QUILCENE, Wash. - Two Jefferson County fire departments rescued a California woman who became stuck in a vault toilet at the top of Mount Walker on Tuesday after falling in the toilet to retrieve her phone. Mount Walker is located in Quilcene, Washington and is part of the Olympic National Forest. The woman told rescuers that she dropped her cell phone down into the vault toilet while she was using it. She tried to take the toilet apart to get it, but when that didn't work, she said she used her dog's leash to try and fish it out.

It was probably an iPhone but surprisingly she wasn't from Florida (although California is a close second).

Her pride nearly killed her but was fortunate enough to get a signal inside the concrete vault. I guess everything came out well in the end.

The term is "Outhouse", she went headfirst, though the chit-hole, into the cesspool of an Outhouse...Intentionally...over a Cell Phone. Perhaps there is(or will be) a TikTok from her...sharing the experience?

You know that she had to be from California, as who else would take a head first dive down the toilet hole in an outhouse?

These are NOT 'porta potties'. These are a standard Forest Service design, all identical all over the country, I have seen them in National Parks and Nat Forest campgrounds in many states. They are a large concrete unit, I think pre-cast and buried on site. About 8 ft by 8 ft footprint, concrete slab, which is the roof of the roughly 7 or 8 ft deep chamber. A white plastic stool on top, some toilet paper dispensers and a wooden building around it. Very dimwitted to climb down on dog leashes, without even considering the extreme "ick factor".

She's from California. That's a partial explanation right there. The phone is probably one of those that 0bama gave out.

Will we ever have a time in politics where we won’t have Nancy Pelosi to kick around anymore, to paraphrase Richard Nixon? According to a new book from New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alex Burns, that time may come sooner than you think, but not necessarily for the reasons you’d assume. Punchbowl offers a big preview of This Will Not Pass, due out on May 3, and of Pelosi’s disgust with her caucus and the White House.

ATLANTA (AP) — When Democrat Stacey Abrams first ran for Georgia governor in 2018, her lackluster personal finances and a hefty bill from the IRS gave Republicans fodder to question how she could manage a state budget when she struggled with her own debts. As she launches a second bid this year, that’s no longer an issue. Abrams now says she’s worth $3.17 million, according to state disclosures filed in March. That’s compared with a net worth of $109,000 when she first ran four years ago.
