NYC Mayor Adams declares state of emergency
after 17,000 migrants spark shelter 'crisis'

New York City Mayor Eric Adams declared a state of emergency Friday in response to the continued arrival of illegal migrants from southern states. More than 17,000 migrants have been bused to the city since the spring, a small fraction of the migrant encounters at the border over that timeframe. Fox News cameras at the Port Authority transportation terminal filmed eight buses arriving Friday, after nine arrived Thursday. Adams said that one in five people in the city's shelter system is a migrant, which is creating the "crisis." "This is a humanitarian crisis that started with violence and instability in South America and is being accelerated by American political dynamics,"

Man up mayor fancy-pants, it's exactly what you voted for! We're being invaded with no relief in sight. It's time all states stood up to this assault on our country, not just the southern border states. More buses need to roll to all blue states to share this 'wealth of diversity'.

Everyone knows that crossing over the border is illegal. Send them back from whee ever they came from. And tell the mayor, it’s his political party that is doing this. Not good for his te-election!

By declaring a state of emergency, he gets mo' money from the state and feds, right? As for the "violence and instability in South America" (I think he's talking about Central America but is too stupid to know the difference) - didn't the border czarina fix that "root cause" with yet even mo' money? It does appear, though, that Abbott's idea is making an impact.

If you don’t want more fake asylum seekers, stop calling NY a sanctuary city. Stop building welcoming centers. Stop complaining to the public about a lack of resources. Offering sanctuary costs money. If you can’t afford it, stop funding it. Call out the president. HE is the one who invited illegal aliens to enter the US illegally. HE is the one who ended Remain in Mexico. HE is the one who is betraying the people of New York, and of the United States of America. Stand up for YOUR constituents the way Gov DeSantis did for his. Stop pretending illegals don’t want to go to NY. They know It takes money to be a sanctuary city. You went over all the things you are doing to subsidize illegal aliens. What part of “You get more of whatever you subsidize” don’t you understand?

In NYC, during an emergency, all illegal immigrants must vote from home, at drop boxes or absentee and only for democrats. This has been a public service announcement.

But, isn't NYC a self proclaimed sanctuary city? It seems that having to deal with a small fraction of the migrant encounters that border states have to deal with on a daily basis for years suddenly is a crises when they come to NYC. #NIMBY

First, there was author Mark Houck who was arrested by more than 20 armed agents in front of his screaming children at 7:00 a.m. in the morning. His alleged “federal offense”? He pushed a man who his wife said made offensive remarks to his son. He now faces 11 years in prison under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. But then the Biden FBI went after 11 pro-life activists who hadn’t even done that. We reported on the arrest of Chet Gallagher. All they did was non-violently peacefully protest outside an abortion clinic.
