Not because of the backlash, but because, someone shattered the business' windows and left slurs printed on her bakery overnight, according to the owner. (Snip) When Sac still planned for the show to go on, Sac said any accusation of targeting children is completely false. "We were not targeting kids. We were opening it up to families who felt like (the drag show) was OK for their kids," she said.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker tested positive for COVID-19 just days after traveling to Florida to deliver an address that is once again stoking suspicions he’s considering a run for president.

Violence in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood erupted early Monday as Pride celebrations were wrapping up, when two separate incidents left several people hurt and in the hospital. At least one person is in critical condition from gunfire, and another in serious condition after being stabbed, police say.
The first incident occurred at 1:27 a.m. in the 3100 block of North Clark St., when police say three people were shot while standing outside. The Park District manages 49 outdoor pools, 28 indoor pools and works with the Chicago Public Schools to operate school pools for community use in neighborhoods without a park pool.

Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin suggested that abortion bans in some states could actually violate religious beliefs in a column on Sunday.
Rubin introduced the subject by referencing a lawsuit brought up by the Jewish Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor against the 15-week abortion ban in Florida. The congregation argued that Jewish law "does not consider life to begin at conception or at 15 weeks" and refusing an abortion could violate their beliefs.
Though Rubin questioned whether this would sufficiently infringe on "First Amendment rights and the state constitution’s free-exercise clause," she still considered the issue "important."
"In any event, this is an issue the forced-birth crowd should care about."
