California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday took out a full-page ad in Variety to urge Hollywood to "walk the walk" on its value and avoid shooting in states waging a "cruel assault on essential rights." "Hollywood: your values, you choice," the ad begins, touting California as the "best place in America to create" and the "home for storytelling and story tellers" for over 100 years. It mentions the "robust tax incentives" and "the best culture" for creators, adding: "Most importantly, we share your values." "Over the past several years, the legislatures of states like Georgia and Oklahoma have waged a
But, but..it's really hard to film when in the people in the background are pooping on the streets.

I just love it when Edward Munster, Jr. talks all ghetto and rhyming and slangy. It convinces the homelanders that he down with the scene. He badazz. He drip. He snatched. He walk da walk an’ talk da talk, see. But problem is: Hollywood is dying, Guv. Get a clue.

I have no problem whatsoever with them filming here in OK. We can always use the money. But if they object to our lifestyle, then stay away. We don't need you.

Hallmark Channel has made numerous movies filmed in my central Oklahoma town in recent years. Sylvester Stallone has been filming “King of Tulsa” series here this year. Our little town now has its own film commission to keep up with all the requests.

Last time Reese Witherspoon graced us with her presence here in Georgia, she was pulled over for DUI. Her response, “Do you know who I am?” Can’t even stomach looking at Newsom and his slicked back greasy hair.

I can't remember the last time that I went to a movie and I can't tell you when I will ever go to another. I have been done with hollyweird for many years now. Hopefully the industry will change, however, I don't see much hope of that.

For someone who maybe wants to run for president, Newsom is sure doing a good job going state by state alienating potential voters and eliminating electoral votes with his recent ads and comments. He may do well in liberal cities, but fly over country, which Newsom seems to disdain, feels the same about him.

I hate to break it to you buddy. But PROFIT is Hollywood's number one value. There's a reason that Films are produced outside of Hollywood. It's because the cost of doing business in California is to high. From labor, taxes, safety, permitting, materials, traffic, crime and pollution.

What a blessing if Cali-zuela CommuNazis stay out of my state. Hollywood filth is best produced near the mountains of dung in Hollywood.

I won't shed one tear if they get out of Georgia. They have brought their liberal values with them, which are not welcome.

As a Georgian, I am with #15. They can keep their values (or rather their lack of them) back in CA. They won’t, however, Georgia is business friendly and the cost of doing a movie here is half what it is on the left coast. Newsome is peeing in the wind with this campaign.

Is slick Newsome trying to become Hitlery Clinton?
Getting elected to government positions is not about inflicting harm and taking vengance against others--- why not tend to matters in your own state?
Is this called "leading by example"-- boy howdy, the people of Mexifornia screwed the pooch when they didn't replace him--- the corruption will continue until everyone who can moves out of his wicked dictatorship

Maybe everyone in Hollywood isn't perverted and wants to film in an environment with normal people in states that enforce the laws to keep its citizens safe..

I wonder if Newsome is going to try and prohibit the USC and UCLA sports teams, who are jumping to the Big 10 conference in 2024, from traveling to the red states of the Big 10. Left coast politics will probably finish killing the PAC 12, reducing the status of the "Granddaddy of them All," the Rose Bowl, to that of the Pinstripe, Cactus, Liberty, Idaho Potato, and Independence Bowls.
