Sun’ for Energy, Not Oil and Gas

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Thursday the United States must look to “the wind, sun, and other clean sources of energy” instead of relying on oil and gas.
Yellen’s remarks came during a trip to Detroit, Michigan, where she boasted about the Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act.
“Our plan — powered by the Inflation Reduction Act — represents the largest investment in fighting climate change in our country’s history,” Yellen told the crowd. “It will put us well on our way toward a future where we depend on the wind, sun, and other clean sources of energy.”

What does Yellen, who is obviously incompetent regarding economics, know about energy and America’s energy requirements? I’m old enough to remember being at Eisenhower’s inauguration parade, and I cannot recall a more incompetent cabinet for any president, regardless of party.

Anyone who thinks that the sun and wind is going to replace gas and oil as legitimate forms of energy within 13 years in a big country like the USA also believes in fool’s gold.

The math is straightforward. Blanketing every surface we can, using up all of the rare Earth elements required, and putting all the windmills we could possibly produce everywhere imaginable IS INADEQUATE. And that's in the sunshine on a windy day, let alone on a cold, still night. And then, after a few years, all those solar panels and windmills will degrade and fail on schedule, after that... have you ever read Anthem by Ayn Rand? It's short... The lady truly understood Communists.

Where are we going to put the EV batteries and Windmill parts? They do not decompose and will fill up our current landfills and the batteries will leach toxins into the land.
Go to this site and see what it takes to get the minerals needed to make the EV's work. Dems love child slavery so this works for them. https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1AWUC_enUS738US738&sxsrf=ALiCzsaLTN01_-zPANJG0lYb2pWdmz6DJQ%3A1661120546619&q=Lithium%20mine%20workers&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&vet=1&biw=2048&bih=1010&dpr=1.25&fbclid=IwAR2-s34pOGZXo_Hiws6ejKllO94WMW5ReSwVmWt2SrzrSOhWf-mQwHtvNgo#imgrc=z_f3Wog-S9L6QM

My goodness. The posters on Lucianne know more than the US Sec Treasury.
Wind and solar are faaaaaaar too energy dilute to replace fossil fuels. Ever. Nor are there enough rare Earth elements in existence on the entire planet facilitate them.
If you cannot speak to those two issues, then you are simply making a fool of yourself to suggest green energy is our future.

No problem, but the energy produced by solar, and wind has to be enough to make up for all the energy produced by oil, gas, and coal. None of this nonsense that we have to make do with less. Future energy requirements will likely be greater than todays. Solar and wind will have to be able to cover that has well.
If solar and wind cannot handle current and future energy requirements, we will continue to use oil, gas, and coal.

Yellen is a perfect fit for the HairSniffer administration.
The two characteristics required are:
1) a Screaming Leftist, and
2) a Total Incompetent.
Think about it..... everyone in this administration is incompetent.
Every. Single. One.
The only marginally competent person was 'Pisssakki the Press Secretary'..... she was a pretty good Liar, so they dumped her and replaced with the present person, who fits requirements #1 and 2 ..... she's an incompetent Liar.

Interesting article just amfew days ago. The "Green" reset is a lie. It's simply a con they're pushing on us.
There isn't enough lithium.
There isn't enough copper.
There isn't enough aluminum
There isn't enough titanium.
There isn't enough of the raw materials to actually create the green new deal BS these fools keep yakking about.
When I say "not enough" I mean in the Earth's crust, not simply on hand.
These people, like Al Gore and Bill Gates, have known this all along and yet they still push this farce down our throats. Like greasy Gavin outlawing gas cars but telling people to NOT CHARGE the EV's they were forced to buy.
When in the hell are we gonna stop these aardvarks?? They waste our time and resources for their own gain.

When the mainstream Republi-Can'ts let Lyin' Joe bidet get away with the biggest election theft in history, this is just one of many horrible effects of that election theft.
The damage being done in just the first 2 years of this invalid administration will take decades to overcome -- if it is even going to be possible to undo this damage!!!!!
You have to hand it to the Demon-Rats, when they get power they use it to do everything destructive they want. Unlike the Republicans that just "play nice" or get reamed by their own RINO members, the Demon-Rats just go for it!!!

ALL energy we use, except for nuclear, IS solar energy! It is the sun that drives the rain cycles that keep water moving about the planet instead of freezing. It is the sun that plants converted into stored energy that decayed and released methane and other fossil fuels. It is the sun that also provided all living things with the energy they need to survive and, when they decayed... fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels ARE solar energy. WIND is solar energy. ALL energy we use, save nuclear, is solar energy.

Can we have some tech breakthroughs on solar and wind energy production FIRST before we go and blow all our scarce rare mineral resources building what we have now? Have you seen the amount of materials necessary to make windmills, solar panels, and batteries? It's enormous and the return in energy in comparison is tiny. And, evidently, none of that stuff is recyclable after it wears out!

Liberals are narrowly focused. How about we look to wind, sun, oil, and gas? God gives us all these resources and humans think in limited terms. Of course, a person needs to have a relationship with God but, oh I forgot, the Democrat/liberal base is trying to void that too.

Looking to the wind and the sun for energy-so, since both the wind and the sun are products of nature, and exist completely independent of any action of mankind....this energy should be FREE, no? Ah, but the delivery charges on your bills, watch those go up! I think Janet Yellen should go chase a rainbow.

Yes, she is such an expert on energy production. Never mind that windmills kill millions of birds every year and solar batteries only last 8 to 10 years and will cause a huge disposal problem Add those to the EV batteries and we could build a mountain range. Maybe she should pay attention to our inflation problem that she completely missed.
