[WATCH] Huge Mob Flashes California 7-Eleven
and Picks It Clean

“Street takeovers” are becoming quite common in Los Angeles and big cities. A mob of people and cars, responding to a prompt on social media, show up at an intersection and raise holy hell. Police try to break it up but are usually far too late. Such was the case on August 15 when a flash mob showed up at Figueroa Street and El Segundo Boulevard. After a few minutes of causing mayhem on the streets, they moved into a 7-Eleven store like a swarm of locusts. They picked it clean of anything of value in a matter of minutes. CBSNews: “Cars were just going everywhere,” said neighbor Lisa Trafton.

Comments:

Some areas have so many feral criminals running around, it is well nigh impossible for retail businesses to remain. When the perpetrators of "street takeovers" are unafraid of any consequences, entire cities become unlivable sewers of rampant crime. These takeovers are starting to involve carjackings and armed robbery of anyone happening by. How could these brazen criminals be made to be afraid? Only after the worst of them pay the ultimate price and just get shot down by retailers, customers, and would be victims who have finally had enough of the lawlessness.

I predict that stores that don't get closed will have locked doors and buzzers and will limit the number of people allowed in. The other alternative is a service window - you tell me what you want, pay for it, and I pass it through a bank-type window.

Back to the private protection that many NYC shopkeepers had in certain neighborhoods in the 1970s. Robbers come in, shopkeeper pulls out the sawed-off, lands two in one guy's midsection, calls up his friend Vinny who comes in with a cleanup crew of two large guys with no sense of humor in a Buick, and it's like it never happened. The cops knew but it was less work for them. I thought LA had a Korean version of this but this was a black hood so....the 7-11 will be closed by its Indian owner.

Another free enterprise zone that is supposed to uplift the intercity communities. We are told that it is poverty that is all that is holding these communities back, not their behavior, or morals. The video shows this group drove to their site of crime in nice cars, and formed a circle to block the public out, while they robbed the store. The Democrats have put out the message that it is ok to steal. The best think 7 Eleven can do for themselves, and their shareholders, is pack themselves out of California.

New CNN chairman and CEO Chris Licht is not to be envied. He has taken over a cable news network that is bleeding profits and viewers with little prospect of improvement anytime soon. Licht discovered, to his horror, that the network was massively dependent on Donald Trump for ratings. Without Trump to headline CNN’s news coverage, no one was very much interested in the biased commentary and left-wing slant to the news that became CNN’s hallmark. CNN’s profits are expected to fall below $1 billion for the first time in many years. And its prime-time coverage is drawing less than 700,000 viewers a night. Clearly, Licht had to do something.

While Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov argued “do not reduce” Democratic legislative accomplishments, her defense of the left’s chances in November seemed to highlight a broader issue faced by the GOP. The co-host of “The Five” contended the favorability for Democrats after her colleague Jeanine Pirro railed to the contrary, laying emphasis on President Joe Biden’s low job approval and perceived constant breaks from his duties. “The president has taken 150, 150 vacation days. By now you know the story of the raid on Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., but since then, there’s been a pitched debate in the chattering class on TV and the media about Trump’s ability to declassify information. And since he did declassify items, why is it an alleged crime now to possess those documents? I may have the beginnings of an answer. It’s indisputable that the president may classify and declassify documents. The office of the president has had this authority since World War II. President Obama codified the executive authority to do it in an Executive Order. Even the Washington Post had to admit that.

This time the alleged threat is a Neanderthal desire for a “civil war.” The FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Florida home, the dubious rationale for such a historic swoop, and the popular pushback at the FBI and Department of Justice from roughly half the country have further fueled these giddy “civil war” conjectures.
