Barr: Public Schools Are Now So Hostile
To Christians, They’re Unconstitutional

The West is facing its deepest civilizational crisis since Jesus Christ resurrected, and addressing the crisis requires removing militant secularists’ monopoly on education, former U.S. attorney general William Barr told a packed Christian conference in Chicago, Ill. on Saturday. “We are going through a fateful crisis in western civilization. This is the deepest crisis we’ve faced in my mind since Christ,” Barr said. “That’s because our whole civilization is based on the Judeo-Christian tradition and that tradition is under sustained attack by increasingly militant secular forces.”

FTA: “In a reprise of a 2019 speech at Notre Dame University that met massive corporate media backlash, Barr told the audience U.S. public schools have become hostile to traditional religion while wresting control of American children’s upbringing from their parents. This is a threat to the entire Western order, Barr said, because the unique American system of self-government cannot exist without a citizenry that is committed to traditional religion. “That’s because there are only two ways to restrain people from following disordered passions, Barr said: internal restraints, which are largely provided by one’s beliefs; and external restraints, which are typically provided by government. So in order to have a limited government, Barr noted in an explicit echo of the American Founders, citizens must practice self-restraint. “Such self-restraint is primarily developed through religious devotion, he said. But religious observance, the keystone of ordered liberty in the West, has been under systematic assault by anti-religious forces Barr called an “atheocracy,” his amalgam of the words “atheist theocracy.” These anti-religious forces now control the minds of American kids due to their monopoly on U.S. education institutions.” A quotation worth noting: Vladimir Lenin ~ “Give us the child for 8 years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.”

Makes one wonder how a fellow who so cogently identifies a major problem in our society today can be so obtuse when it comes to the conduct of the 2020 election and the government-wide corruption; especially in the DoJ. The one good legacy he may have left is in appointing Durham as a Special Prosecutor before leaving office.

I’m glad I retired from teaching in 2016. It was a real slog, the last 5 years, so l retired 3 years earlier than I had planned. The kids were great, but the administration and union on every level, took away the best part of it. I hope things turn around for my grandkids.

It is not just the public schools and the teacher’s union, it is the churches themselves. Churchs’ relationship with the government and the left is indicative to the moral problems we are facing today (or maybe I should say the leadership of the churches…). Remember when they attacked the White House and set that church on fire? If I remember correctly, the leadership of that church sounded as if they were alright with the act and the why it was set on fire. I do not think they are following or teaching Christ, but are teaching and following the way of the world. They do not contemplate God, but how to find away around Him, loopholes of justification…

The midterms happen in November. People expect a huge red wave. So weird that the State Department has offered up to $10 million for any information on foreign interference in our elections: The reward offer seeks information leading to the identification or location of any foreign person or entity who knowingly engaged or is engaging in foreign election interference. The reward offer also seeks information leading to the prevention, frustration, or favorable resolution of an act of foreign election interference, including by dismantling, in whole or significant part, an organization engaged in such activity.(Snip)...it applies to all elections in the country:

Gibson’s Bakery filed today its response to Oberlin College’s request that the Ohio Supreme Court exercise its discretion to hear the college’s appeal from the $32 million judgment (which includes attorney’s fees and costs). That judgment resulted from the $11 million compensatory and $33 million punitive damage awards totalling $44 million, reduced by the trial court under Ohio tort reform law to $25 million. The bulk of that reduction was that over $10 million in punitive damages were eliminated by punitive damage caps.

The reality is that this nation has effectively split into two countries which are, for the moment, tenuously living side-by-side. Race or ethnicity has been the underlying foundation in the creation of every nation in the history of mankind except the United States, as its founding was based on the tenet that all men are created equal and are endowed with certain unalienable rights that government cannot abrogate.

Inflation is mostly to blame for Biden’s catastrophic approval rating, of course. But I think what Axelrod describes here is an underrated reason for flagging left-wing support. It’s not (just) that his policies aren’t progressive enough. It’s the sense that he doesn’t “fight,” to borrow a term from righty populists. And when he does make a gesture towards fighting, like when he endorsed creating an exception to the filibuster for abortion rights, he’s destined to end up losing that fight. It doesn’t help either that he’s 79 years old. Watch two minutes of Axelrod here, which picks up with him discussing Biden’s call for a filibuster carve-out.
