A gunman has killed three people and wounded others, three of them critically, at one of Denmark's biggest shopping malls, police say. A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the attack which sparked panic among shoppers at Field's mall in south Copenhagen. Police chief Soeren Thomassen said the motive was unclear and he could not rule out an "act of terrorism". Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said Denmark had suffered a cruel attack. Sending condolences to those who had lost loved ones, she said she wanted to encourage Danes to stand together and support each other in this difficult time. "Denmark was hit by a cruel attack on Sunday night," she said.

Years ago I assisted a Dane get some small sight parts for his 9mm handgun, so they can own guns, although I'm not familiar with the details of their gun laws. He had dropped it and broken the sight, and no ne ofvvthose partscwere available in his country.

The police have identified Robert E. Crimo III (who also goes by “Bobby”) as the “person of interest” in the mass shooting at the July 4th parade in Highland Park, Illinois. They just took him into custody. There were reports that the shooter may have been firing from the top of a roof. He killed 6 people and at least 26 people were injured during the attack. The police found a rifle at the scene they believe the shooter used. They have not yet identified the type of rifle. You can see people fleeing the shooting, as the band continues to play on the float. These were pictures from Crimo’s Facebook.

A person of interest has been identified in Monday’s deadly mass shooting at a Fourth of July parade outside Chicago, authorities said. Officials said he was 22-year-old Robert “Bobby” E. Crimo III and is believed to be driving a 2010 silver Honda Fit. The gunman opened fire with a “high-powered rifle” while standing on a roof just minutes after the parade began in the tony suburb of Highland Park, where six people were left dead and 24 others injured. The killer “was very military-style, methodical in the way he was crouched and shooting,” an attendee told WGN TV. Investigators found a rifle at the scene

Sunday on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” Democratic strategist James Carville sounded the alarm over the upcoming midterm elections. After sharing how “petrified” and “mortified” he was heading into the midterms, Carville said that “if this country does not have a voter intervention,” then he was “not optimistic about its future.” “I am not a voice of calm. I’m petrified,” Carville told host Al Sharpton. “And I will echo what my friend Congressman Clyburn said — if this country does not have voter intervention, I am not optimistic about its future.” “And if people, and particularly young people, if they care any about this country — and as you know; you were once

It’s pretty clear that the left is organizing to dump Joe Biden when it becomes evident that he’s a certain loser in 2024. Rather that waiting for a Ted Kennedy-like figure to challenge him in the 2024 primaries, which would likely doom Democrats to certain defeat, the left will need to push him out early, and clear the calendar for one or more Democrats to organize a serious presidential campaign. (It goes without saying the Democratic Party intelligentsia knows that Kamala Harris is a hopeless candidate.) There really isn’t a towering Ted Kennedy-like figure in the Democratic Party today.

If there was ever a holiday your commie sister-in-law and her man-bunned soi-boifriend hate it would be July 4th. Here are some helpful hints on how to bother your local bolshies. Tip #1: A “Happy Birthday America” Party Long ago, while working in a New York City office, I wore a birthday hat all day at work on Christmas Eve Day. The Christians got it and were tickled. The Texas Supreme Court on Friday blocked a lower court order that had allowed abortionists in the state to continue seeing patients. Texas has had an abortion ban in place that was unenforceable during the 50 years that Roe v. Wade legalized abortion. After the Supreme Court overturned Roe last week, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton warned that “abortion providers could be criminally liable for providing abortions starting today” because of Texas’s “abortion prohibitions predating Roe.” A Houston judge issued a ruling earlier this week allowing clinics to temporarily resume abortions up to six weeks into pregnancy.

A record low number of U.S. adults report that they are “extremely proud to be American,” despite President Joe Biden’s promise to “restore the soul and to secure the future of America.” Thirty-eight percent say they are “extremely proud” to be an American, which is the lowest percentage since Gallup began tracking the trend in 2001. Still, 65 percent of adults polled say they are either “extremely” or “very” proud of the nation — 27 percent are “very proud,” and 22 percent are “moderately proud.” Nine percent are “only a little,” and 4 percent are “not at all proud.” “This record-low level of extreme national pride comes at a challenging time

The warning signs are all over the place that a second Joe Biden presidential run could spell disaster for the Democrats — not to mention the rest of the country. Polls have shown time and time again that Americans aren’t happy with what he’s doing to the country. It may be worse than anybody thought. A new Harvard CAPS-Harris poll came out Friday with blisteringly bad numbers for the Biden administration. Infectious disease experts and public health advocates are warning that the Biden administration has been too slow to respond to the monkeypox outbreak and that the U.S. is at risk of losing control of the disease. The response to monkeypox is mirroring the worst parts of the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, they say, with severely limited testing and a sluggish rollout of vaccines leading to a virus that’s spreading undetected. “Where we have lagged is streamlining testing, making vaccines available, streamlining access to the best therapeutics.(Snip)Unlike COVID-19, monkeypox is not a novel virus, and the strategies to reduce the spread are well known.

Progressive lawmakers, in particular, say Mr. Buttigieg needs to do more to rein in airline companies that have taken billions in public subsidies since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s time for the Transportation Department to impose massive fines on poor-performing airlines,” said Sen. Bernard Sanders, a self-described socialist from Vermont.
