Representative Michael Cloud (R-TX) is raising awareness on a growing problem within America: The State’s violation of God-given, natural rights to protect life, liberty, and property.
Representative Cloud made a recent appearance on NTD’s Capitol Report and shared some alarming news about the encroachment of the federal government to monitor, track, record, and potentially act upon knowledge of gun sales and purchases. It seems obvious that in the wrong hands, information about gun ownership could quickly turn into a bloody mess. Would guns be outrageously taxed? Confiscated? To what end would they pursue goals of civilian disarmament?

I just read that in Missouri, Medicaid applications are taking 99 days to process when the government only "allows" 45 days. In that context, what could this totally inept and incompetent federal 'government" do with a billion records of anything?
What this actually says is that there are one billion reasons why the government cannot throw away the 2nd amendment.

Come and get 'em you jack-booted little boy scouts. Not only do we have a gazillion guns, we are very good with them. The 2nd Amendment is not easy to ignore, like Joey and the Clowns have with the rest of the Constitution.

This is a deep state project. It does 2 things:
1. It tells them where the guns are, so they can confiscate them, and...
2. It tells them how many guns there are, out there, potentially aimed at them, to keep them awake at night.

Even if you trust our corrupt FBI not to misuse the information in this database, it has probably been hacked or otherwise made available to foreign states like China or Russia that would use the information to confiscate weapons if the USA were invaded. The damage has probably already been done.

The Founding Fathers put the 2nd Amendment into the U.S. Constitution to guarantee that Americans have the means to put down oppressive government. Gun registration is the first step to confiscate them.
The battle at Concord Bridge was an American response to British troops attempt to confiscate Colonial arms. Americans remembered this. Some of us still do!

The lists will be forwarded to Obama's civilian army (cough, blm) so they'll know which houses to burglarize.

Biden and his cabal continue down this lawless unconstitutional path with seemingly little opposition. Where is the Republican Party? Are we just going to surrender to these anti-American zealots? If the situation in Ukraine does not make the case for the Second Amendment, what does? This administration is consolidating its power to use it against us and information is power. I can’t help but wonder if any of the individuals involved in this information gathering ever give a thought to what they are doing. Do they even consider they are infringing upon the rights of their fellow citizens? How can you do something you know is inherently wrong? Are they so lacking in character and integrity? Do they not understand they are nothing but useful idiots managed by a class of people who would eliminate them in a heartbeat if they felt their agenda was threatened?

According to law, the seller, the firearm make, model and serial number is retained by the feds, and supposedly, the buyer’s identity is not. So, are the feds now keeping firearms purchasers’ names in a database, or are these 1 billion records from defunct gun stores who are required to submit sales records to the government? Please advise.

Whatever happened to "I got nothing to hide"? I don't know that 2A prohibits recordkeeping. Odd that so many who will readily surrender liberty to our government for security are bothered by this information in those hands. Who knows? Could be used to call up that militia when the time comes.
TIme to buttonhole your Member of Congress and Senators...this is more serious than reforming Daylight Savings Time.

Re those who proclaim conservatism while never finding a leftist cause that didn't have some merit, or a conservative idea that wasn't worth criticizing - there are federal laws that specifically prohibit any arm of the government from creating a database of gun owners. Specifically outlawed....and yet they do it WITH IMPUNITY. The FBI does not enforce the laws, they enforce politics. Anything that Dems and corrupt Deep State folks do is OK, but anything, even legal, that constitutionalists, especially high profile constitutionalists do is illegal and they will be harassed and imprisioned by the FBI/KGB.

These are records from dealers who have ceased business. Dealers who close are required to send their bound books of firearm transfers and their past 20 years of 4473 yellow forms to the ATF. Those do contain the purchaser's name and the firearm model ans serial number.
They have no information for any firearms bought from retailers who are still in business.
And that is not transmitted in a NICS check.

Lots of guns are purchased without paperwork! Sale between individuals and family members! I don’t buy the one billion! There are 350 million Americans! Do the math! Idiots!

This is straight out of the East German Stasi Playbook:
Step ONE: Compile voluminous records of all people
Step TWO: Determine the ones who pose a risk to the State
Step THREE: Concoct a story and plant evidence to incriminate specific individuals with criminality or treason against the State
Step FOUR: Raid the perpetrator's residence and confiscate all weapons and evidence
Step FIVE: Conduct a public trial and demonstrate to the People that their government is protecting them from unstable people for the public good.
Step SIX: Remove the criminal and confiscate their property.
If you look in the media recently you will find stories of the ATF taking guns from returning military veterans and taking away their right to bear arms based on flimsy and hastily concocted psychological determinations of mental instability. A government Bureaucracy is making medical determinations that affect a CITIZENS' right to purchase or possess a firearm. All of this is happening out in the open and no one is alarmed.
Once the above becomes "standard procedure" in our Republic, it will only require a Tweet, or a Facebook post, or a comment on the Blogosphere to invite the Jackboots to come and take them with the full force of the Police State.
Beware of Targeted Incriminations of Politically Incorrect Individuals with the intent of removing their right to self protection, hence opening them up to BLM/Antifa-style targeted violence.
This is the beginning of the Police State.
Demand this Database ERASED in its entirety, or, better yet, totally corrupt it with so much false information that it will never be trusted.

The good thing about the 2nd Amendment is that it is self-enforcing. To take a gun you need to get by the gun.
