Liz Cheney says Justice Department ‘doesn’t
have to wait’ for the January 6 committee
to refer Trump for criminal charges and
warns the Republican Party 'can't survive'
if ex-president is the GOP 2024 nominee

Rep. Liz Cheney publicly nudged the Justice Department on Sunday to move against Donald Trump, warning that not holding the former president accountable for January 6 is a 'graver Constitutional threat' to American democracy than letting him off the hook. Cheney - one of two Republicans on the Democrat-led Capitol riot committee - also shared a warning for her own party, which has largely ostracized her for her role on the panel. 'I think that that he can't be the party nominee' in the 2024 presidential race, the Wyoming lawmaker told ABC News of Trump. 'I don't think the party would survive that.'

I really do not want to see Trump run for President again, I think he would face the same hateful Democrat part against him and idiot Republicans like Liz and Collins against him also. But this investigation Pelosi started and everyone on it is an embarrassment for real Americans. It's a farce a one way farce.. It isn't looking for facts, it's only objective is to stop Trump, and even that is backfiring on them.

Their motive has been clear from day one. Trump won't end up in jail, but they will press (phony) criminal charges and, in time, put him in a criminal court room at the defenders table. The media coverage will make watergate look like a page 22 story.

Sure, Lizie, you can count on the political hacks like Meritless to jump the shark. But some not ready to retire Dept. of Just-Us employees might be having second thoughts. Combine her comments, and questionable ethics by ignoring any sort of questioning of their "witnesses", and the recent report that Saudi Arabia is looking to join the BRIC's nations, along with a few others, who aren't on board with the dictates of the U.S and EU on the need to eliminate fossil fuels. If the BIDEN Justice Department refers Former PRESIDENT Donald Trump for Criminal Charger it will be an AWAKING for ALL Republicans in this Country! If Liz CHENEY and her ILK can do something like this to a Former President, Republicans will walk over Broken Glass to WIN in November and throw her Fat Rear out of office. There will be such a Red Wave, Democrats will be jumping off Bridges! Do they really think we will sit back and not fight? And is it not up to Republican Voters to decide if we want Trump to be our President again (Not up to Liz Cheney to say the Party wouldn't survive if he is the Nominee)! Also, what is to stop the next Republican President from doing the same thing to Biden that they want to do to Trump? How about he go on Trial for allowing Millions of Illegals into our Country! She better hope that Door is never opened! I'm pretty sure she could even be on Trial for putting on a Sham Trial and allowing people to Lie so that she can get what she wants! Trump derangement Democrats want Donald Trump to be a criminal case defendant in a Washington, DC federal court (where evidence of HIS guilt will be irrelevant). DC is about 90% Democrat and any such trial would be a kangaroo court. He cannot get a fair trial in DC and (all but one or two?) of the DC federal judges are allowing unconstitutional trials to proceed against hundreds of J6 defendants. Why unconstitutional? Because insofar as is apparent, their defense attorneys are all but useless and worthless. I was a member of the DC bar for almost 50 years, and I believe the defense attorneys fear for their memberships in the DC bar (or worse) if they provide anything close to "effective assistance of counsel." It's a NATIONAL DISGRACE going on before our very eyes, and all but a very few (maybe six?) Republicans in Congress are mere passive spectators, silently letting it happen.

The uncle of Robert “Bobby” Crimo III — the person of interest in Highland Park’s 4th of July parade mass shooting — said there were no signals that his 22-year-old nephew would carry out such carnage. “There were no signs that I saw that would make him do this,” Paul Crimo told CNN in a Monday night interview after his nephew was taken into custody in connection to the shooting. Robert Crimo was described as a recluse by his uncle and others who knew him, including neighbors and former classmates. President Joe Biden celebrated Independence Day on Monday, but expressed disappointment about ongoing gun violence and the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. A red flag law, a waiting period for gun purchases, licensing requirements, and numerous other gun controls did not prevent the July 4, 2022, Highland Park attack. Mike Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety lists Illinois as the state with the sixth most stringent gun laws in the country. Moreover, Gabby Giffords gun control group gives Illinois a grade of A- on gun control. Illinois has a red flag law, a waiting period for gun purchases, gun owner licensing, domestic violence gun laws, “open carry regulations,” and numerous other gun controls. The gun owner licensing is done via Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) cards.

Everyone yearns to be free. Freedom of choice — free agency — is a divine gift we each receive at birth. It is part of our human nature and it is our ever-present desire. As Thomas Jefferson put it, “the God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time.” Liberty is indispensable to each person’s self-fulfillment and progress. Nowhere but here was a government instituted to the end that the individual’s rights and sovereignty — liberty — would be guaranteed against, and protected from, the state. Government was to be our servant. Liberty was to be the very definition of America, its heart and soul.

The principal at a New York City high school who was accused of trying to oust white teachers is facing backlash from students who say that her leadership has created a “miserable” environment of “utter disorganization and insanity” as a result of “super underqualified” teachers and staff members and that they fear for their safety. Paula Lev who presides over the High School for Law and Public Service in the city’s Washington Heights area came under fire last year for her discrimination against white teachers, leading to a probe by the NYC Department of Education after she allegedly told a faculty member that she “was going to get rid of

Police are investigating damage to property at a church in Madison, Wisconsin, that was evidently perpetrated by a pro-abortion group. “St. Bernard Catholic Church’s front door and signage were damaged by graffiti, which contained ‘anti-pro-life and anti-police’ messages, according to officers,” WMTV reported Saturday. The messages were scrawled across the front door and entrance in blue spray paint. Photos showed the graffiti read, “Pro Life My [blurred] Let’s Talk About All The Native Kids You’ve Killed”: (Tweet)

'I know it can be exhausting and unsettling,' Biden said , speaking to military families and standing alongside First Lady Jill Biden in the South Lawn. Sen. Mitt Romney penned a Fourth of July op-ed for The Atlantic warning Americans that they're failing to confront serious challenges and that they need to wake up. 'President Joe Biden is a genuinely good man, but he has yet been unable to break through our national malady of denial, deceit, and distrust,' Romney writes. 'A return of Donald Trump would feed the sickness, probably rendering it incurable.' Representative Liz Cheney left the door open on the possibility of a 2024 presidential run on Sunday. Following last year's attack on the U.S. Capitol, the Wyoming Republican emerged as one of the most vocal critics of former President Donald Trump within the Republican Party. She also sits on the House select committee that is investigating the January 6 attack, and has warned against what she views as Trump's negative influence on both the country and GOP. During an interview on ABC News' This Week, journalist Jonathan Karl asked Cheney if she plans to run for president in 2024 "as

Infectious disease experts and public health advocates are warning that the Biden administration has been too slow to respond to the monkeypox outbreak and that the U.S. is at risk of losing control of the disease. The response to monkeypox is mirroring the worst parts of the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, they say, with severely limited testing and a sluggish rollout of vaccines leading to a virus that’s spreading undetected. “Where we have lagged is streamlining testing, making vaccines available, streamlining access to the best therapeutics.(Snip)Unlike COVID-19, monkeypox is not a novel virus, and the strategies to reduce the spread are well known.

Governor Gavin Newsom released attack ads on Monday urging Florida residents to move to California in the days after it became the first state to move to offer all illegal immigrants state-subsidized health insurance. Newsom bought $105,000 worth of ad spots that started airing on Fox News in Florida, which is sparking speculation that he could mount a presidential run in 2024.(Snip)Last weekend, Newsom released a Fiscal Year 2023 budget that includes offering undocumented immigrants, regardless of age, state-subsidized health insurance. Because Independence Day always makes for a slow news weekend, that leaves room for looking at and thinking about other news stories that wouldn’t normally make the grade at American Thinker. The one that caught my eye was the Daily Mail’s huge photo essay showing the wedding of Charlotte Freud, one of Rupert Murdoch’s granddaughters, to Luke Storey, a rapper. It was held in the exquisitely picturesque English Cotswold district but the photos are a testament to the death of beauty in the modern era. If you like things that are quintessentially English, the Cotswold district is the place for you:

Vice President Kamala Harris likened the end of Roe v. Wade to slavery by saying that the Supreme Court's ruling was an example of the United States government 'trying to claim ownership over human bodies.' Harris made the comparison while speaking at the Essence Festival in New Orleans on Saturday. 'We have to recognize we're a nation that was founded on certain principles that are — that are grounded in the concept of freedom and liberty,' she told the crowd. 'We also know that we've had a history in this country of government trying to claim ownership over human bodies. And we had supposedly evolved from that time

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is under fire from fellow Democrats for flight delays and cancellations that have paralyzed the nation’s airports, wrecked holiday travel plans and caused Americans undue financial stress. Progressive lawmakers, in particular, say Mr. Buttigieg needs to do more to rein in airline companies that have taken billions in public subsidies since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s time for the Transportation Department to impose massive fines on poor-performing airlines,” said Sen. Bernard Sanders, a self-described socialist from Vermont. In an email to supporters, Mr. Sanders called on the White House and Mr. Buttigieg to require airlines to refund passengers for flights delayed more

Jump out of a perfectly good airplane, charge a machine gun nest, be stationed at Ft. Irwin – these are just three of the myriad miseries American patriots are willing to endure to defend our country. But today's military is asking too much of our young people, as evidenced by the crashing recruitment rates that threaten to deplete a military already running short of soldiers. Have our young people suddenly turned from heroes to zeros, ne'er-do-well heirs of the brave warriors who confronted the forces of tyrannical gun control at Lexington and Concord?
