The past few weeks have been extremely troubling for those who value democracy, freedom, human rights, and civil liberties within the United States of America. (snip) Recently, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testified that a Disinformation Governance Board has been set up to counter disinformation (snip) Will they be able to prosecute people for spreading ‘disinformation? Will this board be restricted to focus on social media only as its tool, or will the powers also apply to ‘right-wing media’ directly? We do not know. However, that is not the only concern, there have been other assaults on democratic values.

The Democrat party should be outlawed and its leaders barred from holding public office ever again. They're worse than a foreign power trying to destroy us by force... they're masquerading as loyal Americans and trying to destroy us from within. There are no better than spies and saboteurs.

Ask Dems to define the word, "democracy." They want pure democracy, the dictatorship of the majority. And they want to allow illegals and those in comas to vote via their handlers. So, they always win, or else "democracy" was imperiled. We'd prefer a representative republic over pure democracy. We prefer allowing all legal voters, who can sign their name, the vote.

Actually, the Founding Fathers themselves put democracy into grave peril as the fully recognized the dangers of democracies from the outset. That is why they drew things up as a Republic. The only thing that was originally designed to be democratic was the aptly named House of Representatives. Not the Senate, not the Presidency and even WE know in the 21st Century, not the courts. The Senate lost its original charter with the 17th Amendment. If we lose the Electoral College then you can stick a fork in the U.S.

"Will they be able to prosecute people for spreading ‘disinformation? Will this board be restricted to focus on social media only as its tool, or will the powers also apply to ‘right-wing media’ directly? We do not know." WE KNOW! We know that "restrictions" will eventually be ignored, and sooner than later this entity's activities will turn on all speech, including Democrats' speech as they deem appropriate. No speech will be immune. An entity such as this cannot be contained.

the demcommies want the United States reduced to a vassal state, then they can invoke more repressive and suppressive enactments - the repubs had better do something significant if they take the House and, hopefully, the Senate in 2022 & 2024, when our duly elected President, Donald J. Trump, again, assumes the White House

Since Kevin McCarthy is the leading Republican in the House of Representatives you would think that there would be an across the board full court press to determine who has been monitoring and recording his cell phone and possibly other conversations and not alone who leaked his cellphone conversation to the leftist media? So far all we have heard from the Democrat leadership in Congress is silence regarding that issue, with Biden using that matter as a basis for an anti-Republican joke at the White House Correspondence Dinner that was broadcast to the country on TV.

It is a fiction that the USA is a mere democracy. The USA is a constitutional democratic republic. The constitution defends the natural rights of individuals, free speech, trial by jury, protection against unreasonable searches, and so on. It also defines how the republic is structured and divides and limits it powers. The democratic part of our government gives voice to the people via elections, a voice disciplined by the first two parts of government. Take away those parts and what do you have? A mob, and a mob is nothing more than chaotic brutality.

There has never been an American democracy, you idiot. We have a representative republic. The founding fathers very specifically rejected and abhorred democracy as anarchy guaranteed.

If so, great. Democracy is thug-ocracy. Rule by the parasite mob. The majority of Americans pay no income tax, they're freeloaders and rent seekers without a shred of moral principles, and they maintain an illegitimate wealth-redistribution system of government The Democrat Party should be outlawed and its supporters barred from ever voting.

After the fourth email of Putin’s hand flapping crossed my desk, I gave in and started my research. Those dozens of dust-binned claims of Putin being on death’s door might even have some credibility. (snip) Let’s get one thing clear from the beginning. That hand flapping tremor in the video just doesn’t look like Parkinson’s. (snip) Flapping tremors are called “asterixis” and are most commonly a result of alcoholism and liver failure. The tremor is not what should bother us. Rather, the metabolic consequences of lifetime vodka consumption should concern us. That gradually causes liver failure and increased blood ammonia levels.

Twenty twenty was a bitter defeat for many of us, and the charges of fraud were not without merit. (snip) For all the illegality, though, I think 2020 is going to be seen as a Pyrrhic victory, with so many of the Democrats' bad ideas catching up with them and as the black and Hispanic base sours on Biden and his party. A wipe-out in 2022 will surprise no one. To a certain extent, we have been here before. Voters back in the 1980s walked away from the Democrats heralding the Reagan Revolution, and many never looked back. But a lot of party leaders understood their problems

These are desperate times for the Democrats in Washington, the poll and the mood of the nation suggest that they will receive an emphatic shellacking during the mid-terms in November. The Democrats just have around six months to act. Desperate times demand desperate measures, so the Democrats are resorting to sneaky tactics such as ‘leaks’ hoping it will benefit them. They leaked messages between President Trump's chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and key GOP figures and Trump aides to portray Republicans as insurrectionists and fascists looking to subvert the course of democracy. The New York Times leaked a conversation allegedly between House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Liz Cheney

Even before the Ukraine war began, people were speculating that something was physically wrong with Putin. He looked puffy, not as if he’d gained weight, but as if he were reacting to medicines. Speculation escalated with recent videos showing him clutching a table and with a badly shaking hand. Now, The Sun, a British tabloid, is claiming that Putin is going under the knife for a cancer operation, as well as suffering from Parkinson’s. As early as January 3, Britain’s Telegraph paper was suggesting that Putin is seriously ill.

If there is anything most clearly barred by the First Amendment to the federal government, it is the authority to create an obscure, unaccountable bureaucracy to decide what is “disinformation” and what isn’t. That is censorship, pure and simple. Biden is doing this despite the fact the First Amendment says Congress “shall make no law” that gives anybody, anywhere in the federal government the power to censor speech
