How does the FBI 'lose' a laptop like
Hunter Biden's?

Some things don't make sense. That brings us to some testimony from the FBI's assistant director for cybersecurity who told Congress's Rep. Matt Gaetz that he had no idea where Hunter Biden's laptop, entrusted to FBI custody, actually is: According to the Post Millennial: "Who has it?" Gaetz asked. "I don’t know who has it," said [FBI Assistant Director for the Cyber Division Bryan] Vorndran. "What now you're telling me right here is that as the Assistant Director of FBI Cyber, you don't know where this is, after it was turned over to you three years ago?" Gaetz said. "Yes, sir. That's an accurate statement," Vorndran responded.

A. By design. We have seen this play out with other items the FBI should have possession of. But, since losing embarrassing stuff comes without punishment, it will continue to happen until someone is held accountable, hence this will continue indefinitely.

The hard drive is of vital importance, but the laptop itself has no legal value as evidence, does it? I have been asking here for any attorney to chime in on best evidence rule. Back almost 20 years ago, a parish priest from Edinboro, Pa, was arrested for possession of child pornography, but never taken to trial, because the Pennsylvania State Police computer guy did not download the child porn from the priest's computer, 'properly' and therefore, it was not admissible. Could that happen here? Fruit from the poison tree???

FTA: "I don’t know who has it," said [FBI Assistant Director for the Cyber Division Bryan] Vorndran. He's speaking the truth. It was purposely set up so that he and many others do not know who has it. They don't WANT to know. Call it plausible deniability or call it semantics... the government agency that is set up to combat public corruption is intentionally attempting to obstruct justice.

Democrats don't seem to ever learn Economics 101, do they? That's obvious enough in their various bone-headed schemes to beat soaring gas prices at the pump by throwing new money at the problem. Fox11 has the story: One proposal comes from Reps. Mike Thompson of California, John Larson of Connecticut, and Lauren Underwood of Illinois. The congressional lawmakers propose the Gas Rebate Act of 2022 where Americans would get an energy rebate of $100 per month (and $100 for each dependent) for the rest of 2022 in any month where the national average gas prices exceed $4.00 per gallon.
