The U.S. has been feeding the Ukrainian military with real-time intelligence on Putin's war plan, which allowed Ukraine to shoot down a Russian transport plane carrying hundreds of troops in the early days of the invasion. Ukraine's successful attack on the Russian IL-76 transport plane near the Kyiv airport in February was conducted after receiving info from the U.S. in an unprecedented intelligence-sharing operation with a non-NATO partner, former and current U.S. officials told NBC. Two such planes were brought down around the same time. Details on which of the two aircraft were shot down thanks to US intelligence have not been shared.

Horrifying video captures the moment that dozens of gunshots rang out in the vicinity of a youth baseball game in South Carolina.
Monday night, during a Dixie Youth league baseball game at Pepperhill Park in North Charleston, the group of kids on the field can be seen reacting to the sound of shots nearby. At first, the kids were confused, not sure what’s going on. When it dawned on them what is happening, they all ran for cover. ABC News 4, the local news affiliate that distributed video of the incident, reports that one of the team’s coaches lobbied the league to no longer hold games at the park

Joe Biden agreed to pay son Hunter's legal fees for his deal with a Chinese government-controlled company, emails reveal. The revelation ties the president even closer to Hunter's overseas business dealings—and makes his previous claims that he never discussed them with his son, even less plausible. Joe was able to pay the bills after earning millions of dollars through his and his wife's companies after he left office as vice president.(Snip)But the president's financial filings reveal that he declared almost $7million more income on his tax returns than he did on his government transparency reports, an analysis by DailyMail.com of the president's financial records shows.

Russia's top diplomat has warned that NATO is now fighting a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine and there is a 'very serious' risk the conflict could turn nuclear. Sergei Lavrov, speaking on Russian state TV last night, accused western leaders of risking a third world war by supplying heavy weapons to Ukraine with the goal of 'wearing down the Russian army'—an aim he described as an 'illusion'. Accusing NATO and its allies of attempting to bully Russia on the international stage, Lavrov said that tensions between east and west are now worse than during the Cuban missile crisis at the height of the Cold War. Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter already has produced at least one liberal casualty. Shaun King apparently quit the platform after having claimed earlier in the day that Mr. Musk wanted to buy the platform to advance “white power.” “At its root, @ElonMusk wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left vs right. It’s about white power. The man was raised in Apartheid by a white nationalist. He’s upset that Twitter won’t allow white nationalists to target/harass people. That’s his definition of free speech,” King tweeted just after 9 a.m. Monday, as rumors were circulating of the imminent purchase. In another tweet, the Black Lives Matter activist noted that Mr. Musk

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom on Monday identified Afghanistan as a “country of particular concern,” citing the Taliban’s crackdown on religious liberty in its annual report.
“The Taliban has gone after religious minorities, people that have either changed their faith or whose belief isn’t consistent with [the Taliban’s] faith, and they consider that they’ve committed apostasy by even existing in Afghanistan,” said commission Chair Nadine Maenza. In its 2022 report, the commission also points to Russia, Iran, India, Nigeria, Syria and Vietnam among 15 nations the State Department should designate as being of “particular concern” to the United States because of their egregious repression of religious liberty.

Swapping animal products for future foods such as insect protein or cultured milk could reduce global warming, water and land use by over 80 per cent, a new study suggests. Researchers used computer modelling to find the optimal diet combination to meet nutritional needs, while also minimising global warming potential, water and land use. They found that if people in Europe replaced meat and dairy with foods produced through new technologies, such as making fake steak out of bovine cells, it could significantly reduce all environmental impacts. Not only that, but it would be nutritionally adequate and meet the constraints for what can be feasibly consumed, according to experts

A New Jersey software engineer lived a dark double life as a “sleeper agent” in an elite Hezbollah unit, scouting terror targets in New York City for the militant group, federal prosecutors charged at the start of his trial Monday. Alexei Saab, 45, kept up appearances as a “normal” law-abiding US citizen—all while gathering intelligence on a number of Big Apple landmarks, tunnels and bridges, Assistant US Attorney Sam Adelsberg said in his opening statement. “He posed as a regular guy,” Adelsberg said. “In reality, he was a sleeper agent for Hezbollah ready to strike.” Saab was recruited by the terror organization as a college student in Lebanon

Black Lives Matter PAC burned through nearly all of its $116,000 cash reserves in just the first three months of 2022—paying the most significant chunk to a firm owned by a BLM board member. Bowers Consulting Firm, a company run by BLM board member Shalomyah Bowers, was the highest-paid BLM PAC vendor during the first quarter of 2022, having received $45,000 from the PAC for 'strategic consulting services,' the Washington Examiner reported. The University of Waterloo has an opening for a tenure track assistant professor specializing in science and engineering—but white men need not apply. According to a listing from the Canadian university last month, the position is available only to women, or 'qualified individuals who self-identify as women, transgender, non-binary, or two-spirit'—a gender-variant derived from Native American culture. Men, meanwhile, will not be considered, the school says—especially if they are white. The assistant professor role in the school's Natural Science and Engineering Research division would pay between $90,000 and $120,000 a year, according to the ad. Negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered
