Liberal activist Shaun King: Elon Musk’s
Twitter purchase ‘about white power’

Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter already has produced at least one liberal casualty. Shaun King apparently quit the platform after having claimed earlier in the day that Mr. Musk wanted to buy the platform to advance “white power.” “At its root, @ElonMusk wanting to purchase Twitter is not about left vs right. It’s about white power. The man was raised in Apartheid by a white nationalist. He’s upset that Twitter won’t allow white nationalists to target/harass people. That’s his definition of free speech,” King tweeted just after 9 a.m. Monday, as rumors were circulating of the imminent purchase. In another tweet, the Black Lives Matter activist noted that Mr. Musk

What a Nazi pedophilia cultist thing for Shaun to say. Of course, he and his comrades-in-craziness see everything they don't like as racist, and white supremacy a synonym for "evil". It's their pathology. I'll give the guy props for one thing, though -- he actually left. Unlike most of the Left, whose threats to leave are empty virtue signaling.

Elon Musk may have thicker skin than even Donald Trump. For example, he is not at all affected by being criticized ad nauseum or being sued left and right. Perhaps his immense wealth is a wonderful shield against many things that could disturb, or even devastate, most people. He's a heck of a lot stronger than meets the eye. Twitter is in good hands.

Boeing unveiled $2.7 billion in charges and added costs across its aircraft portfolio on Wednesday, and expressed doubts over hitting jet delivery targets as technical problems, inflation and supplier risks cloud its path toward recovery. Shares of the US planemaker fell to a nearly 1-1/2 year low after it posted a quarterly loss and announced it was halting 777X production through 2023 due to a fresh delay in its entry into service after certification problems and weak demand. “Another dreadful set of results,” Agency Partners analyst Nick Cunningham said in a client note, adding that a “general sense of disarray continues.”

President Biden next week will visit a Javelin anti-tank missile factory in Alabama, the White House announced Wednesday, the source of a weapon that is playing a key role in Ukraine’s defense against a two-month-old Russian invasion. Mr. Biden will visit the Lockheed Martin facility amid concerns that the U.S. is depleting its supply of long-range, guided Javelin missiles as it continues to ship the weapons to Kyiv to fend off Russian tanks. The White House did not offer any further details about the trip. The visit comes as lawmakers raise concerns about the U.S.’s Javelin missile supply, which has dropped 33% since the Ukraine

Alejandro Mayorkas insisted Wednesday that the border crisis is being 'effectively managed' despite a decades-high number of crossings and estimates that it could triple once Title 42 is ended next month. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) head solely blamed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for repealing Title 42, claiming during a hearing on Capitol Hill that the CDC has 'exclusive jurisdiction' of the public health measure. He also said that stopping construction of former President Donald Trump's southern border wall has cost DHS $72 million–but the cost could be much higher considering much of the project falls under the purview of the Army Corps of Engineers,

President Joe Biden is banning traditional incandescent lightbulbs in a push to be more energy efficient, but critics claim the switch to LED alternatives will prove costly for poorer Americans. The Department of Energy (DOE) adopted two new rules Tuesday that strengthen energy efficiency standards for lightbulbs and will effectively phase out the sale of traditional bulbs by next year. However, consumer analysts allege that not only are LED bulbs more expensive, costing nearly $4 each as opposed to $1 for an incandescent bulb, but are often not stocked in stores in lower-income communities. Around 30 percent of the two billion bulbs sold in the US every year are incandescent.

The U.S. has been feeding the Ukrainian military with real-time intelligence on Putin's war plan, which allowed Ukraine to shoot down a Russian transport plane carrying hundreds of troops in the early days of the invasion. Ukraine's successful attack on the Russian IL-76 transport plane near the Kyiv airport in February was conducted after receiving info from the U.S. in an unprecedented intelligence-sharing operation with a non-NATO partner, former and current U.S. officials told NBC. Two such planes were brought down around the same time. Details on which of the two aircraft were shot down thanks to US intelligence have not been shared.
