Back in the days of Roman imperial decadence, at least according to legend, the emperor Caligula demonstrated his unfitness for office and the dangers of public indifference and complacency when he appointed his horse Incitatus a senator. (snip) Sam Brinton (“they/them”) tweeted happily on Wednesday: “It’s official. As of June 19th, I now serve my nation as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition in the Office of Nuclear Energy in the Department of Energy.” He attached a photo of himself that was apparently taken in his office;

The Romans were pikers in decadence compared to us. Caligula’s elevation of his horse to the Roman Senate most likely didn’t occur. In any case the excesses of the emperors and the ruling class were kept quiet as much as possible. The elevation of Sam Briton to his position in the Department of Energy is a fact, as is his “loud and proud” sexual deviancy. This news is available to one and all, and is the point. The Biden administration takes every opportunity to flash the middle finger to America and America, in large part, doesn’t care. The Roman emperors, no matter how twisted and corrupt, did their best to “keep it among friends” while our rulers rub the public’s face in the outlandish and bizarre proclivities of members.

FTA: "I produced the first-of-a-kind reports and maps on consent-based siting and advanced reactor innovation." That's it...the entire pedigree of this deluded fool comprises his composition of a few single-author, non-peer-reviewed governmental reports. No actual experience in design, construction, or operation of any type of energy production: no actual experience in the design, construction, or operation of any waste disposal projects. In fact, no practical, applicable experience at all. Unless, of course, you consider his psychotic obsession with doggy sex as a qualifying criterium. And that pretty much sums up the lack of true qualifications for every major appointment in the Biden Administration. It is no wonder at all that the entire federal govt is lost in the fog, twisting in the wind, every dept at odds with every other. God has already revealed His revulsion to such nonsense (think, Sodom and Gomorrah): the universal law of sowing and reaping guarantees that there will be hell to pay for America's toleration of it.

Buffer Insurance condemned "secular" companies' response to the end of Roe v. Wade, vowing instead to support female employees who get pregnant and even cover the costs of giving birth. The Texas-based company vowed to offer maternity and paternity leave to employees who have children, as well as cover the costs of their female employees giving birth. The company also promised to help out employees seeking to adopt children. "Secular companies are paying the travel costs for employees to abort babies out-of state," Buffer wrote in a Facebook post. "Today we are announcing that Buffer will pay the costs for our employees who birth babies."

If you look hard enough, you can find white supremacy in anything. This is the lesson of critical race theory, which was developed in order to root out white supremacy from all of American society and culture. It appears to those of us who consider ourselves “ordinary” that sometimes, CRT proponents get a little too enthusiastic and perhaps look a little too hard to find white supremacy. Maybe sometimes, it’s not even there. This might be the case in Oregon, where the Oregon Health Authority’s office for equity and inclusion delayed a meeting with a partner agency on the grounds that “urgency is a white supremacy value.”

I wasted 20 years of my life chasing utopian energy. Utopian energy is an imagined form of energy that’s abundant, reliable, inexpensive, and also clean, renewable, and life-sustaining. But utopian energy is as much a fantasy as a utopian society. Seeking the fount of perfect energy allows us to pretend there aren’t real-world tradeoffs between, say, banning fossil fuels and helping people in impoverished nations or between using solar and wind power and conserving natural habitats. For years, I chased utopian energy. I promoted solar, wind, and energy efficiency because I felt like I was protecting the environment.
