During a portion of an interview aired on Friday’s broadcast of “The Issue Is,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm praised California’s proposal to ban the sale of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035 and said the plan “could be” a national model, but acknowledged that the price of electric vehicles has to come down and the power grid has to be expanded.
Host Elex Michaelson asked, “California made national headlines by becoming the first state to say, by 2035, we’re not going to have any gas-powered vehicles that are new that are being sold. You can still drive your old ones, but you can’t sell new ones. Do you like this concept?”

Show this rediculous woman the door and kick her in the a*s as she leaves. She irritates the crap out of me every time I have seen her. She acts like an elite self-absorbed witch and looks down on the people she sees as inferior in intellect and otherwise. "Let them eat cake" Granholm what a (b)witch.

We consider California to be the National Model for everything. That's why Hollywood is dead, Disney is dying and people are leaving there by the thousands to live in much better states.

The ban will probably work seeing as how that by 2035 nobody will be left living in California, except maybe the street people.

She was a horrible gov of Michigan and I started seeing her pop up during 2020 campaign and knew she’d be with Biden if they were able to manipulate their way into the WH. If they make us buy ev by 2035, and Lord willing we are still living, we will buy enough gas powered cars to last our lifetime

FTA: "acknowledged that the price of electric vehicles has to come down and the power grid has to be expanded.". Its a red herring. They have no such intention. Its not just price nad electricity there are five key issues on EVs.
- Price must come down in the range of affordability Not just the car but also replacement batteries.
- Robust and pervasive infrastructure for charging stations
- Orders of magnitude more electric power
- Far greater proven supply of Lithium and Cobalt
-Greater recycling
Not only are all these five absent to support these plans but there is nothing on the horizon that says this will change. The world will require three times more electricity if all ICE cars go electric. And what are the plans - Windmills and Unicorns! There are 285 million ICE cars in the United States. The sinister possibility is that these people don't intend to replace most of them. Only 25 to 30 million $100,000 Teslas are planned. The rest of us take the bus. Affordable personal mobility is the hear of Western quality of life. That is exactly what the woke crowd is after.

Taxifornia is ALREADY showing this idea to be a DISASTER. They advised people NOT to plug in to charge their EVs due to strain on the power grid of a periodic round of high temperatures. Hybrids STILL have batteries that WEAR OUT and eventually will no longer hold a charge!
Just look at the INSANITY coming out of the"left coast": Kamala lala, Nasty PIglosi, and their republican pal McCarthy!
There is a saying around here: "Don't California My Texas"!
Likewise, "Don't California My Country"

Leftists never explain how their pie-in-the-sky ideas would ever work. For one, installing a charging station in your own home could be quite expensive. For many people, the existing electric service panels will undoubtedly be inadequate and have to be replaced at considerable expense. Then there are millions of apartment and condo dwellers who have no ability to plug in at home.

American Pravda howled constantly about how President Trump was a dangerous tyrant who operated without opposition. Never mind that he (foolishly, in hindsight) played by the rules, worked against strong opposition from the Republican Party on almost everything he wanted to do, and (again foolishly) didn't make any radical changes at all, seeing how everything he did was reversed within a few months. The same American Pravda has no comment on Pedo Joe's puppeteer using the federal government to completely upend the US economy with a wave of his hand.

The EV push by the hard left is not even intended to" save the environment." Our new, emerging communist class, has for decades excoriated the oil companies, even as they suck up a shocking percentage of jet fuel consumption as they evangelize their global communist, party-primacy world-view throughout the world. Every democrat politician has oil company bashing as a central part of their repertoire for the sole but unstated reason of lust for the money made by the exploration, production, and sale of hydrocarbons that underpins every First World economy. That is why the logistics of how this transformation to outlawing hydrocarbons, except for their precious jet fuel, are never laid out in any workable detail. They care only about pulling off the largest wealth transfer the world has ever known - from us to them. That appears to be central to their path to impose communism without the dirty, dangerous details associated with take-over by an armed insurgency. It's easier to defeat a poor, starving, immobile population that also happens to be armed, with no inclination to have their arms confiscated by force. They see being wealthy totalitarian overlords as their rightful destiny. This November is likely the best and last opportunity to bring this plan to a screeching halt, without shedding blood or having our blood shed in our streets and homes. Yes, some RINOs will likely be elected; however, as in close quarter battle, one seeks to take out the most immediate threat first. Example: when clearing a room, you find a bad guy in one corner holding a shotgun (democrat) and in another corner a bad guy holding an ice pick (RINO). You take the shotgun holder out first, then deal with the ice pick holder, who will probably drop the ice pick and surrender. There may be a few RINOs who are ideologically aligned with the hard left, bent on destroying the last vestiges of our country as founded but most are probably self-serving fools.

Has anyone in the lame administration actually studied our power grid and what would be needed to keep them delivering the required demand? Do we know what kind of charging stations we will require based on the time to charge a battery? How can this be done in cities?
Also, how will we dispose of lithium batteries and the impact on landfills?
Have they looked at other energy approaches such as hydrogen fuel? Bet you 10 to 1 nobody has. These people are all mouth.

#13, good recap.
And, I can add they would need to build 435 charging stations every day for 8 years just to get to what they claim is the goal.
Yet, the grid capacity is nowhere close to being able to support such a pipe dream.
Today's grid in CA can't even support what they have much less a whole lot more in a few years.

If the California gas powered vehicle sale ban ever comes into affect, it will cause an out flow of gas powered vehicles from California to the rest of the country making gas powered vehicles a lot cheaper outside of California.

Re #12, they are NOT dumb. They know that they are destroying the economy, making it impossible for us to travel any significant distance, bankrupting small businesses everywhere.
This is all INTENTIONAL, planned it is NOT because they are stupid and don't understand what they are doing.
This is the biggest obstacle to us turning this around this endless, rigid assumption that they have the same goals as we do, but at just "too stupid to get it right".
They do NOT have same goals as we do. We want a prosperous country, free with people happy and able to live where and how they want with good jobs. They do NOT want that. They want us to be peasants, freezing in the dark, unable to travel to organize any opposition, unable to communicate easily and without enough money to, again, oppose their tyranny. They took Hunger Games as a template of how they want the future to be.

Ummm. Can some enterprising reporter somewhere do a check and see if Ms. Granholm's stock portfolio includes EV car/parts/batteries or charging station manufacturers?
While doing that, please do the same for Mayor Pete and the rest of the cabal.
Methinks there's an interesting story to be told. . .
I have said it before, I'll say it again: Everything from this regime is shocking and horrifying--and now I will add-- frightening.
