Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., claimed Thursday that a Secret Service agent who may testify before the Jan. 6 committee about the timeline of events that unfolded around former President Donald Trump during the riot "likes to lie."
Two Secret Service agents, Tony Ornato and Robert Engel, are prepared to testify before Congress that then-President Donald Trump did not lunge at a steering wheel or assault them in an attempt to go to the Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot, a source close to the Secret Service told Fox News' David Spunt this week.

When you resort to slandering witnesses usually means your case is very weak.

Kinzinger, you really need some help, pal. What has happened to you. Other than dissing yourself from The Donald. Big mistake, bro. Good thing you are re-districted out of politics. Adios, clown.

Let's assume, just for a moment, that Trump did lunge for the wheel and the agent. THEN what happened? How was the President handled, order maintained, and a wreck avoided? Cassie Smollett's hearsay doesn't tell us.

Does he even know what the truth is?
You can fight to try to tell the truth, you can fight against the cancer in the Republican Party of lies, of conspiracy, of dishonesty,” said Kinzinger
Rep. Adam Kinzinger faced censure from the Republican party, shunning from family and death threats. In his closing statement at Jan. 6th hearing, he called on everyone to “stand for truth and reject the lies.”
As expected the lies continue. Not in any way true. The truth however will be vindicated by the findings of the @January6thCmte pic.twitter.com/3Jc1kkRIRf

January 6 committee's Kinzinger: Secret Service agent who may dispute Hutchinson claim 'likes to lie'
Republicans Don't Deserve House Majority if They Push Lies -Kinzinger
It came in a letter January 8, two days after the Capitol insurrection, and was reported by the New York Times earlier this week. Eleven of Kinzinger's relatives signed on, rebuking him for making "horrible, rude accusations of President Trump," and describing him as having joined "the devil's army."

I would immediately ask for a retraction and an apology if I didn't get it I would sue for libel. Because that statement is with malice and forethought.

There was a time when one dishonored a man and then had to face him in a duel. One did NOT make idle stupid comments like this Kinzinger moron because he would be held responsible...with prejudice. We are now a society of silly people, able to descend to our lowest rung on the ladder, with impunity. Our founders are rolling in their graves. They were brave men and much more intelligent than we are.

What I want to know is the logistics of this.
Was Trump supposedly sitting the passenger seat?
If he were in the back seat (and I presume on the left-hand side, he would have had to reach diagonally across the back compartment (which is like a small sitting room), then across the backward-facing seats behind the front seats, then the front seats, then the body of the driver and and his arms to grab the wheel, avoiding a Secret Service agent in the back(?) and another one (?) in the shotgun seat.
I know Trump is big, but he is also old; how spry was he? And how was he going to drive like that?
If this happened at all, it sounds like a symbolic action. Trump had to know full-well the SS (heh) agents would win this argument.

#16, plus those secret service agents are NOT public figures where nearly anything is okay to say it seems.

Well, if we accept Kinzinger's statement that the Secret Service agent in question likes to lie, there is a simple rememdy: Put the agent on the stand under oath. Ask questions. If he is found to be perjuring himself, then lock him in the clink.

I’m not sure, #s 16 and 19, but think the “speech and debate clause” might shield the POS from liability. Basically Congresscritters can say whatever they want without worrying about slander. (Remember Harry Reid and his “Romney didn’t pay any taxes” lie? Or think of the lies Adam Schiff utters every day). Funny how the speech and debate rule makes sense only if you’re working with people of good will. Alas, we’re not.

But, but, I heard, or read or something that Ms. Cassidy "likes to lie". If accuser and witness both "like to lie", then who can determine who is telling the truth? Could this Jan6 hearing get any more confusing?

Put 'em ALL Under Oath.
Everyone involved.
Every. Single. One.
All the Committee members, All the Witnesses.
.... And make it MANDATORY PUNISHMENT for PERJURY if they are caught LYING!
The question is..... will Schiff, Kinsinger, Swalwell have ANYTHING to say?
I wonder.

Okay, so you are accusing the source of your star witness' hearsay testimony of being a liar? How does that not eviscerate the testimony of your star witness? You've got to be kidding.
