A 17-year-old high school senior created a system that tracks the annual flight emissions of some the wealthiest people in the world - laying bare the substantial carbon footprint of stars ranging from Kim Kardashian to Rupert Murdoch.
Math-loving Seattle resident Akash Shendure began the exhaustive effort just a few months ago, and has since amassed a list of more than 150 ultrarich people and their families, ranked by the estimated emissions they generate by flying privately.
Recognizable names topping the list include media magnate Rupert Murdoch and former Secretary of Education Betsy Devos,

Shut up peasant. The rules are for thee, but not for me. You'll ride the bus, have no car, live in government housing, line up for food, when the store has any and like it. Sounds like East Germany doesn't it?

Don't be mad at them, these are special people, don't believe me? Just ask them. Now, get back to eating your crickets and be happy.

Purchasing “indulgences” a la Gates is morally wrong and probably no more than an accounting exercise with no effect on total carbon emissions

FTA: 'However, in a stroke of luck, a company that sold this type of data - which was not named in the Times piece - inexplicably gifted the youngster the information when he reached out and asked.' I bet that won't happen again!

I’m gonna give Pitbull a pass. He’s seen the light on the dangers of the left and isn’t afraid to call them out. I’d be surprised if he’s a climate alarmist.

Making a point of hypocrisy, fair enough , good on this young man. But the point ought to be there is no such thing as carbon pollution to the extent of warming the climate. The world temps have been cooling for the last 20 years.

Articles like this one does two things. One, it rolls off the backs of the hypocritical elites because they believe they are entitled and are exempt from any rules the rest of us live by. Two, it makes the rest of us understand that these arrogant fools are prepared to impose their will on us in this or any regard they deem necessary.
Our best response is ridicule along with withdrawing any support financially and/or politically from them. Always remember, there are more of us than there are of them. They need us to fight their wars, purchase their widgets, and obey. That’s asking too much. Let them, for once, in their privileged little lives, do the dirty work. I am sick of these sanctimonious fascists who demand we do anything they will not do themselves.

Kim Kardashian has an actual need for a private jet. Business class or first class just won't accommodate that humongous butt. Stop shaming the butt-challenged. Besides, who would want to listen to her talk for two hours?

As a private pilot I have no objection to VIPs, celebrities or pseudo-celebrities like the Kardashians owning or using their private aircraft. What I don't like is their hypocrisy.

Exactly what I was thinking #7
The article and the kid start from a foundation that says CO2 is a poison. All of his research is resulting in "garbage in - garbage out" results.

Carbon dioxide is GOOD. It increases the growth of green plants.
NEVER let this claim that "carbon is bad" go unchallenged. Always refute the root premise of their entire bogus scam.
