Democrats are despairing about the possibility of Kamala Harris becoming the 2024 nominee if President Biden doesn’t seek a second term in office, insiders told The Post. Three polls just this month show more than 50% of Americans hold an unfavorable view of Harris, and those headwinds will likely only increase should Republicans retake the House next year. “Her main problem is not being a woman or mixed race, her problem is she has low ratings just like President Biden,” said Larry Sabato, a professor of Politics at the University of Virginia.

True the Vote leaders Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips were taken into custody by US Marshalls on Monday for refusing to identify a confidential informant to a judge.
Federal Judge Kenneth Hoyt found both of them in contempt of court after they declined to out the informant, according to independent journalist Ivory Hecker.
The judge informed them they would face jail time if they did not comply with the terms of a court order by Monday at 9 am.
“I expect both defendants to be present,” Hoyt asserted.
The judge ordered that Engelbrecht and Phillips be held in custody for at least 24 hours or until they give up the informant,

Trump asked the high court to block the House Ways and Means Committee from uncovering his tax returns. The committee has sought the former president's tax records since 2019 while he was still in office.

President Joe Biden on Saturday again tried to blame Republicans for the attack on Paul Pelosi on Friday.
“You can’t condemn the violence unless you condemn those people who continue to argue the election was not real, that it’s being stolen, that all the malarkey that’s being put out there to undermine democracy,” he said.
