As DeSantis sails towards reelection,
Florida newspapers endorse Crist in hopes
of ousting 'bully' governor

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is perhaps in the most comfortable position among incumbent governors facing reelection on Tuesday. He has nearly a 12-point advantage over his Democratic rival Charlie Crist and not only is he fairly popular among Florida residents, he is a rising star in the GOP who has appeared all over the country in recent weeks boosting other gubernatorial candidates. However, it appears his biggest critics this election cycle have been the local press. While DeSantis is sailing towards reelection, the most prominent newspapers in the Sunshine State have all endorsed Crist, signaling the media is out

Comments:

DeSantis is wildly popular except for the media. He won't implement their precious trans agenda and didn't force children to wear smothering, unsanitary masks for 2 years. Wah Wah Wah.

They snub DeSantis to endorse Crist, a political weasel if there ever was one. Crist shouldn’t be trusted by anyone.

That's the current DNC talking point: Republicans are bullies - DeSantis is a bully, Oz bullied Fettervegetable during their debate, blah blah blah.. And yet it's just more projection from those who wrote the book on how to be big bullies. How trite. When they've devolved into name calling it's a sure sign that they're losing and have no idea how to save themselves.

Newspapers? What’s that? Bird cage liners whose opinion is like old Twitter, they slam DeSantis and it’s two weeks or more before you can respond in a letter to the editor if at all. A One Way liberal communication system.

Haven't seen any ads in a couple weeks calling DeSantis a bully. Wondering if they are planning on trotting out a new ad one or two days before the election. Surprise! Florida newspapers appear to be worthless. They all lean left. Worthless. There is another election where the local rag endorsed a Democrat and called him a 'centrist'. Liars.

"the media is out of step with Florida voters." The enemedia is out of step with America and have been bullying us with their one sided views and lies for decades. The media babbles about "unity" as if they haven't viciously attacked Conservatives continually. Their sense of "unity" is "Do it OUR way!". DeSantis is about to wipe the floor with Christ. He is 10 points ahead of Christ. How is following the will of the people of Florida being "bullied'? Even if the win were 1 point, the elected official following their own ideas about policy is what elections are all about. It is the dems and their media that won in 2020 and then ran the country off the road enacting policies the electorate CLEARLY does not support. The dems are about to get corrected over their bullying ways and as usual are charging their opponents with what they themselves are doing. All this whining from the Florida papers just proves the media is NOT in sync with the electorate, They are shills for the dems and they are desperate.
