Trump Engages in Friendly Fire, Goes After
Ron DeSantis at Rally

I guess it was just a matter of time, but doing it three days before the mid-terms seems less than ideal. Donald Trump held a rally in Pennslyvania tonight, but as usual, the candidates running for office were an afterthought. Instead, the former president spent the majority of the time talking about himself. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s a Trump rally after all, and to be sure, they can be very entertaining. Unfortunately, instead of some of the good things he said making news, there’s currently just one clip going gangbusters on Saturday night. That would be this one where Trump engaged in friendly fire by taking

What I like about FPDT is that, unlike the Bushes and the other RINOs, he fights back. Unfortunately, he often does so in a childish, raw fashion. Taking aim at DeSantis is foolish, particularly a few days away from the mid-terms. President Trump was at his best when he had Rush on speed-dial. I'm afraid he has lost his muse.

Trump needs to save it for when and if DeSantis decides to run for 2024, this does not help the current disaster we have right now with the Dems, they will use this against him. They make up enough crap as it is, no need to give them more arsenal for their agenda of hatred for him and those who vote Republican.

He'll be 78 years old in 2024 and he publically mocked and attacked the most popular Republican governor in the country 3 days before an extremely consequential election. Bonchie is right regarding the insecurity and weakness. Republicans don't do this to other Republicans just days from an election. Trump attacked his own people. It'll be remembered by normally friendly people. It's not friendly fire. It's fragging.

I have my doubts about DeSantis on a national stage BUT he is a better choice for Florida than Crist, so following Reagan's commandment, now is not the time to be taking potshots. Between this and his support for Oz, for heaven's sake, my faith is a little shaken.

I never liked him but felt he was a good president. He just doesn't know when to shut up. And now we hear he's going to announce this coming week. He should wait for the new congress to be seated. He's such an egotistical ass and it always has to be about him. Hinderaker wrote this past week what many here are saying; Trump should go home.

Big miscalculation. Too many people like DeSantis more than they like Trump, which probably explains why he’s started acting like an adolescent again. If Trump does announce, at some point, he's going to want DeSantis to help him win Florida. I think The Governor might just be too busy to do that for someone who is making fun of him in His Own Backyard! Not a wise thing for Trump to do. And, because I live in Florida and have seen firsthand what a great Governor he is, If DeSantis decides to Run I will probably vote for him instead of Trump. I voted for Trump both times, but I hate his nastiness! I hate it that he acts like a High School Kid going after people he doesn't like. He needs to be the Adult. He was a Great President, but maybe his Glory Days are coming to an end. The more he does things, like going after the most Popular Governor in the Country, the more it grates on people like me! If he forces a Fight between himself and DeSantis, he just might lose!!

The only confusing parts are DeSantis rallied with Zelden after Zelden turned his numbers up and Zelden rallied with Tulsi Gabbard. DeSantis endorsed O’Dea after George W Bush attended his fundraiser in Colorado. Seconding a former globalist president George Bush and a recent Democrat convert Tulsi Gabbard endorsements. That’s a lot of Uniparty support. Very conflicting.

That was a VERY mild swipe at DeSantis. A very mile nick name and Trump gives everyone nick names. All I know about Desantis is that he kept Florida open during the pandemic. That a good thing BUT I'm not convinced he's not part of the Bush wing of the party. He's going to have to denounce that part of the party - and I still won't know if he's telling the truth -- nobody will. He needs to remember that Trump has far more support than he does. "Governor Desanctimonius" is a cheap shot, and I will overlook the statement, chalking it up to excitement and enthusiasm at the rally. Hopefully, DeSantis doesn't retaliate. Comments here demonstrate why us Conservatives are losing the country. We demand absolute perfection in our candidates and leaders or we dump them..even when the result will be another loony Democrat winning. Remember the phrase "Yellow Dog Democrat?" Democrats will vote for a yellow dog if it's their candidate. Yet look at us! "I will not vote for him!" "he makes snide remarks!" "He doesn't respect women!" "He's a conceited ass!" We can see what Trump did for this country all by himself during his presidency. Imagine where we would be as a country today if he had had the cooperation of his party.

I adore Trump and have said on these pages many times, he is the only one that can go into battle against a global deep state that intends to destroy our country. BUT, Mr. President, three days before the most important election in our lifetimes, perhaps close to one of the most important elections in our country's history, and you go after DeSantis? I am so, so disappointed in him. He is giving fodder to many on our beloved Lucianne.com site, and many of my former Trump loving friends, that believe he is not the one to run in 2024. I don't ever want to believe that's true. But, his attack on DeSantis, regardless DeSantis's ties to the republican establishment, was and is uncalled for and a terrible, terrible idea. I hope he refrains from another attack as he campaigns in Miami today. I remember Rush saying that Trump was the only one that could destroy Trump. And if he continues along these lines, Rush's prediction will definitely come true. I'm so, so sad today.

This is exactly what demosluts don't do. They stick together and never go after each other no matter what. It's how they have done so much damage to this country in so little time. DeSantis isn't even on the ticket except as governor in Florida. Having a Trump/DeSantis ticket in 2024 would be a super ticket. Imagine the melt down of the demosluts trying to run against that ticket. Maybe this is the reason those who vote based on emotion voted against Trump. They don't want any fighting or arguments. Do some research. This is about DeSantis endorsing O'Dea, a rabid anti-Trumper running for the Senate in Colorado and a DeSantis ad making him out to be God's anointed pick for Florida. Don't know if the ad is in good fun, but it looks like PDJT took it that the ad showed DeSantis was God's pick. Here's the problem: DeSantis knew that O'Dea would be a problem for Trump. If O'Dea becomes a Senator he will join with the demonrats in the Senate and cause all sorts of hell for Trump in years ahead and especially in 2024. O'Dea has said he's not pro-life and will work with the Left in the Senate. But Governor DeSantis endorsed him anyway, maybe thinking that even though he's an anti-Trumper, he's better than a democrat. Here's Trump point of view: He campaigned for and helped DeSantis to become governor and wants him to be loyal and he feels that supporting an anti-Trump candidate is disloyal. LOYALTY is a very big thing to President Trump after all that he's been through with all the Judas' in his life. For Pres. Trump to speak about this, means he's very troubled with events. What I can say to my fellow posters is this: please pray for unity in our party, don't believe the media, wait, research, and pray for wisdom and discernment. These are troubling times and the devil would love to destroy us.

And now for the rest of the story... How many of you have seen the latest DeSantis ad, a cheap rip-off of Paul Harvey's "And God made a Farmer"? De Santis has earned the new moniker - he is OK with the establishment anointing him to undermine a 2024 DJT bid, meanwhile he would not be Governor of Florida without Donald Trump pulling him over the finish line. That is a fact - 49.6% to 49.2%. Back then, his ads showed him reading Donald Trump's book to his son; now it's Top Gov ad - cute but a little cringey; but the Paul Harvey ad is over the top; and that's not just my opinion.

Well, this is a tempest in a teacup. I understand everyone’s concern. Some are gleefully wringing their hands hoping President Trump has finally stepped in it. Others are being more cautious with their criticism by giving him the benefit of the doubt because maybe they saw DeSantis’ ad that was pretty darn sanctimonious. In fact, it was off putting to many. Come on, people would have crucified Trump had he done a similar ad. So, let’s all just calm down and take a breath. DeSantis has made some critical errors here lately. Endorsing O’Dea was a big one. Now, why did he do that? He knew who he was and knew it would not sit well with Trump or his supporters. Why pick a fight, Ron, especially with the guy whose support was critical for your victory as governor? Is he trying to get a rise out of Trump for his own political advantage? Clearly, both guys have massive egos. And if you are smart and aspire to be President with the help of the GOPe wing of traitors, you just might listen to their advice and promises. All I know is that once I knew DeSantis was getting friendly with that crowd, my admiration was tempered with caution. The ad did not help matters either. What I know for a fact is that there is a faction in the Republican Party that is as evil as any enemy in the democrat party and they are powerful. Until Trump came along they were never challenged. They had free reign and used their power ruthlessly and not for the good of the country, quite the opposite. It was used to consolidate power and wealth for themselves. Frankly, I am suspect of anyone who would have anything to do with this arrogant country club cabal. Therefore, if you ask me the guy who should be apologizing is RD for throwing in with the establishment especially at a time like this. What have they ever done for him previously? Did they show any interest in him until they realized he could become rival of PDT? So let’s think this through. If you ask me, DeSantis has a lot more to explain than Trump. Is RD being groomed by the GOPe? Maybe. They would cozy up to Satan if they believed it would destroy Trump. All I am doing is cautioning people to be smart. Look at RD’s actions. Everything is not as it seems and that is exactly the way the GOPe wants it. They are the villains in this little cautionary tale. If they can derail Trump, they will. And if that means offering DeSantis everything he has ever dreamed of, they will. We all know what they are capable of and PDT is standing in their way if they have any hope of protecting the status quo. Never forget that. Therefore, I am going to hold my fire because I still trust Trump to fight the good fight because he has done it to great personal and professional loss unlike the very competent and likeable DeSantis. Trump did it alone with enemies all around him. DeSantis is wobbling now, what would he do under circumstances that could be brought to bear against he and his family? While I do believe Trump made an unforced error, he has a history that can’t be denied. He also has an enemy within determined to destroy him anyway they can. If you ask me, DeSantis’ actions give me more pause than Trump’s nicknames.

What if...and this is just a supposition...Trump and DeSantis have a private prior understanding that "Trump will be Trump" and do and say whatever's on his mind cause Trump's a brash New York born-and-raised personality? DeSantis hasn't replied in kind and they both have met and conferred privately in the past. DeSantis is (at least for the time being) busy running Florida. "Make it appear" as if there's a rift between them just to throw off Dems and the opposition? Wouldn't put it past Trump - he's brash and some think he's crazy - but he's crazy like a fox...

Red pills and chill pills. Let's have a good supply of both. Desantis is the future of the party and the MAGA movement. He knows it, we know it, Trump knows it. Desantis pinged first by smooching O'Dea. Talk abut unforced errors. What was Trump supposed to do? I am far more concerned with DeSantis' lack of political astuteness. DeSantis is on the hook too, to broker a peaceful transition of the MAGAs. So far not good. Absorb it.

Did you like what he did as president? Would you like to have a change in our leadership? Are you going to believe everything you are spoon fed by the media? Rather than jumping ship because of what might or not been said or done or at least that's what the rumor mill is pushing, why not stick with a proven product. Donald Trump has done more for you and America than anyone else in modern history. He exposed the Washington swamp, he can't do it all and he certainly doesn't need wishy washy followers. If he had not spent 4 years in Washington, our great nation would already be lost. It may be too late now, but why go down complaining about one of the only chances we have to save our country.

It took attention away from candidates who are running for office. -If Trump thinks his name calling will work this year like it did in 2016, he is in for a surprise. -I'm taken back by the people who criticize DeSantis for trying to help O'dea defeat a liberal Dem - I guess, like Trump, they would rather have the liberal win. - We elect our nominee - we don't have coronations, which seems to be what Trump and some of his hard core backers think should happen. Let the people decide through the primary process.

Thousands of words written bashing trump for ONE word...wherin he jibes DeSantis's new advert where he claims to be "Sanctified by GOD", an advert DeSantis ran locally in Fla, but the Trump Story is now global with no context about why he made the joke. Perhaps because those commenting know LESS about Trump/DeSantis/Current events than Trump does. Florida is one of the few states with enough older voters that will remember Paul Harvey, "God Created a Farmer", and get the "Joke" DeSantis is riffing, and Trump responding to.https://youtu.be/o8jz7Cwjo3c

#54 - Thank you. The Conservative Treehouse has done great work documenting the courtship between DeSantis and the GOP establishment over the recent months, and his unnecessary endorsement of O'Dea was another "tell". It bears repeating that Florida was within whisker's margin of being saddled with a sex-fiend crack-head for governor in 2016 if Trump had not thrown his support behind the unknown DeSantis. American patriots need to be a savvy group and understand not every politico that takes up the MAGA banner is a true warrior; some may fall to the seductions from the establishment GOP. Our enemies in the Deep State are not just Democrats. Remember the old adage: never fall in love with a politician, they'll break your heart every time. DeSantis is a politician. I believe Trump is a patriot. That said, tomorrow may be one of the most important elections in our country's history. Today is the day to pray and pray hard. I urge my fellow and sister Catholics to pray the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the deliverance of our nation. Also let us not forget, St. Michael the Archangel defend us battle...

It's going to be a wonderful primary season in 2024. It's nice to have more than one quality candidate for president in the mix who can win in November 2024. As long as America, as founded, is preserved, that is. Meanwhile, in other news, the mid-term elections are scheduled for tomorrow.

DeSantis is currently running to be re-elected governor of Florida. Urging him to "bow out" and kiss Trump's ring is ignoring reality of tomorrow's election. Trump might face the election 2 years from now. He has done no one but the democrats any favors with going after DeSantis on the eve of a most important election. If Trump does run, he'll need a GOP majority in Congress and allies in the statehouses that may or may not materialize tomorrow. What does he gain by alienating perhaps the strongest, most influential conservative governor in the country at this point?

Former Theranos chief operating officer and president Ramesh "Sunny" Balwani was sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison Wednesday for fraud, after the unraveling of the blood-testing juggernaut prompted criminal charges in California federal court against both Balwani and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, who on Nov. 18 was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison. During the sentencing hearing, attorneys for Balwani attempted to pin the blame on Holmes, telling U.S. District Court Judge Edward J. Davila that "decisions were made by Elizabeth Holmes." Davila had set a sentencing range of 11 years plus 3 months to 14 years, but prosecutors today sought a 15-year sentence

The House Committee on Ethics said Wednesday it is investigating Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.). The panel released a statement saying the Office of Congressional Ethics forwarded its inquiry into the progressive congresswoman to the panel in June, which typically suggests the office believes an ethics law was violated. It was not immediately clear what the investigation was about. “The Committee notes that the mere fact of a referral or an extension, and the mandatory disclosure of such an extension and the name of the subject of the matter, does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred, or reflect any judgment on behalf of the Committee,” the panel said.

Former President Trump’s legal team has found at least two documents with classified markings at a storage unit in West Palm Beach, Fla., in the wake of the FBI’s August search of Mar-a-Lago, several outlets reported on Wednesday. The documents were immediately turned over to the FBI, according to The Washington Post. The storage unit, which is maintained by the General Services Administration, was one of several locations searched by an outside group hired by Trump’s lawyers to look for any remaining classified materials. The move comes after a federal judge asked the former president’s legal team to ensure they fully complied with a subpoena from earlier this year

Oftentimes, they claim they’re doing this for “modern audiences,” but this is a weak excuse, especially since these “reimagined” movies and television shows tend to lose audiences and money as viewers walk away in order to avoid getting preached at by shallow people who hate the moviegoers they’re trying to peach at. I am pretty sure that my readers know that I am not a huge fan of Donald Trump, particularly the current version of Trump the candidate or Trump the celebrity. Still, I think Trump’s presidency from 2017-2021 is grossly underrated, particularly regarding his outstanding record in foreign policy achievements. As a Trump skeptic when he was running back int 2015 and 2016 I would never in a million years have expected him to be an outstanding president in foreign policy, but he was. Perhaps the best since Ronald Reagan, and certainly the best since George H.W. Bush. Trump was absolutely hated by our European allies, and equally hated by our international adversaries.

In a way, last night’s runoff election in Georgia provided the perfect cap to a midterm cycle full of missed opportunities and poor assumptions. Herschel Walker narrowly lost as a celebrity outsider to a two-year Senate Democrat incumbent who should have been uniquely vulnerable in 2022. And yet Walker finished behind Raphael Warnock not once but twice, in a state that elected Republicans into every other statewide office last month. Walker couldn’t get to 50% in either try despite the results of the regular election for Republicans in all other statewide races: Governor: Brian Kemp over Stacey Abrams, 53.4/45.9 SecState: Brad Raffensperger 53.2/44.0 over Bee Nguyen Lt. Testing requirements for people traveling within China have also been dropped and officials were ordered to discontinue frequent arbitrary lockdowns. The order told officials to “more scientifically and accurately” demarcate “risk zones,” with a faster timeline for opening up high-risk zones after they have recovered.

Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) won reelection Tuesday, fending off a spirited challenge from Republican Herschel Walker while helping Democrats grow their thin Senate majority in the midterm elections after a bruising four-week runoff campaign. Warnock was leading Walker 50.4% to 49.6% when the race was called, earning the senator his first, full six-year term after ousting an appointed Republican incumbent in a special election runoff nearly two years ago. Walker’s defeat was a major blow to the Republicans. They capped a disappointing midterm election season with yet another loss that effectively surrendered a Senate seat to the Democrats, who saw their majority grow from 50 to 51.

Some New York lawmakers are renewing the push for a state law that would lay the groundwork to pay reparations to black residents whose ancestors were enslaved. Proponents gained steam after a task force in California last week recommended that the Golden State shell out $569 billion in reparations to slaves’ descendents there, or $223,200 apiece, because of lingering housing discrimination practices. A previously proposed New York measure called for creating a commission to study the impact of slavery and providing reparations but failed to pass the legislature. Herschel Walker’s 100,000-vote loss in Georgia puts the exclamation point on the “Donald Trump is electoral poison” narrative. If the former president had deliberately attempted to sabotage the Republicans' chances ever since November 2020, he could not have been more destructive than he actually was. In the Senate, the Trump effect meant Republicans lost chances at a whopping 10 seats (one of them two times!) they either should have won or in which they might have been competitive. In the House, Trump’s harm was more diffused, but almost equally baleful.

Reports surfaced two weeks ago that Florida Republicans are considering changing the state’s “resign-to-run” law so Governor Ron DeSantis could throw his hat in the ring for the 2024 presidential nomination without losing his governorship. It is one sign among many that DeSantis, or those close to him, are thinking about taking on Donald Trump in the primary. A word of warning and wisdom to DeSantis: Don’t do it. DeSantis is a promising politician with a real future on the national scene. He should want to be president. But not yet. DeSantis needs to understand his true self-interest.
