San Francisco is bracing for another catastrophic storm that will be the 'most impactful' yet after it was deluged with massive flooding and mudslides last week.
As the Pineapple Express - a strong atmospheric storm building in the Pacific Northwest - prepares to slam into California, the state is still reeling from the storm that hit on New Year's Eve.
'This will likely be one of the most impactful systems on a widespread scale that this meteorologist has seen in a long while,' the National Weather Service’s Bay Area office said. 'This is truly a brutal system that we are looking at and needs to be taken seriously.

Well at least the streets will get cleaned.
I get the hype and dangerous storms are the norm here in the Midwest. I wish no ill on anyone, but if you can't stay off the cliffs and out of the rain, should you even be there?

San Francisco has always in the past suffered violent ocean storms as long as the city has been there. They just never had about half the city homeless and living in tents, with the liberal media calling out those big storms as being “bomb cyclones”or whatever in the old days.

No doubt they will all be able to escape to safety in their electric cars, and defend their families and property with their Kalifornia compliant sling shots.
But the news isn't all bad. Just look at all the cleanup volunteers they will have with the millions who just want a better life.

Now, every storm is the storm of the century, a once in a lifetime event. However, these storm of the century, once in a lifetime events happen all the time and... nothing happens except for the hype. One can always hope that the filth, crime, and homeless will be washed into the bay then into the Pacific. Alas, the storms never live up to their hype.

They will need a few of these pineapple express systems to fil the reservoirs to keep the farmers in business, the forests green and the people hydrated. Let it rain and let it snow.

I just looked on the Storm Radar app and this thing is massive. It stretches past the tip of Baja to the south and runs up to the Canadian border. The center of the thing is off of the coast of northern/central California and it is going to be seriously tremendous. Batten down the hatches and be prepared for all those in its path because it will be brutal.

It is a very deep low, about 968 millibars, 28.59 inches on the barometer. Similar to a CAT III hurricane; Andrew was around 925 MB IIRC. Indeed a strong storm, but so what? They happen.
I feel sorry for my many friends who fly for United and (yes) Southwest in that part of the world. I'm sure SFO and other airports along the West Coast will face major schedule trauma.

I just looked up the forecast, the winds are only going to be averaging 25mph that is blowing but not bad at all. The rain total for the week is estimated to be about 8 inches, that is a lot of water, but it will clean the streets and help with their drought.

I don't believe in man made global climate change but I do believe in man made local weather disasters. I use Houston as an example. Anytime it floods the climate change crazies use it for their propaganda; But, the real cause is a lack of anywhere for water to runoff due to man continuing to pave and overbuild an area built at sea level.
Didn't the bidet recently say Kalifornica is having the worst drought in 1200 years? How long ago was it that they had to build an emergency spillway at the Oroville dam? Now we get "bomb cyclones". Be very afraid and controlled and wait for the globalist pols to save you. Good luck.

There are plenty of examples in the Bible… books of Samuel for example, where God turns his back on places and removes his protection. I firmly believe this has happened to California. Earthquakes, drought, then floods… and in my opinion, more coming, it’s sad, and undeserved for good people living there, but understandable given the horrific evil decisions and mandates made by the State And Local Governments there.

This will also add many feet of snow in the mountains. However, come spring. The weather channels will concentrate on drought conditions and low reservoirs in California and the wildfires come summer.

Well, we had nearly 5" of rain about a week ago, then near 3" a couple days ago and another 3" yesterday and last night. This morning it's sunny and bright and we're looking at 4 or 5 days of 70° weather. It was freezing cold last week for about 3 days. Typical South Louisiana winter weather, and I don't recall any of the local weather being given names. The cold is just 'gumbo' weather. And no one I know refers to it as climate change. Now, thanks to the media, every weather system has a name and is an earth shattering 'bomb'!

I'm with #31. Global climate warming change is a big scam. A lot of people say the media hypes these events to get higher ratings, increase their profits, etc.,... Well, they do. However the larger picture indicates the media is trying to scare people and get them to fall in line with the commiecrat party's (and many rinos) massive climate change garbage schemes which mostly want to control the populace, if not kill them off.
The only thing that'll cure the brainwashing over climate change is when people do not have power, food and water. Maybe when we reach that point many of the climate change cultists will take a long walk on a short pier and leave the rest of us alone.

Tabloid hype not as credible as weather underground (wunderground.com), which shows this storm taking a whole week to drop as much rain in SF as fell here only last Saturday. A little extra care while driving will probably be enough for most of SF.
