Joe Biden Falsely Claims Food Prices Are
‘Continuing to Come Down’

President Joe Biden falsely claimed food prices are coming down after Tuesday’s inflation report revealed prices at the grocery store actually increased in January. Delivering a Tuesday afternoon keynote address at the National Association of Counties, Biden falsely claimed inflation, including food prices, is coming down. “Today’s report on inflation shows the good is that inflation in America is continuing to come down,” Biden claimed. “Food prices at the grocery store are coming down.” But according to the consumer price index report released Tuesday morning, the price of food at home jumped 0.5 percent compared with December.

Any American who buys their own food knows the lie about food prices coming down. Joe doesn't do the shopping at the White House and evidently his speech writers don't either.

I met friends for breakfast yesterday, and the bill was $60 (with tip) for three people. This wasn't some upscale yuppie establishment selling alcohol, it was a blue-collar joint that offered juice, coffee and tea for beverages. We each had an egg dish. The cheapest dish on the menu was almost $10. I shudder to think what lunch would cost.

Rail company Norfolk Southern ran scared of a town hall meeting in East Palestine tonight because officials 'were afraid for their safety' following the chemical train derailment disaster. Representatives were due to attend to help explain what happened and how they could repair the devastation - and soothe fears of potential long term health problems including cancer. But the town's mayor Trent Conaway revealed just before the packed meeting at the local high school: 'The people want answers. I want answers. 'Norfolk Southern didn't show up.' Asked why, he said: 'Because they are scared for their safety.'

Joe Biden raised eyebrows on Wednesday when he referred to the first black governor of Maryland as 'boy'. Biden, 80, was in the town of Lanham to speak to members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He referenced the newly-elected 44-year-old governor Wes Moore, a former college football star, and used a word which is seen as a derogative term for black men. 'You got a h*** of a new governor in Wes Moore, I tell ya,' Biden told the union workers. 'He's the real deal, and the boy looked like he could still play. He's got some guns on him.'

According to U.S. officials, after takeoff, the spy balloon drifted east in the direction of Guam and Hawaii and then went north to Alaska and entered U.S. airspace on Jan. 28. Given the path, it's possible that the balloon was blown off course by weather, but U.S. officials said that once it came south over the continental United States, it was being controlled by China.
