A New Mexico state district court judge has banned Cowboys for Trump co-founder Couy Griffin from holding public office for life following his conviction for trespassing on Jan. 6 at the US Capitol. [Video]
9NEWS)
State District Court Judge Francis Mathew issued the ruling on Tuesday asserting that Griffin had engaged in insurrection and violated the 14th Amendment, according to the Daily Mail. The determination prohibits Griffin from holding or seeking local or federal office and is the first ruling of its kind. The constitutionality of such a ruling will almost certainly be challenged.

The judge knows he is wrong, but he also knows it will take time and money to prove him wrong in the courts.

Unless these treasonous dirtbag Judges face some SERIOUS consequences for their dastardly rulings, it will continue to get worse. I wonder how much of a deductible he has on his Homeowners policy?

Can you say precedent, boys and girls? This is exactly what democrats have in mind for President Trump. It’s more lawfare of the worst kind because as Poster #1 points out it will take time and money to appeal this. These activist judges are a scourge on this nation and are tearing at the fabric of our judicial system like rabid wolves. There is no judicial restraint shown by these judges. It is just pure political bias. They know they will get an attaboy and who knows what else when they make these decisions. It’s just corruption of the worst kind.

Many were protesting because we were told there was no judicial remedy for what just happened. Can’t have judges overruling the will of the people after all. Like everything we're seeing from ‘Justice’ nowadays that seems to only go one direction. This won’t last much longer.

Whats to stop this same judge from banning Trump from the ballot, for the same excuse. This is the new treasoncrat election fraud. Get people banned from holding office, knowing that it will take weeks, months or years to resolve the cases.

A "judge" who obviously doesn't understand the constitution should be barred for life from serving as a judge.

Outrageous. How about banning Hillary for life from appearing on any visual media because she actually got people killed in Benghazi? How about banning Joe Biden for holding office for treason; his various nefarious Chinese deals? Or Pelosi for her Chinese grift and graft?
One man “trespasses” and get barred from politics for life, while the traitors get to cheat on still more of their own elections? How is that justice?

The "judge" needs to be strung up by his thumbs and whipped within an inch of his life! TIMO, time has come to deliver some frontier justice to these vermin. This is a blatant abuse of authority and a frontal assault on the liberty of all citizens. - period.

isn't a misdemeanir which happened in DC out of this judge's jurisdiction?
The precedent could ban anyone convicted of a misdemeanor anywhere from holding office in NM.
The 14th A is so broadly interpreted this judge coud likely be accused violating it in this case.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but perhaps some of our legal eagles on line can answer this.
What jurisdiction does a New Mexico state judge have to pronounce a sentence on a "crime" committed (and "persecuted") in another jurisdiction (Washington DC)?

Just run a write-in campaign and try to get elected. Then just take office regardless of what some worthless judge says
