MARYLAND — Gov.-elect Wes Moore said he wants the new FBI headquarters to be in Maryland and has been lobbying President Joe Biden’s administration to keep it from going to neighboring Virginia. In an interview with DC News Now, Moore said this is a serious priority even before he takes office in January as a decision can come down before the end of the year. “I want the FBI in Maryland,” Moore said. “And I’ve been very transparent in my time as the next governor of the state of Maryland, I want that in Maryland.” And given his relationship with

Apparently Biden will be rewarding the FBI with a shiny, new HQ for their obedience to his regime. In all likelihood they would greatly prefer living on the Virginia side.

IMO, the federal bureaucracy should be spread across the country to reduce the concentration of power in the DC area and to better reflect the makeup of the country in government.

He just wants the FBI graft to be spent in his state. I think damn near all of the fed departments should be either 'de-funded' or moved out of DC. These bureaucrats should be re-acquainted with those of us who actually pay their salaries.

The FBI HQ should be bulldozed and the agency permanently closed, not "reformed". An unaccountable politicized federal "law enforcement" agency is a guaranteed disaster for the country. Just end it. It was a mistake in the 1930s to create it.

And I fully agree. The FBIs problem is due to their HQTRS being located on Pennsylvania Ave just down the street from the DOJ so it’s very easy for them to get together and conspire over lunch or drinks. Fairfax County is largely White Upper Middle class liberal with way too many swamp creatures and a housing shortage. Move the FBI to predominantly Black PG County Md in the name of equity and just watch how the culture of the FBI changes when they have to live and send their kids to school in a under developed area.

The late Senator Byrd was able to get the fingerprint division of the FBI moved to West Virginia. The cost was enormous, including one billion dollars for an interchange near the new site, that had to be carved out of a mountain It would be logical to move FBI headquartrers there, what with modern communications.\ There is also a fortress of doom, in West Virginia, to accommodate congressional members and top goverment officials in case of atomic attack. If Senator Byrd had lived long enough,, the entire federal government might have been relocated in West Virginia, with every building named after him.
