MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Catie Grusin didn’t know Eliza Fletcher, but she woke up at 3:20 a.m. and put on a pink top before attending a vigil and running event honoring the slain kindergarten teacher who was kidnapped during a pre-dawn jog in Memphis, Tennessee.
Thousands of people like Grusin, in cities across the U.S., finished Eliza’s run on Friday morning.
Holding a candle in the early-morning Memphis darkness, Grusin gathered with others and sang “This Little Light of Mine” — the tune associated with Fletcher, who softly sang it to her students in a video posted on the internet.

This is a wonderful gesture, but where are the tributes to hundreds of others who were victims of similar brutality? And where is the outcry for much harsher punishments for those who commit these heinous crimes?

The light of "Goodness" shines brightly in these ladies! It's time for the righteous to rise up and vanquish the evil amongst us! That would include those politicians and the treasonous Agencies that support them!

Our country was built on a foundation of Law and Order. Come November, get rid of those politicians who believe in neither; who rationalize all kinds of deviant behavior. We deserve better than what we are getting now in our schools, our libraries, our neighborhoods and our streets.

Just like all the other meaningless gestures made by people of good will, but who fear to accurately describe the problem against which they so impotently protest. Reminds me of the "War on Terror," which failed to identify the actual terrorist(s), and which has now been officially transmogrified by government operatives into a "War on (White) MAGA." Or the foofaraw over "Gun Violence," which fails to identify the shooters and instead, demonizes an inanimate object! Strangely, it is only "Whites" or "Christians" who can be specifically called out to answer for their purported crimes; in no other instance can one find anything like a specific identifying category of offenders. Nobody--and that includes so-called "conservatives"--has the temerity to notice the obvious common denominator in the wave of violence that is sweeping the country. Nonetheless, when one has the opportunity to see photographs of the instances of violence one can not help but notice the overwhelming number of blacks and hispanics who are the source of the violence.

A real symbol of support would have been to carry firearms while running. Don't conceal them. Have them out in the open ready to use at a moment's notice. You want to run alone at 4am? You'd better be carrying a gun.

A far better and more effective gesture would be to stop voting Democrat.

Work better if they had pitch and torches and burned down the Democrat officials houses who let out this monster.

A meaningless gesture that career criminals just laugh at. Part of the problem is these silly movies that show 100-pound women beating up big burly men twice their size. They give young women a false sense that they can effectively fight against men. It doesn't work that way for the average woman against the average man. I'm not arguing for women cowering in their houses, but some common-sense precautions are in order - running in groups (preferably with a few men), a CC permit and a gun, or at least a large can of pepper spray (even bear spray) or mace. They can somewhat level the playing field.

It was a nice gesture. But until women stop listening to the femi-nazi hags and start practicing common sense again, this same scenario will be repeated over and over again -- but without the press coverage since most women attacked in this way are not heiresses to billion-dollar fortunes.
In reality, men and women are not equal in so many ways. An adult male, unless he is in prison, has an infinitesimally small odds of being sexually assaulted. An adult woman has a fairly high odds of being sexually assaulted. My mother taught me very early on that you have to practice common sense to help your odds of living safely. One of those commonsense ways is to always be in groups if you are in higher-risk situations (like out at night or running at 4:00AM especially in a high-crime city).
Is it fair? No. But I would rather be a little inconvenienced than sitting in a police station or emergency room, or lying in a morgue, because I insisted that I could do everything a man could do exactly the way he does them.
