Despite the human tragedy that doctors and nurses witness on a daily basis in the emergency room, there’s often a reluctance to ever show any emotion. No tears, no panic, no breakdowns – at least not in front of others. “Vulnerability in healthcare is a pretty precious commodity,” said Dr. Mitch Radin, a Clinical Psychologist at Hennepin Healthcare Medical Center (HCMC) in downtown Minneapolis. Radin is now trying to change those unwritten rules inside one of the busiest emergency rooms in the state. “There’s a kind of belief that if people get too close to their emotions, or let anything

This needs to be taken down as misinformation. Just ask the Hildabeast. There is no crime problem. Whomever mentions crime as an issue is a MEGA MAGA liar and a roach. s/o I will pray for the care takers and the family and friends of those wounded and unfortunately murdered. Vote America because your life does depend on it.

I was a paramedic for twelve years in an "inner city" area and then became an emergency room nurse for another 27 years. While it has made for an excellent background for my novels, it sure sucked wading in blood every night, listening to the screaming, cursing, threatening, and sobbing night after night. I saw lots of rapin', robbin' stabbin', shootin', beatin', and killin'. It never got easier and it only got worse by the day. I'm retired now and I do my political stuff and write stories... and then go to bed. LOL

Democrat defund police and catch and release policy has unintended consequences. The hospital personnel should find a military hospital friend who has witnessed battlefield wounds of much greater horror. Maybe they can talk snd impart some ways to reduce their obvious PTSD conditions.

So much for Minnesota Nice. And I agree with #5, the people of the blue cities that are living in hell on earth voted for exactly what they are getting, so I have absolutely no sympathy. To the people that live there and aren't blue voters there are things called moving trucks.

How about some relevant statistics on the perpetrators and victims of "gun crime." (As if the guns suddenly became animated and spontaneously began shooting people at random.) I would like to know what percentage of the guns are legally owned vs. stolen or in the possession of prohibited holders. I would also like a breakdown on the racial characteristics of the shooters and victims. This would be helpful in formulating an appropriate governmental response, don't you think?

Top notch ER-Trauma Room docs and RN’s are simply the best. Everything horrible, gross, crazy, broken and bloody gets dumped in or walks into the city Emergency Room. These professionals get very little to no accolades for all the miracles they manage to work with folks that should be dead. God bless them!

Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams argued that she will win her election on Tuesday if voters can "navigate" the alleged voter suppression systems installed in her state by her opponent Gov. Brian Kemp, R-Ga. She spent a good portion of her interview with MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi on Saturday complaining about Georgia Republicans’ supposed voter suppression initiatives and attempts to "game the system" to stay in power next election day, despite record early voting turnout across the state. The conversation began with the host bringing up polling which has Abrams "trailing Gov. Kemp by double digits." Though he mentioned

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is perhaps in the most comfortable position among incumbent governors facing reelection on Tuesday. He has nearly a 12-point advantage over his Democratic rival Charlie Crist and not only is he fairly popular among Florida residents, he is a rising star in the GOP who has appeared all over the country in recent weeks boosting other gubernatorial candidates. However, it appears his biggest critics this election cycle have been the local press. NEW YORK -- The countdown to Election Day is on as the final weekend of early voting commences in New York. So far, turnout in New York City has been low. Only around 280,000 early voters have been reported, which is why candidates have a number of weekend rallies to push people to the polls, CBS2's Christina Fan reported Saturday. Voter turnout in Colorado’s early voting is lagging behind figures reported at this stage in the last midterm election, local NPR news outlet KUNC reported this week. Ballots returned by Monday showed that roughly 75,000 fewer Coloradans have cast their votes a week ahead of the Nov. 8 election than at this time in 2018. Unaffiliated voters, who make up the majority of Colorado’s voting base with Democrats coming in second and Republicans in third, have cast the greatest number of early ballots. Hayes played clips from the speech, including the president saying that electing certain Republicans is a “path to chaos” —

Rumor has it a red wave is taking over Congress, and Democrats are panicking. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reportedly plans to step down from her position if that just so happens to be true, with her daughter in line to take over for Pelosi. Christine Pelosi, a Democrat activist, has remained at her mother’s side for most of her political events, even writing a book on “America’s Most Powerful Woman” in 2019. If the plan to replace Pelosi with her daughter becomes reality, that would make her the third generation to serve in Congress.
