahomes, Andy Reid and Kelsey fan, so I'm happy with the outcome. I do like some of the Philly players too, some of them are immensely talented. No one was picking KC to win, so that is icing on the cake. The bandwagon was full of disappointed people.

Human tribalism is so strange. It is amazing that so many dull-witted people can have so much emotional investment in the win or lose of a for-profit entertainment/advertising company that claims to represent their city/state, when very few of their hired athletes are even from that location.

These young Philly kids have no clue that losing is a Philadelphia tradition that goes back over a hundred years. It's what Philly teams do. It's why nobody comes to a Philly team to win a championship which Byrce Harper will eventually realize. Trea Turner really doesn't care because he already has a World Series ring. However, they both got the kind of money they were looking for, so they have that.

For me this is yet another indication of how far Philly has fallen. I was in the middle of final evaluations week in college in 1974 when the Flyers won the Stanley Cup for the first time. My college was located on Broad Street - the main thoroughfare in the city at that time. People poured into the street by the hundreds of thousands and it was a joyful and completely peaceful celebration. But that was when Philly was reasonable safe and the city was being revitalized in preparation for the Bicenntennial.

This is a great pro-life message. A baby girl was born under the rubble of her family’s home in Syria after the 7.8 magnitude earthquakes devastated the area. Aya, which is Arabic for “a sign from God,” was found by rescue workers after the earthquake hit Turkey and Syria last week. She was still attached to her mother’s umbilical cord and was rushed to the nearby hospital, where she's been ever since. Aya’s mother died after giving birth, along with Aya's father and four siblings. Thankfully, AP News reports she’s in good health.

The belief is “DeSantis is Trump, without the baggage.” This group supported President Trump’s policies and felt he did a tremendous job as president, but now feel the baggage that came with Trump would not be present with Ron DeSantis. Many have taken this a step further and believe this baggage would give DeSantis (or others) a better chance of winning in a general election against the Democrat nominee than President Trump.
