President Joe Biden thinks you and I need a Far-Left Mary Poppins to tell the rest of us what we can and cannot read and hear, so he’s appointed her to run the Department of Homeland Security’s newly established Disinformation Governance Board (DGB).
If there is anything most clearly barred by the First Amendment to the federal government, it is the authority to create an obscure, unaccountable bureaucracy to decide what is “disinformation” and what isn’t. That is censorship, pure and simple.
Biden is doing this despite the fact the First Amendment says Congress “shall make no law” that gives anybody, anywhere in the federal government the power to censor speech

The UniParty sticks together. There is too much $$$ involved. Members of the UP get rich over time. Both factions of the UP are complicit. They take turns running the UP.

C'mon man, this is the republican party we are talking about. Aside from a few indignant speeches and sternly-worded letters, they will allow mindless Joe to use "infrastructure" money from other accounts and executive orders to push this Orwellian nonsense on us. It will be up to We the People to challenge the Thought Police and ignore this gigantic slap in our faces by fighting back via every variety of media we have. Say it like it is no matter the consequences. The Left has been pushing this PC nonsense for years now, insisting that we use the proper pronouns for the sexually confused, crimes, minority behavior, criminal activity in government, using the correct language in schools, in print and labeling our best efforts as disrespectful, insurrectionist, racist, homophobic and islamophobic.
FTA: "The only thing that can stop him is Congress refusing to fund the DGB."
Wrong, the only thing that can stop Joe and his handlers can not be mentioned freely because, you know...
This DGB overreach attempt may get bloody, as well it should.

As I usually say…. nothing will happen and I’m always right. The GOP is a bunch of invertebrates.

Ladydawgfan you took the words right out of my mouth.I will welcome a red tsunami but I won't be popping any champagne until I have some assurance that the leadership in the House and Senate are going to demonstrate the same courage and commitment to our country and Constitution that I only see in the likes of Rand Paul, Marsha Blackburn, Josh Hawley, John Kennedy, Ted Cruz and too few others. If we just have another round of country club Republicans debating the impeachability of wearing white after Labor Day then we can rest assured that the American Dream has come to a nightmarish end.

How many times did we give them a majority on their promise of repealing obama care? They did nothing.

Dems do not intend to have an election. They will NOT allow a "red wave". In the next election (NOV) 2 things will happen either 1) biden will declare a "national emergency" and instate Martial Law so there will be no election or 2) he will say "citizens" should vote but "residents" should get to vote too. Thereby letting all the new millions of illegals to vote. He will give them money from the taxpayers to bribe them and they will dutifully vote dem in return. And, of course, repubs will do nothing as they usually do and dems will win forever. Or we can get out and watch every poll site, day and night, during the counting and watch every drop box. Take video. If the box is outside it is public and no one can stop you from videoing in public.

If the past is any indication, and it usually is, the republicans will do nothing or worse. They will ignore all the lofty campaign promises and hold the line the democrats drew toward communism. They will continue to raise the debt limit, raise taxes, raise federal spending and start pointless wars in foreign countries. At best they are wimps. At worst they are in on it.

I'm not holding my breath. There are too few Constitutional conservatives who don't mind term limits or checking runaway Federal government with a Convention of States to make a difference.

Mitch McConnell will hide under his rock and work hard for four years to make sure President Trump is a failure. Exactly what he and Paul Ryan did last time. Nothing will get MMc out of there till he dies. He is "China's man" in Washington and spends most of his time handing out Chinese largesse to his minions...the rest of the Deep State/Swamp.

Only if they show McConnell and McCarthy the door. These 2 guys are Deep State Guardians.

Surely you jest. Newt and the House did make some changes in 1994, but this crew? We actually have some spoiled rotten snowflakes and go along to get along Republicrats. As long as the "Mighty Mitch," who has FIVE more long years, is in control, as we say down South, 'ain't nuttin' gonna change, momma.'

It's possible, but a significant part of the "Repubicans" are RINOs and Uniparty, totally and completely opposed to any changes of their corrupt system in DC.

I am not going to vote for a Republican to find out. Past behavior is the best clue to future behavior. No more lesser of two evils.

RINOs show their true selves after elections, examples being Ryan, Boehner, Chaney, Collins, McConnell and Romney. Sorry, folks! You'll vote for a 'conservative' Republican in the next election, that person will take office and immediately do two things; hang a 'votes'for sale' sign on the office door in the capitol buiilding and try to curry favor with the lefties in the MSM.

What OP said republicans enjoy riding in the back seat they are not street fighters like Trump or MLG, Cruz, Gatz and a few others. I don't hold out hope for good lawful government to ever return.

"finally walk the talk"? I doubt it. They could spend the next term congratulating themselves.

If they win the House and vote McCarthy as speaker, the answer is absolutely not.

It would be nice but I'm not holding my breath. Pubbies always seem to have a knack for snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory!! We have yet to see if this time it will be any different.
