The First Thing Republicans Should Do
When They Take Back Congress Is Impeach

Should Republicans take control of the U.S. House and Senate in November, their first order of business — before tax and spending cuts, abortion restrictions, gun legislation, or anything else in their predictably anodyne agenda — should be to impeach Attorney General Merrick Garland. Under Garland, the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been thoroughly politicized and weaponized, transformed into instruments of terror aimed at ordinary American citizens who have the temerity to oppose the Biden administration’s radical agenda.

The list of candidates deserving of impeachment is a mile long. Whether Garland, Mayorkas, Brandon, or another incompetent is up first doesn't really matter so long as each of them has their turn in the dock.

First thing they should do is release the jan 6 political prisoners and thrown ALL of the dems in the same jail-let the jan 6 prisoners be the guards. Maybe a year or two later we can let them before a judge. Put them in solitary confinement and make sure the food has maggots. Make THEM eat the bugs they intend for us. Then put biden back in the basement.

Yes, there are several bad actors who need to be impeached, but the first things on the agenda the new Republican House should be positive actions like cutting spending and blocking bad policies — things that visibly improve life for the average American family.

The only thing we will get when the Republicans retake the House is two years of excuses explaining why they don't do what courage requires. Does anyone seriously think McCarthy won't work hard to cooperate with Democrats? C’mon man.

To use a Seinfeld reference, it will be on his “permanent record” that he was impeached. The Senate won’t take him out but the statement will be made and, God forbid, if any future Democrat wants to try to appoint him to the Supreme Court it will help our side.

Actually, the very first thing to do is to stop any chance of the nuclear armageddon that Biden seems to be so intent on kicking off. Just think about it...a nuclear explosion, or God forbid, dozens of them, across the USA, when combined with any other action by the federal govt, would comprise the worst year in American history, by far, bar none.

Kevin McCarthy becomes the first speaker to ever be successfully ousted in a motion to vacate vote. One day, you can tell your grandchildren you were alive to witness this completely pointless bit of history. Matt Gaetz’s self-aggrandizing political stunt makes no sense and changes nothing — other than perhaps his fundraising totals. And other than some platitudinous blathering about “the establishment” and “the uniparty,” I still haven’t seen anyone offer a coherent reason — not even retroactively— for how any of this is the “best way to advance the conservative agenda.”

Having seemingly learned nothing from their losses in the 2022 midterms, Senate Republicans are preparing to sell out their voters by working with their Democrat colleagues to alter the definition of marriage under federal law by the end of this week. On Monday, a bipartisan group of senators announced they had reached an agreement on adding an amendment to the deceptively named, “Respect for Marriage Act,” which they claim would both codify same-sex marriage into federal law and protect “Americans’ religious liberties and diverse beliefs.”

The self-styled “hardcore libertarian” was elected as a Republican after he drafted a blistering 228-page review of Maricopa County’s 2018 election administration as well as a 48-page audit lambasting the Democrat running the county’s elections. His pledge to be less political than his predecessor Adrian Fontes and restore confidence in elections generated support from Republicans eager to improve election administration in the populous county where more than 60 percent of Arizonans live.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi shoulders much of the blame for the security breakdown at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, a preliminary report from Republican investigators Reps. Jim Banks and Rodney Davis determined. The Capitol Police (USCP) were half-staffed on Jan. 6, Pelosi’s House Sergeant at Arms denied multiple requests for National Guard assistance from the Pentagon and the USCP Chief in the days leading up to Jan. 6, officers were poorly equipped and had insufficient riot shields and helmets, and they were never trained to handle a riot even after the riots of 2020, the investigation shows, according to Banks.

President Biden really does not want the public to know about his federal takeover of election administration. Dozens of members of Congress have repeatedly asked for details, to no avail. Good government groups, members of the media, and private citizens have filed requests under the Freedom of Information Act. Not a single one has been responded to. All signs indicate a concerted effort to keep the public in the dark until at least after the November midterm elections. The lack of transparency and responsiveness is so bad that the Department of Justice and some of its agencies have been repeatedly sued for the information.

If there is one thing that 2020 has taught me, it is that the real political and cultural divide in our country is not between Republicans and Democrats, or even conservatives and liberals, but between traditionalists and progressives. At the core of progressivism is not the optimistic American belief that things are improving and that our children can live better lives than we did, but the belief that man is a perfectible product of evolutionary forces. Rather than being made in God’s image and then fallen, progressives believe we must throw off the shackles and prejudices of the past in order to move forward to build utopia.

President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that he approved $9 billion in student loan forgiveness for 125,000 Americans. The relief is a result of his administration's fixes to a number of programs, including the income-driven repayment plans and Public Service Loan Forgiveness. More than $5 billion of the aid will go to 53,000 borrowers who've worked in public service for a decade or more; $2.8 billion of the forgiveness is for 51,000 borrowers enrolled in income-driven repayment plans; and another $1.2 billion of the cancellation will go to 22,000 borrowers with disabilities. The announcement is likely to help Biden as he runs for reelection, experts say.
