Democrats stiff Joe Manchin of the goodies
they promised him for voting for their
'Inflation Reduction Act'

Original Article

Who must feel like the biggest fool in Washington, right now? Probably Sen. Joe Manchin, the independent-minded Democrat from the bright red state of West Virginia, who cut a deal with his fellow Democrats on the "Inflation Reduction Act," gave them his vote with conditions -- and is now getting stiffed. According to The Hill: More than 70 House Democrats are signing on to a letter pressing Democratic leaders to not include a side deal with Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) on reforming the permit process for energy projects in a bill funding the government.

Comments:

He ought to have known what Democrat promises were worth, but he was as gullible as Mitt Romney.

President George H.W. Bush reneged on his promise to us: "Read my lips, no new taxes" based on Democrats' promises that were not fulfilled. Manchin should have remembered this. Manchin took a blind risk, expecting that he would be thanked by fellow Democrats. He also is clearly content with all the bennies he has gotten from his service in Congress and felt he could give them a leg up and not suffer for it. Manchin is a man outside his generation. We don't like RINOs, Dems don't like Democrats who put country before the party. They wore him down, promised him redress, then stabbed him in the back. I'm not saying Manchin is proto-Republican; but he's is a lot closer to us than he is to modern Democrats. Just keep in mind, Democrats talk a lot about 'protecting Democracy'. But they mean something very different than the traditional definition. To them, Democracy is when a nation is totally controlled by the Democrat Party. It's 1984, all over again. Amongst themselves, they have changed the definition of a word that once meant Freedom and Responsibility and changed it amongst them selves to mean tyranny and oppression. Democrats should be called the Autocrat Party, because that is their truth.

He's a fool and tool, and when we've already got Murkowski, Collins, Romney, and a few other untrustables too quickly willing to turn coat against their own party, why would we want one more just like them? Besides, current polling in WV, where Manchin was once considered unbeatable, now show him as a political dead man walking. So let him remain a Rat so that he can lose to a Conservative in '24.

Joe Biden has made his obsession with President Trump known, most recently through his hellishly lit Mussolini-meltdown speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia last week, manically painting Trump and all his voters as "threats to the republic." He may be doddering and insentient, but he still burns bright against his potential opponent in the 2024 presidential race, which even Democrats don't want him to get involved with. On Trump, Biden's as obsessed with Trump as Stalin was with Trotsky. In today's happy news, Chile's voters have decisively, overwhelmingly rejected a full-blown socialist rewrite of their 40-year constitution that otherwise has served them so well. According to the lefty U.K. Guardian (whose account was less biased than that of the New York Times): Chileans have voted comprehensively against a new, progressive constitution that had been drafted to replace the 1980 document written under Gen Augusto Pinochet’s dictatorship. With 96% of the votes counted in Sunday’s plebiscite, the rejection camp had 61.9% support compared with 38.1% for approval amid what appeared to be a heavy turnout with long lines at polling states. Voting was mandatory.

SANTIAGO, Chile — For the past three years, Chileans have fought over a new path forward for their country in the form of a Constitution, written entirely from scratch, that would transform their society and grant more rights than any national charter before it. On Sunday, they rejected that text. The proposed changes had looked to remake one of the most conservative countries in Latin America into one of the world’s most left-leaning societies, but Chileans decided that went too far. Joe Biden paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II during a speech commemorating the September 11th terrorist attacks – and told Americans that they 'owe it' to victims and survivors to stand up for democracy. The president also attempted to earn redemption points during the most unifying annual event in the U.S. after insulting all Trump supporters earlier this month by insinuating in a speech they are a threat to American democracy. During remarks at the Pentagon on Sunday, just three days after Queen Elizabeth's death, Biden quoted the monarch by saying: 'Grief is a price we pay for love.'

Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) said Sunday on CBS “Face the Nation” that domestic threats the United States is facing are worse than international terrorism threats. Partial transcript as follows: MARGARET BRENNAN: You know, 9/11 introduced to many Americans for the very first time, this sense of vulnerability at home, and it launched the global war on terror. I wonder how vulnerable you think America is now, are we paying enough attention to the Middle East and to Afghanistan? WARNER: Well, Margaret, I remember, as most Americans do, where they were on 9/11. I was in the middle of a political campaign

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen admitted on Sunday that a looming recession and higher gas prices are a 'risk' for the Biden administration in the coming months. It's a stark departure from months of talking up the economy in spite of growing concerns from experts and lawmakers and decades-high inflation. Some of the loudest warnings are coming from progressive Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who has said for months that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's interest rate hikes to bring down spending will plummet the country into a recession.

There is a particular historical irony in the timing. On the same day King Charles III ascends the throne, previously Europe’s most isolated from consequence – yet loudest voice in chasing the catastrophic climate change energy policies, the British government is forced to reverse course on years of energy regulations and restrictions. Britain’s new Prime Minister Liz Truss announced, “a new round of oil and gas licensing will come next week with more than 100 licenses issued. A moratorium on fracking will be lifted and planning permission can be sought where there is local support,” in an urgent emergency effort to lower energy costs for British citizens.

Joe Biden has failed the United States in so many ways, that it might be hard to tally them all up, from the debacle of the Afghanistan withdrawal that started his slide in the polls and cost Americans their lives, to opening the borders and making our country less safe. His latest perfidy was demonizing millions of Americans as “threats” to the nation in an unprecedented action–while inciting people against them–last week. A majority of Americans saw Biden’s remarks as a “dangerous escalation” against Americans. It’s hard to see him go overseas for any event because you know that he’s going to make all kinds of gaffes,

NBC host Chuck Todd asked Vice President Kamala Harris to define a “semi-fascist” Sunday, following President Joe Biden’s previous attack on “MAGA Republicans.” Biden called the philosophy of former President Donald Trump and “MAGA [Make America Great Again] Republicans” “semi-fascism” at an Aug. 26 Democratic fundraiser in Maryland. Todd asked the vice president for the definition of a “semi-fascist.” “Listen, I think that when we … let’s not get caught up in politicizing the fact that most people in America know that it is not helpful to our country when we have people who are denying elections

The White House is asking Congress for another $5 billion to bus, fly, and house the southern flood of economic migrants into Americans’ workplaces and housing. Any additional funding will accelerate the federal “cheap labor distribution [network] that too many politicians in Washington are willing to participate in,” said John Feere, a former homeland security official. He now works for the Center for Immigration Studies. The inflow of workers, renters, and consumers “benefits groups on both sides of the border—governments, human smuggling operations, and businesses,” he told Breitbart News. The request is part of a budget request—a “Short-term Continuing Resolution”—sent by the White House to Congress.

Democrats are running as Republicans in races across America today. It’s the only way they can win in a majority of locations around the country. So they pretend to be Republicans until after they are elected. They even have a name for these Democrat plants. They’re called “secret sleepers.“ In June Project Veritas released leaked audio of Democrat US Senate candidate Krystle Matthews speaking on the phone with an inmate at Perry Correctional Institution. Democrat Matthews called for “secret sleepers” to infiltrate the South Carolina Republican party.
