Democrats Sour on Pete Buttigieg over
Airlines Fiasco

Original Article

Left-leaning Democrats have soured on Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg in response to the mass flight cancelations during the holiday season despite his promise to fix the problem back in September of this year. In a tweet on Thursday, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), one of the few Democrats who criticized Twitter’s decision to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story, publicly scolded Buttigieg for not sticking to his pledge to hold airlines accountable. “Nearly six months ago ⁦@BernieSanders⁩ & I called for Buttigieg to implement fines & penalties on airlines for cancelling flights. Why were these recommendations not followed?”

From Wikipedia re South Bend, as of the 2020 census, the city had a total of 103,453 residents and is the fourth-largest city in Indiana. Who would have dreamed that that would be sufficient experience for a major cabinet position in the federal government? Buttigeig doesn’t go on vacation. He is hiding, scared out of his wits...

I agree that Pete is in way over his head, but government fines weren’t going to resolve the issue. Apparently Southwest is way behind in updating their technology and the bad weather exposed that many times over. How were fines going to improve their technology in a few months and prevent the storms?

I have been asked to speculate about the cardiac arrest suffered by Damar Hamlin. First off, I truly believe that giving his physicians and trainers space to work professionally is critical: we need to allow them to do the tests, diagnostics and whatever procedures need to be performed outside of the glare of corporate media AND internet armchair physicians. We won’t get the details we would like at the moment we would like, (snip)Corporate media and the news cycle are monsters, and they prey on these types of stories and controversies, which generate clicks, views, likes and revenue. “If it bleeds, it leads”. The best I can say about 2022 is that it was not a leap year. After 9 months of this year, Queen Elizabeth had all she could take. She was out of here. She had been through the London Blitz, the dismantling of the British Empire and the death of her husband of of 69 years. She always kept calm and kept rolling. But 2022 was just too much for her. The year began with a poll on 2021 by Rasmussen. It found only 2% rated 2021 as one of the best years ever; 48% said it was a poor year. 2021 is now considered the good old days compared to 2022.

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy failed to obtain the necessary 218 votes to become the next House speaker during the first vote on Tuesday. Reps. McCarthy (R-Calif.), Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), and Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) split most of the votes, but no candidate received more than half of the vote (218) which is required to win the election. It has been nearly a century since the majority party failed to elect a speaker on the first vote, explains Fox News.
