In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court of Delaware has ruled the state’s mail-in voting and same-day voter registration statutes unconstitutional.
Neither will be allowed in the Nov. 8 general election.
The ruling, which came just one day after oral arguments, is a major defeat for Gov. John Carney and Delaware Democrats.

Often, I derive inspiration for my writing from songs — certain titles or lyrics just seem to wander into my brain and jangle around it until I find a way (and the time) to sort them out on the page. Ringo Starr’s “It Don’t Come Easy” has been doing just that of late (not the lyrics, just the title) as it relates to the concept of change — particularly changing minds.
I’ve been thinking a lot about political discourse — how fractious and perilous it most always seems to be. We’re a far cry from the spirited — but generally good-natured — debates I recall from my younger days.

Hunter Biden’s financial dealings and overseas exploits uncovered on the infamous laptop exposed by The Post could possibly be used by prosecutors in their reported tax crimes case against him.
When federal authorities kicked off their probe in 2018, investigators were initially looking at whether Hunter and his associates had violated various tax and money laundering laws amid their dealings in China and other foreign countries.
While it’s not clear exactly what evidence the feds have, the exploits of President Biden’s 52-year-old son are also in the scope of the federal Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).

For years, President Biden repeated the same mantra when asked about Hunter Biden’s influence peddling and alleged crimes: “My son did nothing wrong.” It was always implausible — as was his denial of any knowledge of these dealings despite emails and pictures to the contrary.
So the president and the press have been shifting to a new defense. As the father recently insisted of his son, “He fought an addiction problem. He overcame it. He wrote about it.”
The family and the media have been cultivating the angle for months as they anticipated possible criminal charges.

Joe Biden is destroying the American economy more and more as each day passes.
This morning the jobs report came out from the US Labor Department and it wasn’t good.
Hotair reported:
The jobs report looks decent on its own — but the trendlines are all going the wrong way. The US economy added 263,000 jobs in September, the lowest level in more than a year, and a miss even off the lowered expectations of 275,000 by forecasters. (Tweet)

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is accusing Google of suppressing more than 22 million campaign emails since September, by sending them to users’ spam folders, and is now considering legal action against the tech giant.
Google, which insists party affiliation plays no role in determining which emails get sent to the spam folder, launched an FEC-approved program to ensure campaign emails reached users’ main inboxes under pressure from Republicans.
But the RNC, which shared data from its email campaigns with Fox News Digital, says this has not resolved the situation, with masses of emails getting spammed by Google at the end of every month.

"Poll workers staffing voting centers in Maricopa County in the August 2, 2022, primary election consisted in the aggregate of 857 Democrats and 712 Republicans," the lawsuit said. Ameca, created by Falmouth, Cornwall-based firm Engineered Arts, is seen copying several of the human's expressions, including blinking, grimacing and smiling.
The researcher is looking at an iPhone 12 running a programme called ARKit, which lets users capture a person's motion in real time with a phone camera.
It then applies the detected motion to a 3D character model in real time, allowing the person on camera to control the movement of the model – in this case Ameca – like a 'virtual puppet'.

How does the Hunter Biden probe end? That question is stirring now that anonymous people connected to the case are leaking to the Washington Post — leaks of investigative information and prosecutorial deliberations that are about as surprising as the fact that the Washington Post somehow manages to make its report as much about Donald Trump as about the story’s putative subject, the incumbent president’s ne’er-do-well son.
It’s not a new question because it’s not a new story. Indeed, the reporting is only “new” in the sense that people supposedly in the know are talking about things that have been known for years — certainly known to readers

In a win for election integrity, absentee voters can no longer change their vote after submitting their ballots, a Wisconsin judge has ruled.
As previously reported, Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections (RITE) filed a lawsuit against the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) for its unlawful guidance that allowed absentee voters to change their vote after their ballot had already been cast. The guidance also allows election officials to “spoil” the old ballot on behalf of the voter, creating an environment ripe for voter fraud and confusion.
Such a directive violated Wisconsin statute, which states that a voter possesses the exclusive authority to spoil his absentee ballot before it is submitted, not after.

It is impossible to be too cynical about the Post story. Reading between the lines, one can only see the coverup of the Biden family corruption at work.
In his New York Post column on the leaked story Andrew McCarthy musters the high level of cynicism to read it correctly.

U.S. Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska is the sole finalist to be the next president of the University of Florida, opening up the possibility that he will resign from his Senate seat in the coming weeks.
The university’s presidential search committee announced on Thursday it had unanimously recommended Sasse, 50, for the job.
“This is right for the University of Florida, right for the state of Florida and right for the Sasse family,” said Rahul Patel, chair of the search committee.

I came of age in Ronald Reagan’s neon-tinted 1980s, complete with big hair and big action heroes. My role models were people like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Commando, Sylvester Stallone in Rambo, and Carl Weathers in Predator.
Even James Cameron’s Colonial Marines from 1986’s Aliens made militarism cool well before the word “tacticool” (a portmanteau of tactical and cool) was invented in 2004.
These over-the-top action heroes glorified the unstoppable might of the American military. Even Oliver Stone’s Platoon, arguably an anti-war movie, taught me about self-sacrifice.

Should Republicans take control of the U.S. House and Senate in November, their first order of business — before tax and spending cuts, abortion restrictions, gun legislation, or anything else in their predictably anodyne agenda — should be to impeach Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Under Garland, the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been thoroughly politicized and weaponized, transformed into instruments of terror aimed at ordinary American citizens who have the temerity to oppose the Biden administration’s radical agenda.

A viral video from a Hamilton daycare has devastated parents and horrified the community.
WCBI News in Columbus said that numerous concerned parents reached out to them overnight Wednesday. Because it does involve kids, the local media were not showing the video or faces at this time but luckily we obtained a copy of the disgusting video!
We decided to present the video for the children’s sake!
The video shows daycare workers wearing Halloween masks and scaring the kids. Defiant America has learned the video of the incident was recorded last month.

When we think of violence we usually associate it with the destructive actions like stripping our law enforcement budgets of badly needed funds or allowing repeat offenders back out on the streets to commit more crimes. Images of pedophiles or hopped-up perpetrators accosting innocent people just going about their business pop into our heads along with the mug shots of crazy people with guns who have entered our schools and murdered our children.
Trigger words don’t even make it to our 'B' list of violent behavior, but that was before a few of our government agencies entered our private space and started poking

A new member of President Joe Biden’s State Department previously worked to build strong ties between Americans and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the Washington Free Beacon first reported.
Nina Hachigian is currently serving in the newly created State Department position of “Special Representative for Subnational Diplomacy.” Hachigian will be tasked with developing the department’s ties with cities in the U.S. and abroad, but she previously worked with multiple groups to foster closer ties between the U.S. and China, according to the Free Beacon. More than 300,000 smartphones used to monitor illegal immigrants were given to noncitizens by the Biden administration last month, according to data collected by Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse.
Issuing such cellular devices to illegal immigrants is part of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement program called the Alternatives to Detention, which essentially gives the individuals access to U.S. soil before their court dates.
The smartphones, which cost taxpayers $361,218.08 per day, use facial recognition, GPS monitoring, and voice identification, according to ICE.
Jon Feere, former DHS senior adviser and director of investigations at the Center for Immigration Studies, told the Free Beacon last month

President Biden said in an address to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee on Thursday night that the country under his leadership is as close to "Armageddon" as it has been since the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 1960s.
Speaking at a fundraiser in New York, Biden addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin threatening to use a nuclear weapon. "[Putin was] not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons," Biden said. "We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis."
Russia has hinted several times at the possibility it could unleash weapons of mass destruction

At a Democrat fundraiser held Thursday night at the New York City home of James Murdoch, Joe Biden warned the United States is on the brink of nuclear “Armageddon” with Russia over Ukraine, according to pool reports. Biden likened the situation to the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis that brought the U.S. and Russia to a standoff over Russian nuclear missiles placed on Cuban soil.
Biden reportedly said, in part, “We’re going to continue to support [Ukraine] but (for) the first time since the Cuban missile crisis, we have the direct threat of the use of a nuclear weapon if in fact things continue down the path that they are going.

Think of all the institutions that have marched in lockstep during the dramatic decline in civilization over three years. It’s been media, Big Tech, large corporations, academia, the medical industry, central banks, and government at all levels. They have all been in on the lie. They sat by and said nothing or even cheered as governments utterly wrecked rights and liberties that humanity has fought for over 800 years.
The examples are too numerous to list but one stands out to me.
For several months, New York City attempted a bold experiment making a place for vaccinated people only. Disproportionately hit were 40 percent of black residents who refused

Leaks from the Department of Justice that charges are imminent against Hunter Biden over tax and gun offenses suggest he is getting a sweet deal after a four-year investigation by Delaware US Attorney David Weiss.
Missing from The Washington Post account of the DOJ case against the president’s son is any mention of previously mooted charges over money laundering and violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), both of which could lead prosecutors to inspect the president’s involvement in an influence-peddling scheme run by his son and brother Jim Biden during Joe’s time as vice president.

In a baffling series of remarks this week, President Joe Biden admonished gas station owners to slash prices and to “do it now,” blaming the latest gasoline price increase on greed. The president’s comments came as the average price per gallon hovers around $3.80 and as millions of Americans are worried about the rising cost of heating their homes.
Amid global instability, wildly fluctuating energy markets and rampant inflation, the president fails to realize that government policies and regulations have made matters worse.

Political cartoonist Michael Ramirez has won two Pulitzer Prizes – an achievement only a handful of others in his category have achieved – as well as countless other awards for his unmatched mastery of his craft. His cartoons, syndicated by Creators, run in publications around the world.
Yet, to Google’s content police, Ramirez’s cartoons are “shocking content” and it is restricting ads on a page where a catalog of them appears.
How do we know this? Because it’s against our site that Google has taken this action.
Google’s AdSense network – which is used by some 3.5 million websites to generate revenue – defines “shocking content” as content that:

Living on the American side of the Mexican border can be chaotic and dangerous, as unauthorized migrant refugees — some 700,000 during this fiscal year alone — will go to incredible, even fatal lengths in attempting to cross into the US.
For the men and women who work as border patrol agents, the out-of-control situation often creates debilitating stress.
Now, three wives of border patrol agents are trying to do something about it by running for Congress in Texas’ Nov. 8 election. All are Republicans.
Here are their stories and their motivations for stepping up:

The US Supreme Court vacated a Massachusetts gun control law in one of the first orders of its new term following the justices’ June ruling striking down a New York statute that required people to show “proper cause” if they want to carry a concealed firearm in public.
The Massachusetts case — Morin v. Lyver — concerned the plaintiff being denied a new firearm license because he had two out-of-state misdemeanor convictions for weapons possession.
Massachusetts law places severe restrictions on the possession and purchase of firearms, including the ability to obtain a license to possess handguns, if convicted of nonviolent misdemeanors.

An 18-year-old Texas man visiting his girlfriend in labor went on a rampage at a hospital, where he assaulted several staff members and two babies who turned blue when he choked them, police said.
The unhinged attack began after Marcus Dewayne McCowan Jr. went to the Odessa Regional Medical Center on Monday evening to visit his girlfriend, who was in labor, news station KMID reported.
At one point, the teen began acting oddly and went to the nurses’ station, where he grabbed the arm of a nurse and made “an unintelligible statement” before being asked to leave, the outlet said.

Radical animal rights protester Alex Taylor has filed a police report claiming assault after L.A. Rams player Bobby Wagner tackled him during the protester’s run across the field on Monday evening.
Taylor and his partner Allison Fluty, both representing the radical animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere, appeared at Monday’s Rams-49ers game to protest by jumping out on the field with pink smoke bombs. Fluty was quickly stopped by security while Taylor made it to the field.
But as he ran across the field evading security, Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner stepped in and flattened the protester with a sharp body block sending Taylor sprawling down to the ground.

President Joe Biden’s anti-drilling policies have cut oil supplies as much as the decision Wednesday by OPEC+ to slash two million barrels of oil production, an analysis by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity shows. If former President Donald Trump’s energy policies would have been continued, American oil production would be four to five times greater than the amount of oil Biden has released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). According to the study, Biden’s war on American energy will cost the United States nearly $100 billion in output every year, which translates to between two and three million barrels of oil a day

This winter may see Europeans freezing to death, unable to heat their homes as natural gas supplies dwindle. Unemployment and bankruptcies will soar, as companies find themselves unable to cover their costs due to high energy prices. Germany’s vaunted chemical industry, heavily dependent on natural gas feedstock, is likely to wither on the vine. An economic and social disaster reminiscent of the 1930s is possible. The word “deindustrialization” is becoming real.
And yet, as Bloomberg reports:
Beneath the windmill-dotted marshlands of the Netherlands lies Europe’s largest natural gas reserve. The sprawling Groningen field has[snip] untapped capacity [snip] [to replace] the fuel Germany once imported from Russia.
