Long before he assembled one of the largest far-right anti-government militia groups in U.S. history, before his Oath Keepers stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Stewart Rhodes was a promising Yale Law School graduate. He secured a clerkship on the Arizona Supreme Court, in part thanks to his unusual life story: a stint as an Army paratrooper cut short by a training accident, followed by marriage, college and an Ivy League law degree. "He railed to colleagues about how the Patriot Act, which gave the government greater surveillance powers after the Sept. 11 attacks, would erase civil liberties." Which is the exact same thing the Left was saying at the time! So, why is he an extremist, again??

They have to convict SR so they can validate the political persecution. SR will get the kabuki treatment and be released soon after the rest are convicted

#2, That's "right-wing extremist group"... however, in reality, the description of the group sounds more having a quasi-anarchist bent, with leftist underpinnings. At the same time, Rhodes professes respect for the Constitution. That's not "far right" and it isn't Left. Leftists want to destroy it, along with 'fundamentally transforming" the Country which means its Constitution, Laws, culture, traditions and history (to quote M. Obama). In short, the political alignment of this group is amorphous, ill-defined. The Dem/Lefties consign anyone who doesn't conform to their ideological paradigm is a "far right extremist," revealing again how shallow, vapid and stupid their "thinking" is.

Just another example of government (and media) overreach and abuse of power. They portray them (Oath Keepers) as a militia group which I truly doubt. They are a Christian group that is concerned about government abuse. The government has been trying to scapegoat this group for over a decade to justify their right-wing extremist narrative.

The Oath Keepers were either an FBI sting operation from the start, or they were infiltrated. The pattern of government extremism and government domestic terrorism is becoming quite clear.

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones testified in a Connecticut courtroom Thursday in a second defamation trial to determine what the InfoWars host should pay to Sandy Hook families. MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Catie Grusin didn’t know Eliza Fletcher, but she woke up at 3:20 a.m. and put on a pink top before attending a vigil and running event honoring the slain kindergarten teacher who was kidnapped during a pre-dawn jog in Memphis, Tennessee. Thousands of people like Grusin, in cities across the U.S., finished Eliza’s run on Friday morning. Holding a candle in the early-morning Memphis darkness, Grusin gathered with others and sang “This Little Light of Mine” — the tune associated with Fletcher, who softly sang it to her students in a video posted on the internet.

Without bogging us down in too many technical details, suffice it to say that this is a big deal. Or at least it might be at some point. Scientists and engineers have been working on a way to build a workable fusion reactor for decades. A fusion reactor is quite different than the fission nuclear reactors you see around the world today. But there are enormous challenges involved in taking the fusion process from the hypothetical realm and creating a functional reactor capable of producing electricity for our energy grid.

A massive brawl broke out between up to 20 family members during a funeral for an elderly woman in Richmond on Aug. 6, leading to one injury, one arrest and $20,000 in damage, officials said. The Richmond Police Department said it responded to the Rolling Hills Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m. after several reports of a "chaotic altercation" between eight to 20 family members who were reportedly armed. Sgt. Aaron Pomeroy said it was an instance of family drama that started between a brother and a sister who were attending their mother's funeral and who do not get along — and "it goes back many years."

California finds itself on edge more than ever with a lingering fear: the threat of rolling blackouts for years to come. Despite new power plants, building huge battery storage systems and restarting some shuttered fossil fuel generators over the past couple of years, California relies heavily on energy from other states — the cavalry rushing over a distant hill. Sometimes the support does not show up when expected or at all. That was the case this month, when millions of residents got cellphone alerts urging them to cut their energy use as the state teetered close to blackouts in blazing heat.
