Dozens of incoming University of Michigan Medical School students walked out of a pro-life keynote speaker’s address, after a previous petition to get the speaker removed failed. (snip) The petition to remove Collier, who is also the director of the UMMS Program on Health Spirituality & Religion, was ultimately denied by the school’s dean, Dr. Marschall Runge. (snip) In his decision, he expressed the "critical importance of diversity of personal thought and ideas, which is foundational to academic freedom and excellence," according to the report. (snip) Dr. Collier made no mention of abortion, Roe v. Wade, or any political topic during her keynote speech.

Doctors in training DEDICATED to murder. If I were running that bunghole, I would dismiss, with prejudice, every one of the students who walked out. But we unfortunately no longer live in a world with consequences, so each one of these mentally defective units will become an MD. May God help their patients.

Dozens walked out. (looks like they're mostly women) Hundreds stayed. One nice note: The U has required masking at all University buildings/events. I see many without masks. Maybe there's some return to sanity. Also, the Dean supported the speaker;s right to have an opinion. Can't tell you how nice it is to hear this at the University of Michigan.

It's distressing that support for the unborn is automatically viewed by these new "doctors" as nonsupport of women. The exact opposite is the case; but it just goes to show how effective the anti-life movement is--They've managed to make some believe that subsequent surgeries after miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies are "abortions" and are now illegal. So many ignorant people.

Just as law students shouted and acted like petulant toddlers instead of trained professionals when a controversial speaker spoke, those first years should be dropped from the program for dishonoring the coating of future medical professionals. If they choose to be politicians, loose the coat and move on. Posers. Theirs is not to be opinionated purveyors of idealized science but practioners of Hippocrates. Shame on this school and board members if they take no action.. Spoken by a parent of recent white coated.

This is the reason why it's imperative that you know who it is that's treating you for whatever aliment you have. My father's PCM kept trying to convince him to get the "clot shot." He kept refusing and the doctor kept pushing. Finally my dad said that he had enough and dropped the bum. Such is the attitude of these future MD's and I feel sorry for their future patients.

Meet Brian Auten. The FBI analyst is hardly a household name, but whistleblowers who contacted the office of GOP senator Chuck Grassley say he was behind an August 2020 report that FBI officials used as part of a "scheme…to undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation." Auten’s report also caused the FBI "to cease" investigative activity into the younger Biden, according to a letter Grassley sent the Justice Department and FBI.

Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin suggested that abortion bans in some states could actually violate religious beliefs in a column on Sunday. Rubin introduced the subject by referencing a lawsuit brought up by the Jewish Congregation L’Dor Va-Dor against the 15-week abortion ban in Florida. The congregation argued that Jewish law "does not consider life to begin at conception or at 15 weeks" and refusing an abortion could violate their beliefs. Though Rubin questioned whether this would sufficiently infringe on "First Amendment rights and the state constitution’s free-exercise clause," she still considered the issue "important." "In any event, this is an issue the forced-birth crowd should care about."

I listen intently to the answers given to that plea by so many respected voices in the country.
