One of Washington’s goals in responding to the Ukraine crisis is to erode Russia’s ability to carry out future military actions akin to the now three-month-old invasion of Ukraine, Defense Secretary of State Lloyd Austin said Monday upon returning from a stealth visit to Kyiv. “We want to see Russia weakened to the degree that it can’t do the kinds of things that it has done in invading Ukraine,” Mr. Austin told reporters in Poland, where he and Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived early Monday after traveling by train to the Ukrainian capital. Security was tight for the trip,

Great. I’m sure putin will go quietly as requested by the bidet family Ukraine looters.
What if the bidets weaken the US more through mismanagement- intentionally or due to incompetence- how does that affect the equation of Russian weakness?
Maybe its time for hollary clitton to get a new “overcharged” button. She can fly in and get this mess cleaned and bill can have some girls over while she’s gone.

Here is a fun exercise.
Look at the photo of Austin. Ignore his negritude, but focus on his facial expression.
Now picture yourself sitting in a new to you physician's office, and he walks in.
What would you do?
Now imagine he is a dentist. Or attorney. Or accountant.
What would you do?
Finally, imagine that you are President of the Ukraine, and Austin walks in.

If civilized people will stop buying Putin's oil and gas, that will do the trick.

Would someone, anyone remind this creep about Afghanistan? Austin a corrupt failed general and Milley, a corrupt and failed general, are the last people to be heading up any destruction of a nuke power like Russia .

Secretary Austin was a military general so he must have some idea that weakening the future Russian military cannot be done by defensive military actions, it will take offensive actions by the USA, or maybe in concert with NATO that was designed to be a defensive organization in the past. Will the American people go along with USA offensive action against the nuclear armed Russian military inside Russia to deter supposed future uncertain Russian offensive military invasions? Not likely. When young educated Russians are asked on the streets of Moscow about NATO attacking Russia in the future, almost none of them are worried about that as they consider NATO to be a defensive alliance. Maybe Austin was talking about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War weakening the Russian military that has been fighting a World War II type war against modern NATO supplied weapons enough to set the Russians back militarily on the ground for a decade, who knows but one thing is clear, there is no way that the Russian military would be successful in a ground war against the NATO alliance that would have to be started by Russia attacking or invading a NATO country.

Everyone knows a wounded bear is more dangerous than a healthy bear. Better to kill it outright. If the idiots running the US government and their European "allies" could ever get their collective act together, they could starve the bear to death and someone inside the Kremlin would do away with Putin.

Have Hunter convince China sell Putin the first electric tanks and military vehicles that Biden promised us. Just to get the 'kinks' out before we buy them.

A weakened Russia, eh? The SoD needs to keep his hap shut. Saying that Ukraine should be its own sovereign nation is on the mark. Saying you want to weaken Russia does not support that goal. Rather, it serves only to increase the rage of Putin.
The SoD has the nerve to say Biden is leading the Allies. What a bloody suck-up! . . . and the horse he rode in on!

If a weakened Russia feels threatened, they'll be more likely to use whatever 'strength' they still have (i.e. nukes). So, as the saying goes, be careful what you ask for; you just might get it.

The Russians seem to be doing a pretty good job of weakening themselves as long as we keep shipping weapons to Ukraine.
Unfortunately, our leadership is all incompetent, racist fools who also want the US military weakened.

Why would anyone in authority say such a thing publicly? Either he’s a complete buffoon or he’s trying to start a hot war with Russia. I suppose he could be both.

Russia has been weakened since the collapse of the USSR. Unless you are drooling over the prospect of WWIII, leave Russia alone. You will never see the gay rainbow flag flying beside the Russian flag.

Here I thought Chuck Hagel was the most clueless Sec Def. Lloyd Austin has got to be the most buffoonish, clueless down right idiotic person ever to occupy that Pentagon office ever. Meanwhile Xi and his Chicom government is furthering their ambitions during this period. You won't hear a peep about that from this moron or Blinky Blikin.
