Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin may have suffered a "remarkably rare" condition when he collapsed on the field during Monday night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, CBS News medical contributor Dr. David Agus told "CBS Mornings." The Bills said Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest following a hit in the game. Video shows that after the hit, he stood up, took a few steps and fell to the ground. Walter Cunningham, the last surviving astronaut from the first successful crewed space mission in NASA's Apollo program, died Tuesday in Houston. He was 90.
NASA confirmed Cunningham's death on Twitter.
"Today we mourn the passing of Walt Cunningham: U.S. Marine, patriot, and Apollo astronaut. Cunningham spent 11 days in low-Earth orbit during Apollo 7, the first crewed Apollo flight, and was instrumental to our Moon landing's program success," the space agency wrote. Cunningham was one of three astronauts aboard the 1968 Apollo 7 mission, an 11-day spaceflight that beamed live television broadcasts as they orbited Earth, paving the way for the moon landing less than a year later.
The House voted Wednesday night to adjourn and reconvene on Thursday after GOP leader Kevin McCarthy failed in a sixth attempt for the speakership earlier in the day.

President Biden confirmed Wednesday that he plans to visit the southern border as part of a trip to Mexico City next week.

House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy on Wednesday failed to win the House speakership in a fourth vote.
The House resumed voting on Wednesday afternoon after adjourning the night before at the conclusion of three failed attempts at electing a speaker.
Representative Chip Roy (R., Texas) nominated Representative Byron Donalds (R., Fla.) during the fourth vote, pulling 20 much needed votes away from McCarthy. Representative Victoria Spartz (R., Ind.) voted “present,” moving away from her support of McCarthy in the previous ballots.

The US House voted for Speaker for the 6th time Wednesday afternoon.
GOP Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) suffered another humiliating loss for the sixth time. Kevin McCarthy has now lost votes since Tuesday and since President Trump’s endorsement. On Wednesday, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX 2nd District) joined Guy Benshow Show. During the interview, Crenshaw referred to the 20 Republicans challenging the establishment as “terrorists.”
“We cannot let the terrorists win,” Crenshaw said.
Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz decided to play hardball Tuesday evening, writing to the Architect of the Capitol that Kevin McCarthy should not be allowed to occupy the physical office of the Speaker of the House considering that he just lost three consecutive votes for the position: (Tweet) “The Speaker of the House Office in the Capitol is currently being occupied by Kevin McCarthy,” Gaetz wrote. “Kevin McCarthy is not the Speaker of the House. Sandra Pippa woke in a panic in the middle of the night six years ago — anxious her son still wasn’t home from celebrating his 29th birthday.
