Sheila O'Leary stood frozen as jurors walked back into the courtroom and handed a guilty verdict to Judge Bruce E. Kyle regarding her toddler son's death. (snip) The jury convicted O'Leary, 38, of Cape Coral, on six charges: first-degree murder; aggravated child abuse; aggravated manslaughter; child abuse; and two counts of child neglect. (snip) The O’Learys told police after Ezra’s death that the family followed a strict vegan diet, eating only raw fruits and vegetables, but that the toddler was also fed breast milk. (snip) “This child did not eat. He was starved to death over 18 months," said Francine Donnorummo, Special Victims Unit chief at the State Attorney's Office.

The whole concept of these artificially restricted diets is just brainless. We are OMNIVORES, check the teeth. We are intended to eat everything, meat, fruit, veggies, grains, and more. Adults are free to harm their own health by restricting their diets to certain classes of foods, but it literally KILLS children. She is exceptionally dim, not grasping the reality of food requirements. What a rotten, uncaring, narrow minded person.

She is still human (barely), and humans are omnivores. She can eat grass on all fours all day and that doesn't make her a cow anymore than a pervert putting on a thong makes him a woman. Vegans enjoy that feeling of superiority over all us Neanderthal meat-eaters who lack their Woke sense of morality that will surely save the planet. What I want to know is if she has come to her senses now that she is going to jail for torturing and killing her own child, or if the cult's indoctrination is still intact. Will she get a vegan diet in prison?

This reminds me of an episode of the reality TV series “Wife Swap” I once saw. A wife (and young son) from California swapped with a wife in Louisiana. The California wife was vegan. She went to a women’s meeting and was aghast at the potluck dishes she had to choose from. The son, who wasn’t more than ten years old, was listless, ashen complexion and his hair looked like it would fall out any second. Just real malnourished looking for a kid. In one scene, he wasn’t feeling well and the mom asked, “Are you hungry? Do you want me to fix you a salad?” All the kid needed was red meat.

I read a passage from James Herriot’s “All Creatures,Great and Small.” It was about this vegan cat-owning couple, who fed the cat what they ate, i.e., celery, lettuce, and cucumbers. The vet told them cats are obligatory carnivores and must have meat to live. They got the message.

Awful story. But, murder? She's guilty of stupidity. Her children should have been taken away from her and sent to a place where they could have real food. Thought about becoming a vegan but I'm addicted to chili dogs, cheesburgers, BLT, etc. You only go through life one time. At least have some that taste good to eat.

#2, also compare the length of human intestines to those of gorillas, who really are "vegan." (As M'Baku of the Gorilla Tribe said, "Just kidding. We're vegetarians.") Gorillas' are much longer so they can digest all that uncooked plant material (which is why that have that big gut.) Humans, on the other hand, learned to cook, which kind of pre-digests tough foods. That "mother" could have at least cooked her children's food.

This reveals the true purpose of the arrest was to silence Meinecke so the Gay Pride bunch wouldn’t be upset.

As part of the “Time for Choosing” speaker series, Liz Cheney briefly honored former President Ronald Reagan before segueing into a diatribe against former Donald Trump, calling him a “dangerous and irrational man.” Cheney also characterized Republican leadership as being loyal to the former president at the expense of the Constitution. Towards the tail-end of her speech, Cheney celebrated that which gives her the most hope for the future: “young women.”

I wasted 20 years of my life chasing utopian energy. Utopian energy is an imagined form of energy that’s abundant, reliable, inexpensive, and also clean, renewable, and life-sustaining. But utopian energy is as much a fantasy as a utopian society. Seeking the fount of perfect energy allows us to pretend there aren’t real-world tradeoffs between, say, banning fossil fuels and helping people in impoverished nations or between using solar and wind power and conserving natural habitats. For years, I chased utopian energy. I promoted solar, wind, and energy efficiency because I felt like I was protecting the environment.
