Some conservatives turn on Trump for attacking
Ron DeSantis ahead of midterms: ‘What

Conservative commentators who are typically Donald Trump's allies turned on the former president after he went after Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Saturday. Trump mocked DeSantis as "Ron DeSanctimonious" while discussing the 2024 Republican presidential primary at a rally in Pennsylvania. The pair is widely considered to be the top contenders for the Republican nomination, though DeSantis has offered no indication he intends to run. Commentators called out Trump for creating division in the ranks just three days before the midterm elections. "DeSantis is an extremely effective conservative governor who has had real policy wins and real cultural wins.

It WAS an incredibly stupid thing to say. Many people like DeSantis a whole lot more than they like Trump, so Trump snatching defeat from the jaws of victory was incredibly short-sighted. Trump made the mistake he always makes; assuming that everyone loves his juvenile nicknames.

Oh Good Grief! It was just Trump being Trump! He said it and I'm pretty sure he knew immediately it didn't go over at all. He might have pulled it off if he had said it in another State, but don't diss the Governor of Florida, in his Own State, after he just handled a huge Hurricane and immediately got things done instead of standing around wringing his hands at the damage. It just won't sell! Trump should have known that. I am not a Trump Hater! I have backed him all the way, but! I don't want to see him trash my Governor! It's that simple. If he continues to do so it will make me choose and I don't want to have to do that!

How he’s giving up his billionaire pleasures for us. His attacks on opponents are getting old. He obviously fears DeSantis and wants to take him out. It ain’t gonna work against a guy who is twice as smart as he. A guy who has a resume that obviously outshines Trump. DeSantis is a smart well liked politician/governor. He’s conservative and he thinks! That’s something Trump can’t do. Trump is reactive, a brawler, a bull in a China shop. If Trump’s idea that he can attack DeSantis like he has others, it will fail miserably. I say bring it on early Donald, so we don’t screw up the 2024 campaign.

DeSantis: 'I Have Only Begun to Fight' 3 replies

Another speech, another presidential-sounding declaration from Ron DeSantis. This isn’t getting old. On Election Day, at his victory party at the Tampa Convention Center, Governor Ron DeSantis celebrated with around 4,000 of his supporters as he cruised to a 19+ point victory for reelection over Republican-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist. In his speech, DeSantis gave yet another full-throated defense of liberty, freedom, taking on wokeism, and putting a stop to pandemic lockdowns. He gave several memorable lines, with Churchillian overtones, and a clear and repeated message to keep fighting, never give up, and never back down.

While we all wait for the polls to close today, I thought I would circle back to a topic that hasn’t been generating as many headlines in the MSM lately as it did earlier this year, though there has certainly been activity taking place inside Congress and the Pentagon. The subject is the ongoing drama involving the Pentagon’s UFO investigation office, currently known as the AARO. (The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office.) I say “currently” because that office has gone through a lot of name changes over the past 18 years, evolving from AAWSAP to ATTIP to AOIMSG and others, with yet another name expected to be announced later this year.

Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) is projected to win a second term representing the Granite State, fending off Republican challenger Don Bolduc in a key victory for Democrats. NBC News and ABC News both called the race. The victory allows Democrats, whose hopes of keeping the Senate would have been diminished with the loss of the seat, some breathing room as they wait for answers in other key swing states. Republicans had long seen New Hampshire as a prime pick-up opportunity going into 2022, but Hassan maintained a solid polling lead

Vance's win is a boon for Republicans and a victory for former President Donald Trump, whose endorsement in the Republican primary helped Vance emerge from the contentious intraparty fight. Vance continues a long line of Republican victories in a state that has tilted towards the party in recent years. Other than Democratic Sen. Four years ago, Beto O’Rourke became the next great hope for the Texas Democratic Party. Starting his senatorial campaign as a little-known congressman from El Paso, he captured lightning in a bottle by barnstorming across the state’s 254 counties on his way to a narrow loss to Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz. Though he came up short, O’Rourke helped sweep in down-ballot victories across the state, helping Democrats pick up 12 seats in the Texas House, two seats in the Texas Senate and boosting newcomer Lina Hidalgo over longtime Republican Ed Emmett in the race for Harris County judge.
