Fresh off her suspension from “The View” for saying “the Holocaust wasn’t racist,” Whoopi Goldberg is making headlines once again.
The 66-year-old actress, known for her roles in the movies “Sister Act” and “Ghost,” is no stranger to making controversial statements. It was just last month that “The View” suspended her from the program for her widely panned comments claiming the Holocaust wasn’t about race.
Now she’s on a tear about the British Royal Family, deploring their role in the country’s imperialist past and calling on them to apologize for what she perceives to be the British Empire’s historical sins.

If it weren't for British colonialism and Arab slave traders, Whoopi would most likely be living in a mud hut, gathering firewood to boil up some monkey meat for her fourteen kids.

Can you just go away, Whoopi. The rulers now had absolutely nothing to do with slavery. Give it a break.

Who is Whoopi Goldberg, and why does her opinion merit publication?

Which country was the first in the world to outlaw slavery within its rule?
That would be Britain. They beat us by about 30 years.

In 1833, the British Parliament passed bill that emancipated slaves, both in Great Britian and in the British Empire. King William IV signed the bill into law. (Queen Elisabeth II is a descendent of King William IV.) Part of this bill paid reparations to the slave owners. IOW, just like Abraham Lincoln, the royal family brought an end to slavery. Whoopie is ignorant of history.

People like Whoopi and Hostin are always selective in who the hold responsible for the slave trade in Europe and the US that ended long ago. Why don't they ever blame the Africans and Arabs who provided the slaves? Many still practice slavery today. As for wars and taking over other countries... That has been happening since the beginning of time. Native Americans did it, African tribes did it, Arabs did it, Vikings did it, and Europeans did it. It made the world we have today. Whoopi and Hostin would be still living in Africa in much different circumstances if non of this had occurred. Nobody owes anyone an apology, it's HISTORY!

Britain is a country made up of white. You won't see Whoopi making any statements about a knee grow country and their sins.

If you study the history of European colonialism, you quickly learn that the British, unlike other European countries, always left behind a functioning native government structure.
That is a plus, by any measure.
I used to do an exercise with my students where I offered the hypothesis that everyone in the U.S. who were not black, died. What problems would blacks still have, and how would they deal with those problems.
We sometimes had interesting discussions on that.
But would that be hate speech by modern classroom standards??

In 1911, Booker T. Washington wrote:
There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.
This quote describes this race-baiting POS to a T.

Take a number, take a seat Whoopi. There is a lot more to digging up Queen Victoria and her parents than just wishing it so. The current queen was born a couple of generations after the event you think you are talking about. Ditto her offspring.

Whoopie should read up on more history. In the 15th century, with Europeans exploring the Indian Ocean countries for spices, on their way they bought black slaves from African slavers in African slave markets, this was the root of the trans-Atlantic slavery that spread Africans to Europe and to the western hemisphere. At the time, slavery was thought of as ordinary and normal as taxes are today, but a movement began against this practice in the 18th century. Willian Wilberforce, an English MP and Quaker, along with others, led a years-long campaign to end slavery. He was successful, Abolition in the USA added to the ending of slavery on a large scale. Whoopie and others should thank old England and the US that slavery does not exist in our countries. She should also remember that in the 15th through the 17th centuries, north Africans, Barbary Pirates, took more European slaves than were taken across the Atlantic later on. Will Whoopie apologize for some possible family tree members that might have been involved?

Subjugation is still practiced, even in "free" countries. One wonders why human traffickers are never charged with enslavement. Who's fooling who, Whoopi? "Human rights" are not about race, nor the past.

If people, of all races, can't be lifted up and become successful in this country, it's their own fault or that of their parents. There are too many examples of people, of all races, becoming successful here.

The British Empire never completed their conquest of Africa although they gave it the old royal try. If they had focused on that continent instead of sailing all over the world attempting to create colonies, all of which eventually threw them out, Britain would have reached true greatness. As for Whoopie, I would not have spent good money at a slave auction for that dog.

Whoopsie Goldberg left the realm of reality and actual logic long ago. Does she remember the late great Ali for his statement appreciating his ancestors for being in the greatest country in the world? That was after he came back from that fight he did that was held in Africa I believe. He knew that he was blessed to be here. Most of these folks, like Whoopsie, have never been to Africa and have no clue how much they are blessed to be here. With the ease of travel these days, they might consider going back to Africa and spreading their wealth around.
One more thing. On behalf of the multiple abortions she had in her youth as her chosen method of birth control, I demand she apologize to those unborn babies she threw away.

Not until Whoopi apologizes for the murder of every White man woman and child — thousands of them — in Haiti. Or until she apologizes for the enslavement of a million Europeans by Northern Africans. She can’t cherry pick history.

She'd still be walking 3 miles each morning to get a bundle of sticks for the cook fire and digging sweet potatoes in a grass hut in sub-Saharan Africa without the way history went.
Perhaps she should move back and learn to do that.

Why doesn't she contact her Afrikan family and ask them for an apology that they sold the ugliest dog in the family?! When the Portuguese came to Afrikka it was the blacks who offered their family members for sale. As they still do to this day!1000 years before Europeans started slavery Saudi Arabia had been very busy with it. As were Asian countries. Just put a pie in your face ugly whoop di doody and stay as ugly and stupid as you have always been!
